Its #17 on the Hot 100 now and the top gainer on Hot AC, but CHR is still pretending it doesn't exist.
But we also have to keep in mind that Avril has done ZERO promo thus far except for two short interviews on TRL and GMA this week.
But the peeps at CHR are acting like douches.

I doubt the label will promote this song. They want to save it all for her first single which is coming out at the end of January.

Mwahaha, Rock on DR. Luke!  I'd still like to see this song go top 20 Pop and be a huge AC smash though! Damn this song still hasn't been played outside the 9 o clock program. Sometimes it can take a week or even 2 if its not a popular artist (but its Avril so should be soon lol) Its got 6 defaut spins for being the champion for the past 3 days. Coming up again soon (Champion spin) so I'll be voting for it soon so it can get the winner spin. (Wonders who's gonna be the challangers since they wasted a crapload of new songs on MCR) |

Think she's getting in before Britney instead of going head to head lol..darn, next year is gonna be competitive - get in there Avi! Still the champions...beat out Jibbs /f Melody of PCD 'For A Moment' (think?) but not by much shockingly! :o Kinda makes me worried about this song if something like that song got close to it. Well actually I do kinda like that new Jibbs song with Melody haha..so maybe I can see that...still. My station needs to power rotate this song woot! |

Not too serious as in 'He Wasn't' or not too serious as in 'Complicated'? Well, I guess one mistake a fan will always make with artists is constantly comparing their work. I'll wait until I hear it.
Answer me this, Doctor,... is there anything as good as 'Nobody's Home'? That song was a record smashing #1 hit for me (17 weeks, blows the second place holder out of the water!).
Also, who else have you worked with in the past and are currenting going to be working with? |

I like "He Wasn't" but it's far from her best song.
I'm happy the first single will be a harder song!
That's what I was hoping for.
But I don't want a "He Wasn't" type song. Or a "Complicated", or anything else she's done. I want a new song.
And I found "Nobody's Home" quite boring haha.

I doubt your gonna hear anymore teeny heartbreak songs from her anymore (like Complicated, He Wasn't, My Happy Ending) That era and part of her life is over now. I could see a buncha uptempo songs and songs similar to Keep Holding on, but massive heartbreak songs wouldn't fit her in this era, and since she writes most of her stuff,wouldn't make sense either being happily married.
These massively successul girl against love / heart break songs are successful cuz its exactly what the artist emotion represented in that era. Avril, Kelly, Mariah, Jojo were all single - most coming off the heartbreak when their representive songs became smashes. Why is that you ask besides ALL being tremendous singers? CUZ IT WAS REAL. Sorry but I for one would have a problem with a singer who would continue to make heart break songs that are happily married.
So after all that blabbling I guess the bottom line is NO, I wouldn't want her new singles to be like her past girl against love songs or whatever u wanna call em.
