No, it did not. It peaked at #12 for 2 weeks: October 26 and November 2. Maybe you mean "Modern Rock," but Made of Steel, myself, and presumably aTunes, are talking about Mediabase Alternative. In any case, that's what's being assumed since these forums weren't designated in honor of Billboard.

It's certainly a lot more Alt friendly than say something like GBS from Nickelback which went top ten at Alt. (As in alternative, not billboard modern rock. Alternative, yes; Modern rock, no) #12, actually. Nope, it got to #10 Sorry, hope this settles it though lol

Debuts at #38 on Modern Rock! Their first song to enter the chart in almost 6 years. Last week it reached #6 on Hot 100, becoming their biggest hit in the US!

holy shit I am shocked that this song is this big :o
seriously, debuting on Modern Rock is actually more unexpected than it hitting #6 on the Hot 100, wow!

This kind of reminds me of those hits a few years ago from Smashmouth and so and so and so and so. You know those poppy songs that did well (even on the rock charts) but in the long run weren't good for the career of the band. Thus, the reason I can't even think of the band that had that catchy song about Michael Jackson (or had the video with the kid wearing the MJ glove).

Album came out during the holiday buying season with less than sellar numbers for a group who went 2x or 3x platinum with the previous album. This song wasn't going anywhere and then bingo. Has the song helped the album any or are we just looking at a digital song with downloads?

Good band, btw :) I think the next singles from "When The World Comes Down" will be decisive to "The All-American Rejects. It will tell us a lot about their career... If those singles perform well, this band will stay on the mainstream for many years. Well, and "Gives You Hell" is clearly helping the album holding on! Just look at the fact that it debuted at #15 with 112k while FOB's debuted at #8 with 145k. In the past three weeks, the TAAR's has been ahead of FOB's.

I was thinking of AAF the other day. I almost forgot about Up In The Attic since the only song I remember hearing was Forgive & Forget. I hope they do make a comeback someday. They're an underrated band for sure.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=q080IC3FI8AI have to say I like this remix WAY more than i like the original.....which makes me wonder...does it beg for the Timbaland treatment to blow up like "Apologize".
