Jumped from #36 to #19 on Hot 100. :o Their 4th top 20 hit! "When the World Comes Down" debuted at #15 on BB200 with 112.000 copies sold (Way better than the 76k sold and #24 place on HDD). I believe those are their biggest week sales ever. All good news for TAAR! :) "Move Along" debuted at #6 on BB200, but only with 90.000 copies sold.

Seriously, i've heard all kind of covers of that song, and all are equally terrible as the original.

#18 on Hot 100. (new peak)
I would like to see "Real World" as the second single. For 3rd and 4th singles I would probably choose "Another Heart Calls" and "The Wind Blows" respectively.

This is such a Hot AC song from them. But it doesn't have quite the identity that plenty of their previous songs had.

Today it reached the Top 40 on Mediabase Alternative:

I like their new album quite a bit. There's many tracks that I see doing very well on Hot AC or Pop, but sadly nothing that I can see reaching a decent position on the Alternative chart. I agree with "Real World" as their next single. That one probably stuck out to me more than any of the others.

it seems likely to debut on Modern Rock next week! Their first song to enter the chart in almost 6 years. It's blowing up on CHR. Right now it has a +550 bullet. It's #3 on iTunes Top 100 Songs. This position also corresponds to the song actual peak there.

s**t, I made a big mess on this board. :x lol dont worry about it, lots of people confuse them, and since Billboard owns R&R, the actual BB Modern Rock chart is right here: www.radioandrecords.com/Formats/Charts/Alt_Chart.aspand R&R updates it every Wednesday at noon EST

Odd that this song is steadily creeping up the top 40, while all of their previous singles (if I'm not mistaken) failed to reach top 40 status. Usually excessive CHR crossovers - coupled with singles released directly to CHR - signal the permanent ceasing of playing those artists on Alternative stations, but apparently not this time around. AAR have enough "street cred" to keep chugging along.

No, "Swing, Swing" was a Top 10 hit and "The Last Song" went Top 30 I believe. But I think the first two singles from MA just barely scraped in.
I kind of wish "Move Along" could've switched its chart performance, though I don't see this getting Top 30.

Yes it did. "My Dirlty Little Secret" was Top 50 as well. The song was actually "Move Along." Shortly after "Dirty Little Secret" began its run on the Pop chart. *Ahem* Mediabase Alternative peaks, once and for all: Swing, Swing: #8 The Last Song: #32 Move Along: #48 Dirty Little Secret: - DID NOT CHART

weird ow BB Modern Rock had The Last Song at #29 then :o Usually pop punk does better on Mediabase by a few positions, while Billboard/R&R have Active-leaning songs do better

Maybe I'd seen that one, too. I was just going by subconscious memory. I probably had mixed up "DLS"-'s supposed run with "MA" as its been confirmed. LOL, at one point the discussion ended and with jdmasta289's post it has been in the last few posts.

It was #1 on iTunes for a little while, for one update (until a new Kelly Clarkson song, released to iTunes yesterday, took over). Last week this made a big jump to top 10 on Hot 100 (it was #18 the week before), and outpeaked "Move Along (#15 peak)... It's exploding in Hot AC and CHR! In CHR, It has been with a bullet around +1000 for one week by now... It's already top 20 there. This week it will probably reach #6 on Hot 100, outpeaking "It Ends Tonight" (#8 peak) and Dirty Little Secret (#9 peak). That means it will become their biggest hit on that chart. I believe this may end being their biggest single to date. I just can't believe this wasn't debuted on Modern Rock considering it has been top 40 on Mediabase Alternative for two weeks... I start to think that it really won't chart there! :(

probably wont, remember a big reason why its top 40 is that the Honolulu station plays it to death, and that station is more of a AAA/Hot AC station than an Alternative one, I dont even know why its considered alternative

Well to be honest the only reason this isn't blowing up on Alt is because of the band who sings it. They have too much of a pop reputation now, and yes this is a poppy song, but it also sounds like something Alt should be eating up. It's certainly a lot more Alt friendly than say something like GBS from Nickelback which went top ten at Alt.
