Take this for what it is. This was found on some message board and someone posted this on one of Monica's Sites
According to Monica... J Records is happy with Monica new single "U Should've Known Better" becoming a hit single... and her rising albulm sales put Monica's latest disc "After The Storm" nearly at the 1 million mark, the label will follow her lastest single with a 4th single nothing is set yet, but it will most likely be another ballad "Breaks My Heart" whatever happens she will release it in August.
I'm really happy is this is true.

I don't know why things like that are always in such broken English.
If she does release another single, which I can only see as conceivable because the label wants to push sales to 1,000,000 then "Breaks My Heart" probably is a bad choice; yes, "U Should've Known" is a rather slow song but it's not poppy like that. I still say "Go To Bed Mad" which has clever lyrics, nice performances, it's a duet, would have a bit added star power with Tyrese, would fair well at Urban, don't see many duets these days... etc.
Albums don't usually have such lengthy runs as this one would have if there is a 4th single, not these days. "After the Storm" is out lasting Mya's "Mood Ring" and Ashanti's "Chapter II". I know Monica was never behind Mya in sales, but where did Ashanti end up?
SPEAKING OF Which: The album was at #176 on the Billboard 200 this week, the highest it's been since it fell off a few months ago and then re-entered 4 weeks ago. It's up to #36 on the R&B Albums chart. I would guess #176, in a week like this with low sales, was 6,000-7,000. The album should be nearing 830,000.

not counting "Makeup 2 Breakup" are we? No, because the original version that was featured on the album wasn't released. It received nearly all of its airplay before "Rain On Me" was released as single #2.

This may be done at Urban, the bullets are still wacky from the holidays, so I actually think it may move back up again. It is doing just as well at Rhythmic as it ever has though, and has actually moved up to #30.
Monica has two appearances!

Congrats to Monica on a new peak-- the single bullets to #8 from #9 on the Billboard R&B chart, a very nice showing. On the Hot 100 she has a steady bullet at #24, thanks to Diana deCrappo.
The current Mediabase bullets show that at Urban Monica, like almost everything else in the upper reaches of the chart, is losing spins and audience, although she is still at #3. She is back to a small gain at Urban A/C and still above +100 spins at Rhythmic. Total Mediabase audience change is slightly positive, less than 1 million. She may or may not end up with a bullet for next week's Billboard charts. If the song doesn't pick up more at Rhythmic, or turn around some again at Urban, #8/#24 may be this songs peaks, which is still very worthy. Congrats, Mo'!

Monica's held at #3 at Urban despite losses averaging about -300, b/c everything else in the top 10 is also losing a lot except for "Lean Back"-- if she can turn the downward momentum around some, she'll actually have a strong chance at hitting #1. The song maintains those same slow and steady gains at Rhythmic that it's had for several weeks now, and the Urban AC audience is the highest it's been-- all this lead to it losing only about 2 million Mediabase audience, which means it's still much higher than it was 2 weeks ago. It will still be top 10 R&B and top 30 hot 100 this week, im pretty sure.

It actually is up to just over 58 million now, with a sunday-to-sunday bullet of 3.2 million :o it may even turn around at Urban, and it's firmly into the #30 spot at Rhythmic and gaining, as well as having it's stronger Urban AC bullet in weeks.

Can't wait to see Mo perform "U Should've Known Better" on Regis & Kelly tomorrow morning! I didn't get to watch it, how was she? ----- More news in the surprising/impressive history of this song. It's Urban bullet is back, +54 and less than 200 spins away from becoming #2. It's Rhythmic bullet is very good, +256 and leaping #26 from #30. And it moves #18 from #19 with a good +54 bullet at Urban AC. It looks like this may be another strong week for this song, and with two appearances in the past 3 days, we may see this song reach top 20 Hot 100 and top 5 R&B after all.

I wouldn't get too excited.... comparing this week to last week is like comparing apples to oranges, since last week contained the holiday weekend and a lot of non-regular programming, so of course all the songs will have a big surge now that it's back to business as usual.

Naw, I'm excited because as late as Saturday evening the song was headed down-- it's turned around. And the #1 and #2 songs at Urban are still dropping.

+222 Urban, less than 100 spins away from moving up to #2 from #3
+282 Rhythmic, up to #26 from #31 and currently slugging it out with her boyfriend Young Buck!
Total audience is at 62.484, up from 52.8 (and 52.519 two weeks ago) whooooaaa. If this holds up at all, and it should, she'll have a big bullet on next week's Billboard charts.

#23 this week on Billboard. Hopefully this will go Top 20. For a fourth single, I would go with "Don't Gotta Go Home", this is the only other song which could become a big hit IMO.

Won't work, too many problems with DMX ----- Monica bullets to new peaks of #23 on the Hot 100 and #7 on the R&B chart! Niiiice! As for Mediabase, she is currently up in total audience from 54.736 to 63.05--- she is going to have a huge bullet on next week's Billboard, and if it holds up at all over the weekend, she will quite possibly be top 5 R&B/top20 hot 100, a true hit.

Monica's album is up to #40 R&B, #155 Hot 100, more than a year after it's release. The sales figures will push the album past 850,000 before the end of July, it looks like by the time all is said and done with this single, it will have added at least 150,000 sales to the album, which is great.
The Urban bullet is currently +300, and she is just 28 spins behind #2 and 101 spins behind #1, and those two songs are gaining +125 and +20, respectively. If Monica maintains at least a +100 lead over both of them for the next week or so, she may hit #1 before "Lean Back" can catch her.
Meanwhile she's making her way through the 20's at Rhythmic, currently at #26 and in a position to move to as high as #23 within the next week.
Her Urban AC bullet is on and off, currently on and moving her up to #17 from #18. She has been between #19 and #16 for the past several weeks.
