Sober, from last night: Watch her eyes in this. She really puts herself completely in these songs. As impressive as Kelly was from the beginning, imagine if you were just dropped here from 2002 into one of the shows on this fall's tour and could see everything she can do now. AWESOME!!! That's one of my favorite things about Kelly, she appears to completely immerse herself into the performance. Watch this one. It reminds me of when she sang "Without You" on AI, in the red dress. When she finished that song her eyes blinked and it looked like she came out of a trance. Same thing with this performance of That I Would be Good/Use Somebody. When she finished the Use Somebody part and goes back to the Alanis part, she hesitates and her eyes flutter and she comes out of her trance and starts singing That I Would Be Good. It's mesmerizing.

KISS-FM in Chicago is live-streaming her show there right now. Her voice sounds really, really rough. www.kiss1035.com/main.htmlETA: The live stream crapped out during MLWSWY, the second song up.

Didn't sound rough, just tired.
Kelly mentioned in interview that new album in fall of 2010, but with Kelly talking about a summer tour i bet it will again get pushed to early 2011.

I wonder what kind of album she'd put out next year? That seems awfully quick

If she were to release it in November, let's say, it would be about the same time period between MD and AIEW. It just seems sooner, for obvious reasons.

Express had the interview here www.sendspace.com/file/l7sx4nShe's coy but seems to suggest that there may be a lot of stuff by other writers on the next record (although she also talked about writing stuff for other people and then not wanting to give it away) and it could be very different. Of course, we remember the reports & leaks that AIEW was supposed to be a bluesy-country album, so who knows what the next record will be like when it's finished. They asked about collaborating with another Idol, she still seemed only vaguely familiar with Adam, but picked Ruben. Gee, you think Ruben would be available? (Poor Ruben, back in the 70s/early 80s he would have been such a huge star as a soul crooner). Focus - I also like the raspy sound on some songs, but it's not good news when that's the only sound she can make. Hope she's able to get through tomorrow's show OK and bounce back after that.

ps...in week 33 MD sold 1.600 (750.000) and AG is expected to sell the same as last week 5.800 (734.000)... umm 16.000 copies diff...pff give it 3 weeks +/- and she will be FINALLLY! outselling MD...and by the time it reached 750...it will be about 80.000 copies away from beating the final sales of MD give or take

Ruben's her choice as an AI alumni duet partner. Great choice. He's my favorite male ever on that show. LOVE HIM! I hope for Kelly that she FOR ONCE will get to experience Black Friday sales with the 2010 Fall album. 1. Kelly 2. Ruben 3. Clay 4. Fantasia 5. Carrie 6. Taylor Hicks 7. Kat McPhee 8, Chris Daughtry 9. Jordin Sparks 10. David Cook 11. Chris Allen 12. Adam Of these 12 AI artists, only Kelly, Taylor Hicks and Kat McPhee have never had an album that was released just before Black Friday. IT'S TIME.

There's no way she won't pass MD's sales. Even though "AG" isn't really pushing sales up, it should be enough to hold them steady through the rest of the year which includes two of the biggest shopping weeks of the year.

She said she was already working on the new album and was reportedly working with Danja. So I'm thinking this album may be Electro or more R & B. Always fun to speculate.

Danja also produced "Sober" for P!nk, so if she is actually working with him then it doesn't really guarantee a specific sound.
I can't complain about another album coming out next year. Keep 'em coming, Kelly! A Q4 release would be perfect.

Here's Already Gone from the Coke thing.. I think she sounds great. She's messes up one note (not even a high one) and the rest of the song sounds great to me.

Omg. New Kelly already being talked about? Very happy. Very happy indeed.
More Ryan Tedder please. TOMT, AG, SY, and IICHY are my favourites, they can do no wrong!

She does sound tired, but I thought she pulled them off pretty well, minus that AG note. What producers are on everyone's wish list for album 5? I want Max Martin (preferably no Dr. Luke) and I'd love for her to work with Ben Moody again.

I think she sounds fine in both of those performances. She flubbed one note in AG... And MLWSWY was like a two steps lower than the original, so I don't get how she would be able to strain on any of the "high" notes lol.

I know, a lot of people didn't like the production of MD, but I loved it. Kelly's voice sounded like Kelly on every song on that album, and I applaud David for that. Same with Because of You and Addicted for Ben.

I want her to work with some new producers. There will most likely be the obligatory Dr. Luke/Max Martin track -- but other than that I'm ready for her to expand her horizons a bit.

Max and Luke, Ryan Tedder, Sam Watters, Claude Kelly, the usual.
I'd LOVE to see a track by RedOne, Just to see how Kelly would sound singing a bit of synth/dance pop. And Tricky too, give Kelly the next "Umbrella".
The last two I know will never happen, they're my fantasy producers.

Kelly mentioned in interview that new album in fall of 2010 Good. Can't wait for this era to be over. Hopefully next album she'll push herself and her label like she did for Breakaway and MD. She needs to work with Glen Ballard.

Max Martin Toby Gadd Danja Ben Moody- Although he is working on We Are The Fallen so not sure if he 'd have time. Whoever did TDWFA Sam Watters and someone else? Timbaland
I really hope its different like she says it will be.

Ruben's her choice as an AI alumni duet partner. Great choice. He's my favorite male ever on that show. LOVE HIM! Adam Of these 12 AI artists, only Kelly, Taylor Hicks and Kat McPhee have never had an album that was released just before Black Friday. IT'S TIME. Perhaps but on the flip side of those 12, Kelly is the only one who performed on Idol, Oprah and SNL (just to name a few on the week of her release). If I'm an artist and I had the choice of releasing an album the week of black Friday (which is crowded and it does not guarantee that you are going to sell well, there are many artists who don't move huge numbers during black Friday). Or, a choice of being featured on the three biggest shows on tv, talent show (that's idol) variety/comedy (that's SNL), and talk show (that's Oprah). Sorry but Kelly's opening week promotion trumps any black Friday any time in my book. Many artist would kill to get on those shows anytime but to get all three the week you release an album? I doesn't get any better then that. No way she'd have moved more copies without idol, oprah and SNL even if she'd released on November 23....she would have sold less, IMO. Just judging how everything has performed with her current era since opening week

The bad thing about AIEW first week sales is that it leaked A MONTH before the release date. It would've done a lot better if it hadn't leaked. Let's hope it doesn't happen again.

YES! New album already?
Focus, I liked David Kahne's work too on MD. Her voice was great. However, I think the problem I had the most with was some of the instruments in the background. Had those been polished a bit more, it would've been great.

Yeah, but it didn't help her sell a barnbuster amount of records either. She just really, really needs to do a fall release, IMO. Might as well.
