Choose 5 of your favorite hit songs from the 2000s from the list above. I am sure many, many huge hits are left off, so I will make another poll (a part 2) later on. I tried to pick a good variety.

Some of the songs on here have no point in being on here.
Songs like Clocks, How You Remind Me, Hanging By a Moment, Not Ready to Make Nice, You'll Think of Me, Hips Don't Lie, Where is the Love?, etc belong on this list.
Peaks don't mean anything for success and many of the songs on here were outpeaked by other songs that were more well known songs.

If you take such issue with the options, then why not just don't vote. ??? It is impossible to list every hit that people want included in a poll. You can't make everyone happy. As far as "peaks don't mean anything for success" uh............yeah, they do. The only way you can tell how successful a song is, is by where it peaked on various charts and rankings. Don't worry the next addition of this poll I will make sure and put "real hits" on them. K?

Peaks don't always make a song a bigger hit. To say Gimme More was a biggest hit than Oops I Did Again or Toxic would be foolish. You also have Here Without You which was a much bigger hit than Kryptonite even though it peaked lower.

You're turning this into a completely different conversation. I never said peaks determine which song is the "most successful", I said peaks determine a songs success period. Gimme More was not as big as Baby One More Time in any way, but it was a hit. All of the songs listed above were hits, in fact. Unless a song has to be #1 on Billboard for 10 weeks for you to consider it a hit, then I guess they wouldn't be. They may not have been each artists biggest hit, but that is completely irrelevant to this poll. I don't see what the issue is here, seriously. ???

I like these random polls. The variety of songs clearly shows some of the musical personalities of the listeners here on Pulse, and also brings back some memories of great Pop music. Its better and more creative than the horde of new diva polls everyday, no offense. I salute you bro.

I picked four: -"Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of," which I absolutely adore and was happy to see as the U2 selection included. -"Ordinary People," which I still think will eventually be generally viewed as one of the best songs to emerge from this decade -"Feel Good, Inc." -"Mr. Brightside"

I do like the idea of the poll and it's variery, though I can't say with a straight face that "Gimme More" was a hit in any way, shape or form... It sold a lot of copies early thanks to Britney's huge fanbase (which gave it an artificially high Hot 100 position), but the fact of the matter is the song flopped at pop and every other radio format, managing a #17 peak at CHR in only it's 6th week on the chart.
