Haha, I WAS being sarcastic. I love P!nk, but U + Ur Hand is one of her worst songs, IMO. And "Girlfriend" is just a joke. Not to mention, a song for which Toni Basil has probably sued citing plagiarism or copyright infringement.

New news to me, I'm pretty sure after their max spins and positions they dropped like rocks within a week, especially SAB. Never Again has been staying stable in positions and spins for 3 weeks now, yes it had a big drop 3½ to 4 weeks ago, but that was expected..just wasn't expected for it to KEEP dropping...but the spins were keeping stable.

Its too early to call this a bomb. Even if its max position was #21 (doubtful) its not gonna do a -1000 spin plunge, therefore it would have more longevity than any of those other flops that you claim this song is worse. Hell in probably 2 weeks even if this continues to drop it will have more spins than SAB or SS collected in its entire damn chart run on pop lol.

Go ahead and look up the chart runs, WITH the spin numbers of that week and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about man. NA isn't the biggest bomb of an opening established female artist, simple as that - your just plain wrong.

exactly right! at some point Kelly had to have a less than stellar song.... otherwise people would be complaining that all her songs are bought and paid for by the label. I mean even after the initial surge people said "oh the check must've cleared"

I guess I'm just not sure why mediabase is the sole source of whether a song is deemed a hit or not. I mean R&R still has this in a plus spin position and she moved up 2 spots....she was I think #21 on Rick Dees AT40 countdown this week... she's still at #5 on itunes (out of 100 songs so to say that's not that impressive is laughable).... her video is doing very well on both VH1 and TRL countdowns.... MANY people are reporting that they hear the song all the time on the radio...so perhaps the limited stations that mediabase uses aren't increasing spins but the overall spins are remaining steady as evidenced by dicky's charts which clearly shows a spin increase....

This song isn't over just yet....but when and if it is I'll be fine with it...cuz that just means that Kelly has something to fight for....she's said she doesn't like things to come to easily to her....she'd rather work hard for her success....

That's cuz people calling it a 'bomb' are ignorant, till it ACTUALLY starts going severally down in position and spins - its not a bomb...kinda simple! Its maintained 2.5k - 3.5k spins since the end of its debut week till now. I don't see alot of bombs do that..

I'm glad another Kelly fan , a big one at that said this lol. I love Kelly's music to death and fully support her singles but One Minute, especially after Never Again won't do that great. Its Yeah material to me...I didn't like it much but of course we can't completely judge till hearing the CD studio quality..still 'Sober' seems like a surefire hit to me and would match RCA's formula of release patterns perfectly. E.G. upbeat first --> slow/ballad second

I heard one minute live at daytona and while I like the song well enough I'm not sure it's "single" material. Unless they do something different with it in the studio. I hope they release sober, just based on what I've heard about it.

that said I don't think NA is complete ready to be written off altogether. It's still holding steady on Pop and it's got a + bullet on Hot AC still so while the song is gasping for life on pop it could see a resurge if it really takes on on Hot AC and/or after the Idol performance.

Well it is lol, she's been position 23-21 for 3 weeks now since the bullet collapsed, that's holding.

Could someone be a kind enough soul to post the final update for the week on mediabase (currently what it shows now) Position numbers 15 through 30 to illustrate what I mean. That OR give possible advice on why I haven't been able to see the charts since I've come back on vacation.

Last I looked the future cast of this song looked like it could keep its position for quite some time unless it ACTUALLY starts bombing (-600 to -1000s). IIRC there was about 4-5 songs falling that were near her spin rate weekly and only 1 song that looks to be an immediate threat.

Anyway, at the point I'd rather be the fool who never gave up on this song and was wrong if it bombs than someone who would say they knew it wasn't a flop afterall if it goes on a comeback and be lieing ;)

Thanks Focus! Well another week another stable position. She will be #21 probably by Tuesday but then looks like FOB will pass her, putting her back at #22 yet again, then hopefully by then if she's going to go on a comeback of some kind she needs to stay ahead of Elliot and Fergie to not lose position by next week. Fergie is kinda away in spins so she will have time to recover if she is going to and still stay ahead.

Could still happen, its decling really really slowly.

I'm pretty sure both Wind It Up and Deja Vu actually did much better then this song, at least in terms of weeks on the chart and both reached top 5 right?. This song's run was really, really quick. People keep referencing these two songs as flops but come on, they were still hits in some respect. Never Again also did something on the charts.

'Never Again' is also #7 on Billboard's Hot Digital Song chart, and it's moving up steadily on Mediabase's Hot AC chart.

For those running around this board yapping about 'Never Again' being a "flop," just remember that Pop airplay is only one measure.

It is absolutely true this song is not Kelly's best work, nor is it a huge smash hit. But there's lots of room between huge smash and total flop. 'Never Again' is somewhere in between. Peaked (so far) at #8 on Billboard's Hot 100, currently #7 on Hot Digital Songs, still sitting at #21-22 on Mediabase Pop airplay (putting it in the top 3% of 720 current songs on this chart). Digital sales are strong enough for it to be certified gold soon.

This song is exactly what that purportedly leaked RCA memo claims it is -- a mid-level hit. This may be disappointing only because of Kelly's prior massive success, but there are hundreds of artists who would love to have a song perform at this level.

this song has only had a small amount of promo, so im not writing it off yet, there is still the AI final on wednesday which if she performs it on there could give sales a huge boost.

we shouldnt need charts to say whether this is a success if it gives out the right message and if people can relate to it, then Kelly has done her job!
