Kelly Clarkson 'Never Again' (Now on iTunes!)

Well, not a hater here, but it's pretty interesting how a couple of months ago some people were mocking at other artists' lack of success or medium success (Xtina, Carrie, Pink), stating that the real 'Queen' was about to come back and have the greatest success of all female acts... lack of modesty for some, arrogancy or just taking all for granted in terms of radio. Now it's back to say that "it's not the end, it's good for her not to have commercial success, but stay on her own or take musical risks, she will survive with her fans". I'm sure if it had happened to other artists,some Kelly fans would be rubbing at their faces!! Anyway, I still wish her good luck and that she can recover from this backlash. She deserves as well as many other female artists that decided to take some risks with good but not very radio-friendly songs, and musically grow. It would be good to always keep a good atittude and be more understanding to others' disgrace because no one knows when bad fortune will come to one's favorite artist...

yes, unfortunately, there were a few kelly fans who seemed to delight in mocking other artist's medium "success" and then gloat about kelly's return. it is ironic that the artists they bashed turned around and surpassed kelly's chart run; karma anyone? but i think kelly fans have endured quite alot now too with NA's so-so performance.

Yeah, it's sad to see that happen - although I can't imagine what lack of success or medium success there was for Carrie? All of her songs went to #1 and her cd has sold incredibly well from day 1.

I love P!NK and while not a big fan, persay, of Xtina, I've loved the s**t out of her last 2 cd's and own both of them. I definitely think that Who Knew and Candyman deserved better radio showings than they got.

Kelly once said "There's room for everyone" in reference to the charts and competition. That's a motto to live by for sure - one person's success does not take away from, or diminish, another person's success. No matter how many cd's Carrie, Daughtry - or even P!NK, Avril or Xtina - sell, Kelly still sold over 5.8M (and counting) cd's in the U.S. alone and over 11M worldwide (and counting haha) of Breakaway. Nothing can take that away from her. So other successful artists? Bring 'em on ... there's room for everyone haha

Anywho - looks like #12 is going to be the peak for Never Again on HOT A/C, unless she gets her second wind (she has a negative bullet but it's a tiny, tiny negative). Not to bad - I would have liked for her to crack the top 10 but, hey, she only missed it by a couple hundred spins heh.

I'm still hoping we'll see the second single appear on radio the second week of June, with an official release to radio date possible on the day the cd drops.

I hear it's between One Minute and Haunted. I'll be happy with either of those - One Minute will definitely be more back to the POP/Rock roots of the songs from Breakaway that were so popular but Haunted ... Haunted so owns me right now (and thinking about hearing the full thing, including the bridge, makes me squeeee just a little bit haha)

Its funny because I never, ever thought of Kelly fans as immature. Everyone is saying "all kelly fans were THROWING IT IN OUR FACES!" but as a fan of many artists and seeing many fanwars, I thought the Kelly base was remarkably uninvolved and not petty (sans maybe 1-2 people).
I sincerely hope that I just missed the hoards of Kelly fans bashing other artists rather than the entire fanbase being judged for those 1-2 vocal Kelfans.


Anyways, this is definitely not going to end her career. The right song and boom, she will be top 3 on at least two formats again. However, I am starting to worry that she will not have any of the "right songs" on the new cd. We will see.

If certian Kelly Fans hadn't spent the last several years trolling all over the internet, perhaps people would have more sympathy. Most of the Posters in this thread are not fans of that Artist you hate so much. Some people have pissed off a lot of Fan Bases. I think everyone denying their history needs to spend a bit more time reflecting their own actions. JMO

It just seems, to me, that any Artist who was percieved as a threat to Queen Kelly was visciouly attacked by certian people. The truth is that any Artist will have successes and failures at some point in their careers....life goes on....it is not a reflection on their talent nor their Artistry.

I think we can all agree on the fact that Clive needs to retire. But, you know, Kelly is not the only one who fought with him...she has just been more public about it. I think there are rough waters ahead, because Clive does not appear to be the type to roll over and play dead. He has far more resources in the battle than any one Artist does.
