Randy hesitates and speaks on how "confused" Adam seems and how he can't play all these characters (Gaga, Darkness, Muse, Pink etc). This is hardly surprising. I've heard this complaint from posters here. It also seems to be the critics main quibble with Lambert's debut despite how much most of them enjoyed it. Personally, I enjoy all the styles Lambert displays on FYE but I can see how one can view him as "confused" based on the number of collaborators he works with on his debut. Don't get me wrong, the album is very strong. But I can see how one might prefer he stick with one or two of these styles for his next effort instead of throwing everything into the kitchen sink and hoping something sticks.

I like FYE precisely because it IS versatile, and not samey-samey. Yes, Carrie Underwood has had lots of success, and I'm a huge fan, but all three of her albums are interchangeable and highly formulaic. In fact, her last album was critically panned for that very reason. I'm GLAD Adam doesn't do that. I'm glad he changes it up and gives something for everybody.

^ Me too and I also believe the album works well together primarily because Adam's voice serves as a unifier. Plus, it's easy to see he enjoys all these styles. They are all Adam. But I think some people who like Adam may not like some of the album because it's not something they would ordinarily listen to. That's understandable considering he's worked with everyone from Justin Hawkins to Ryan Tedder to GaGa to Weezer. I doubt there's a huge overlap between the folks who like these artists outside of hardcore music fans like many here at PMB. So it's easy to understand how some people might like only certain tracks on FYE but have little interest in others and, ultimately, conclude Adam is "confused" (musically, of course ). Perhaps this is what Randy means. I'm sure he enjoys the album but probably wants Adam to focus more on one or two sounds.

If Adam were to choose just one direction to go in, I think I'd pick the electro pop route. He does that very, very well

Randy just needs to shut up, he brings a few valid points but he sounds like a biased fool in the process.

Kris Allen did the national anthem at the Championship NFL game today. Do you think Adam will be doing the superbowl? I wonder.

No, that's a Fox/19 arrangement and the Super Bowl is being shown on CBS this year.

Here's some more red carpet footage from the SAG Awards. Adam doesn't talk, but it's an interesting look at how the red carpets actually are. I think I'd be scared sh*tless if I was a celeb on a red carpet!

What I love the most about FYE is that it IS versatile. It is pop but there's many different styles too.

^ It's awesome to see singers and actors rub shoulders at these events. I'd never imagine seeing these two in the same picture.

Ohmigod he's hot.
Seriously, I can't think of another male pop artist that's done such high fashion photoshoots so early. He could most definitely have a side career doing stuff like this. He's a natural.

Yeah his legs are that thin. He's been on a diet since the end of the Idol tour.
Here's another interview Adam did. There was SO much going on today. I'll try to post all the interviews and stuff, but there was a LOT.
Here he is on ET Canada:
Here's Adam's whole Much on Demand Appearance:
WOW his fans are loud, loud, louuuudddddddddd. Holy crap.
ETA-Here's another radio interview with Virgin Radio.

Seeing Strut performed live like that makes me kind of wish it'd be a single. He just KILLED it!
Here's an adorable interview with Adam and Cojo on the SAG Awards Red Carpet where Cojo says he's passing the fashion baton to Adam because of his Grammy Red Carpet gig. It's ADORABLE. Please watch!
If you can handle any more Adam interviews, here's another one he did in Toronto yesterday:

HITS:
34 20 ADAM LAMBERT 19/RCA/RMG 20,860 +61% FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT
On the plus side, returns to the top 20 and has the biggest increase in the top 50 but I kind of expected sales to be a tad higher after seeing how much he rose on amazon.com and iTunes. However, Susan Boyle was only up by 1% in sales this week and she was also on Oprah so Adam benefited the most.

I agree with Randy. I think Adam did try too many styles. I think what works best for him is the pop/rock route. You can't blame the guy for having an opinion opposite yours. As for the tweet, I'm sure he would do that to any idol contestant. LOL! Yeah, Randy's not dumb.

I didn't watch the show but I read that she came off maybe a little weird. I remember when James Blunt performed "Beautiful." He leaped into the top 10 with about a 300% increase. I guess the show doesn't bump up sales like it used to.

Susan was just 15 minutes of the show; Adam was the rest. Plus, when you're selling as much as Susan already is, Oprah won't make as much of a difference. In other words, Susan didn't need the exposure to sell.

Here's some new photoshoot pics from VMAN Magazine. He looks amazing! I can't wait to see the Flaunt pics! Here's a really great quality, 1080p HD streaming video video of Adam's "Strut" performance on Ellen. I loved it! He was so fun!

Leading the increases for the week is 19/RCA/RMG Idol alum Adam Lambert, whose debut, For Your Entertainment, soared #34-20, +61% thanks to the Oprah Effect.
