I like it alot. It is catchy, upbeat, yet has a little edge to it. Great way to lead off the album.

From Under The Radar, in the single thread....
Pop...
-- 55 CLARKSON, KELLY My Life Would Suck Without You RCA/RMG 149 0 149
This is on the Daily Updates.
Hot AC
Current Days also lists this at #48 on Hot AC, with 60 spins. Mediabase has to go back and put in the morning spins (it's only been tracking the song since 12 Noon), so expect some really good numbers in the morning.

I love Kelly and think the song is catchy. Hopefully it will top the charts. I can't escape its similarity to Since U Been Gone - but if this signals an era of significant Kelly success, I'm all for it.

This song is really great. I can't wait to see it hit #1! It won't be that long, I promise, on behalf of us Kelly Clarkson stans.

I think that LA times blog says a lot, and a lot that I don't like. I do still get the feeling this whole album is not really what Kelly wants, and especially not MLWS. The song is like a musicalized apology to Clive and Dr. Luke. She didn't write, they did. Quite frankly, her vocals, while good, are nowhere near as passionate sounding as any of her other material, even Breakaway. And while some of the fans maybe gaga, I just don't see Clarkson, who idolizes Ray LaMontagne and who wrote lyric gems like Maybe and Irvine and Chivas, to be the kind of artist who would be the least bit enthused by the musicality of MLWS. I could see her being more interested in the Aranda and Ryan Tedder music though, so I'll continue to hold out hope.

I agree. To be honest not even Kelly's vocals are enough to get me to like the track, it's just too generic and same-y for me to like it. I feel like Luke just jacked the melody and sound of Who Knew for this track and I feel like this song is just another one in a long line of Luke productions, it doesn't sound unique to Kelly at all. It sounds like any of his "girls" could have this song and it be exactly the same as it is now. Not impressed. At all, which is sad because I really wanted to like it.

It doesn't sound anything like Who Knew at all.

It's at rickey.org as well. I like it, I hope it can be a number one- but even Pink's great song "So What" only lasted one week at Number one and that song was amazing- But I'd be happy with one week at number one- it's better than no weeks at number one.

I think NOBODY cares if she stays at #1 only for a week, what matters is that she gets it,I still can't believe she had no hot 100 #1 hits with Breakaway, but guess we'll get them this time around Another thing: I read people saying that the song sounds similar to HOT N COLD,WHO KNEW,SO WHAT,well, you all should remember that SINCE U BEEN GONE came first of all these songs and the new single sound more like this than Pink or Katy's tracks,so no copycat of other singers,I'm sorry

Fallen in love with the track...I loved it when I first heard it, but since then I have become obsessed with it....is such a phenomenal track and may actually be a contender for my fave Kelly single of all time. Getting great reactions in the UK which is fantastic...fingers crossed she is heading to Number1!!

If Kelly didn't like it why would she say (before it was leaked) that she was soo excited for us to hear it along with her new stuff? I wish people would quit speaking for Kelly as if they know her. It's fine if someone doesn't like the song but when people say things like "she isn't being true to herself", "she probably doesn't like/want this" it gets a little ridiculous. We have NO idea what she personally likes/wants. All we have to go on is what she says and since she is excited about this song that should give us a clue. ;) *not you personally Khrazy just everyone making these "claims" in general*.

I guess it's wishful thinking on my part. The only thing more horrible than Clive puppeting Kelly into this song would be Kelly eagerly saying "yeah, Clive, I'm so grateful for what you've done to me, so let's make a song about how much my life sucked after I decided to pick a fight with you. And then, to really knock in the message that I am no longer interested in writing my own music, why don't we name the album 'All I Ever Wanted'?" I want my Patty Griffin-loving, Independent, artistic Kelly back, not this Miley Cyrus junk.

I guess it's wishful thinking on my part. Probably. Yes, cause I am sure she recorded this song thinking it was about her relationship with Clive. lmao Something to note would be that Kelly has a big hand in picking which songs to record. It's not like Clive sits down and says "You have to record THIS song." No. It doesn't work like that, he just wanted/wants her to record (some) more commercial material so that they could make a profit. I am sure he would have no problem with her putting a few less commercial/artistic songs on the album. Yep, people who loved My December to death and enjoyed that more artistic/raw direction probably aren't going to like the direction for All I Ever Wanted or this song. I for one loved My December and her more commercial stuff (ala Breakaway). However I did prefer Breakaway over My December and am happy to see her going back in that general direction and I am sure the majority of the general population are too.

I guess, in the way that Hannah Montana is closer to Breakaway than My December. If you think this is about me not liking commercial music, you don't know me very well. I like fresh music, whether it be catchy and radio-friendly or not. This is stale as the bread in the back of my kitchen cabinet.
