Ya keeping my finger crossed that DD (and DD deluxe/DD 2.0/DD Minicollection - do I miss any more veresions?) would go GOLD. For in light of the bad economy now , a Gold album is equivalent to a Platinum in a good year.
Honestly - IMHO Hush Hush would just go the way of Jai Ho and even worse - its the logic of diminishing returns. which is made worse by the fact that it is a VERY generic-sounding ballad without the 'wow' element to a make it a genuine ear-worm.
They are just pushing too many singles in a short span of time without much of a breather for all involved - especially for the Dolls themselves. It seems that these poor Dolls are like rushing from one project to another (ie their own tours, opening acts for Britney and forever on tv/radios/whatever pushing all these new 'songs'). Really crazy!!! won't they get burnt out???

They really need to put out an uptempo single...I mean really between 'Whatcha Think About That,' 'I Hate This Part' and this song, we've had way too many slow songs... And who made the decision to not release "Painted Windows." It had someone other than Nicole...and it was uptempo, and it would help 2.0 sell, and it was a great radio song. If they wanted this to be a single...then they should release it after a fast song...

ok he's not riding their coattails but his song is doing as good as it is because of them. so in a way... Um...actually the PCD version has only sold a lot RECENTLY...but AR Rahman's original version was the one in the top 10 and the one that REALLY made #15 on the Hot 100 after it won at the Oscars...they just combined the original's sales with the PCD version, which didn't even make the top 50 at the time... PCD's version has only done well recently on iTunes...sorry guys. Totally wrong about that. the a.r. rahman version did well at first, but had almost no longevity. plus it really only did well on canada and us itunes. the remake is what's been in the top 5 on itunes all around the world, and has carried the song to number 11 on the united world chart. so yes, we thank a.r. for the hot 100 peak, but everything else goes to the remake. sorry /: and even if they release hush hush next, i'm very confident that they'll release painted windows at some point. how can they not? we just have to be patient for now.

'Whatcha Think About That' was a slow song as well... ??? Are we talking about the same song? WTAT is most definitely uptempo.

Messiest. Era. Eva.
Can anyone name an artist's era that was MESSIER than this DOLL DOMINATION. I can't. With 20 singles and 4 re-releases, the album STILL WONT GO GOLD.

Wtf.. how is this a single?
It was supposed to be Bottle POP!!!! This would be explosive.. its summertime, not cold depressing winter months anymore. Jeez..
How about Melody Thorton releases "Space" and Elevator!

Not the version in the video, the original version is a midtempo song...it's definately not a club banger like all of the songs on their first album, other than 'Stikwitu.' It drags.

LMAO- they don't know what they are doing. Too many DUMB releases. Go with Bottle Pop or Painted Windows or close out this era, tour some more and don't come back Doll (meaning Nicole as the others are just there for the product name- sad but true) until you can really DOMINATE as your album states. LOL Like someone said, at least When I Grow Up and I Hate This Part were two hits, but they missed the boat with the Jai Ho song!!!

This era has been a COMPLETE mess, should've been... 1.) When I Grow Up (Obviously would have performed the same) 2.) I Hate This Part (Would've went top 10 if it had been immediately released 2nd) 3.) Bottle Pop (I'd say another top 10, huge hit) 4.) Out Of This Club (Top 20) 5.) Takin' Over the World or Whatcha Think About That (They could afford a flop after having a string of hits)

I haven't heard the new version but the original is far too bland for radio.

Bottle Pop would be a flop regardless of how the era was handled, imo. It's far too repetitive and monotonous for radio, and the fact that it is one of their worst performing singles where it was released just shows it was not single material. I think Out of This Club would've flopped too. Here's how I wold have done it:
1. When I Grow Up (same performance) 2. I Hate This Part (would've performed on par with Stickwitu) 3. Elevator (would've performed on par with Buttons) 4. Hush Hush (would have done about what IHTP did for real) 5. Whatcha Think About That (not a big hit, but think it would've performed decently after 4 hits)

^Seriously. Maybe it could've done decently or well after having a bunch of hits, but comming off of a flop this is not a good choice.

Out of This Club already did decently without a release, gaining the most airplay for a non-single on the album, and I still think that Bottle Pop would do well if it was released now, but would have been huge if it was released 3rd. I believe BP is the song that could save the album at this point singles-wise.

There's no way 'Elevator' would have gotten the 9600-9800 spins Buttons had gotten.

I seriously don't think Elevator would perform that well, it's so overrated. PCD need to stay true to what they do best, which is uptempo's. The thing is they have so many choices but they insist on releasing the most boring songs on the album (WTAT, Hush Hush). Magic, Whatchamacalit, Bottle Pop and Painted Windows would do infitinely better than Hush Hush at this point.

If Bottle Pop flopped in their key markets, how was it going to do well in the U.S.?

Whatchamacallit is their worst song ever. I deleted the song within 20 minutes on my iPod after I heard it. Actually, I take that back. IN PERSON is their worst song ever. No, its PERHAPS PERHAPS PERHAPS. Damn, they have way too many on the CD.
Why do you guys still INSIST of releasing Whatcha Think About That as the 5th single after it flopped so bad? LMAO!
It should have went like this
1) When I Grow Up 2) I Hate This Part 3) Elevator or Magic 4) Bottle Pop 5) Out Of This Club

I like 'Elevator', but it's not that good. It gets old easily, in my opinion. But I hope they get a decent hit out of this song...

They just need to release Bottle Pop in the US and after that Elevator or Magic. Then they could release Painted Windows in the summer!

Whatcha Think About That and Bottle Pop both have videos filmed and promo singles released, but at the last minute they are cancelled. I heard a rumor that Takin Over The World had a video filmed as well. Is this true?? OMG! Messy, messy, messy!

Whatcha Think About That wasn't cancelled...they did end up releasing it and sending it to radio...they also sent the video to tv stations...it flopped so badly that they started calling it a 'promotional single.' By the way, in the US, a 'promotional single' only exitsts after the song flops...we never really release actual promotional singles like Japan and the UK. Bottle Pop was cancelled though... and Jai Ho flopped...

If "Bottle Pop" is the best song that Britney never recorded, then "Hush Hush" is the best song that Wild Orchid never recorded. Seriously, I LOVE this track, but it sounds like something Fergie turned down 6 years ago.
Remixing "Hush Hush" for a club-play single would be fine, but the label should be putting all their money and weight behind "Bottle Pop" which is the most radio friendly track that PCD have ever done.
