Ok fine
it's time for radios to start playing something NEW from this album, even if not the new single, they should play at least 1 or 2 album tracks just for the sake of promoting

I mean, get Z100 and KIIS and send them 2 album tracks so that they can spin and let people know more of the new material cause if they stick to this of releasing MD with NEVER AGAIN being the main single they will see the album having a great 1st week and them drop down the charts on Toni Braxton style.

They dont have any other choice so they better just DO SOMETHING

I'm sure they will soon. Kelly is too big for them to just let flop like that. As disappointed as I am with how everything was dealt with NA, I'm still hopeful for the rest of the album.

NA is still strong on downloads but obviously done on radio so a 2nd single would definitely help. It'd be just in time to really make big 1st week sales for MD.

I am also sure that theres a song on the album that will be her Irreplaceable but the thing is that they can let that song come out after everything bad have happened. I mean, look at Pink, had her label released U + Ur Hand before, her album could have gone past 1million by now but they waited too long and didnt have much faith on it. When it became a hit it was too late to bring the album back to full life, so the same can happen to Kelly if they dont get reality to visit them and tell them to wake up and MOVE while the album hasnt been released yet.

Things have to be done BEFORE an album drops, after it does u cant do much to change so they are wasting time now by just watching NA flop and not doing anything to build up some good hype

Just so I can compare, does anyone know where these "flops" peaked on Mediabase: 'What You Waiting For' 'Don't Bother' 'Powerless' 'Trouble'?

I think WYWF & Trouble both peaked at #17 & Don't Bother got to about #23. Not sure about Powerless though. I'm rooting for Kelly to have a smash 2nd single and successful/quality album. Her AI performance of NA was flawless and forceful. A ballad would probably help her now.

Out of the Haunted and Can I Have a Kiss clips, I would say send Kiss, but I would hope they have something more for radio that those two.

I do think Kelly has had tons of promotion and was definitely given a shot at radio play, a lot more than a lot of artists ever get. If the label thought that was the best chance at a radio hit, and it didn't do nearly as well as everyone thought or hoped, why would they automatically rush to do it again with another song. That's a lot of upfront money that is continuing to go out with no guarantees at this point that it will pull in what they want. AT some point all artists get cut off. Not to say I think she won't get another, because she has always been given many chances at it, but maybe they just aren't going to move that fast. Letting her have 2 singles, videos, and tons of promos before the CD is even out -- that's just a little more than most get or can be justified at this point. If the CD comes out and does really well, I'm sure she'll get lots of push and financial support to radio again. If not, they may write it off and make her record what they wanted to start with.

I love this song, but I'm afraid that Kelly didn't really like any of the singles from the last album (SURELY she likes "Because of You", since she and Reba just recorded it for country).. but I'm worried.


After listening to the samples off the new album, I'm worried that my beloved Kelly will never record a song as beautiful as "Because of You" again.


Anyway, this is all premature... I can't wait to buy her album! As much as I love this song though, I hope there is a beautiful ballad to balance the angry Kelly. I prefer angry Kelly of SUBG to angry Kelly of NA, lol And the best Kelly of all is beautiful ballad Kelly (Because of You).

'Maneater' and 'Sorry' were HUGE international singles, and IMO excellent songs. I think it's funny how many people are worrying about Kelly's CAREER when we haven't even heard the album yet. This is one song guys. All artists have flops, and now it's Kelly's turn. There are millions of people out there who would love to have their "flops" hit near #20 on radio and #8 on the BBH100! I don't think we need to worry about Kelly unless her album sells like 10 copies lol, which will not happen. It's going to #1. Sure NA didn't do as well as well as many of us would have liked, but we have to move on and now focus on her next single (wherever and whenever it's coming out...) That's just going overboard. NA is not chorus-less and it doesn't show that Kelly's being disrespectful to her fans. I for one have been a fan of Kelly since "Thankful" and I love Never Again. I think it's a catchy and fun, edgy song for Kelly and I don't feel disrespected.
IMO, people weren't ready for a slight change and are going crazy because she didn't provide another SUBG hybrid.

I completely disagree with this post. Kelly is a MONEYMAKER for RCA....radio airplay isn't how labels make their money, it's through CD sales and downloads...Kelly's last album sold over 12 MILLION worldwide and NA is still getting pretty damn impressive download sales, as is her video.
