I absolutely can't stand this song...this one and Giddy On Up are probably the 2 worst songs out there IMO, with Jewel's song not too far behind...

i love this song and i cant believe that this is coming from country format.i do agree that it has the pop sound in it.
i used to listen some of the evan and jaron songs.wow,i didnt realize this was jaron from the duo brothers.they were gone and cant find anything about them.
i thought this has no chance last few month where it moves slow in this format and seeing this on iTunes at 80 plus then drop off.glad that this now back up to 50 on iTunes and this is moving up positively in this format.
i never really come to this country threads until i see this song.

my local stations refuses to play this song, and I'm so happy I don't have to hear it on the airwaves. I'm not trying to stir up any conflict, so whoever likes it I am glad they can find it likable. I can definitely see why it is clever and different and therefore moving up the charts, but I don't like the lyrics or the message and while some think it's funny, I don't. It goes against everything I believe in. I see this peaking in the 15-20 range, however.

Friggin' prudes. (Not you, jhomes, the people at your radio station). Actually, seems like radio's getting too prudish as a whole, some times.

Although that's surprising, it's a 'universal' type song... not strictly country. It's a song everyone can listen to, even the youngin's.

It's got a poppy hook, and may just experience Need You Now treatment without all the -huge- success. This looks to be going top 20 soon. Good for him! Even without the "prudes" supporting him, this deserves success.

Haven't been following the chart for a while, so I was surprised to see this already in the top 25. I like this very much. The juxtaposition of the gospely arrangement and the blithe vocals with the malicious lyric really is a nice touch. Felt very tongue-in-cheek, which is rather refreshing.

On MAY 4, four new songs from Jaron And The Long Road To Love will be released to digital retailers: Interesting that these are just now hitting the street... Napster has had these downloads available for a month or so.

^Yeah, this song was really quick to crack the Hot 100. Most country songs don't break the pop charts until they're in the Top 20 or higher with the occasional exception. I think this song cracked the Hot 100 before it was even at #34 country. This is clearly a big hit in the making.

They weren't big though and didn't really have any hits, so I can't see that being the case.

It was a pop Top 10. They did pretty well, even if their subsequent singles didn't score as well. Yeah, I've never really followed the pop charts, but "Crazy For This Girl" seemed to get a 'crazy' amount of airplay on many of my local pop stations. It's been a while though ... I think that song peaked back in 2001 - or somewhere around that time period. Yeah they had "Crazy For This Girl" and "From My Head To My Heart" in 2000, and then I can't even remember them releasing another album. I doubt Evan and Jaron are the reason for this song's success. I have to say that I love this song - easily one of my favourite debut singles to come to country radio in the last few years. I'm glad to see that it's doing as well as it is.

Part of the reason for the quick hot 100 debut may be recognition from fans of Evan & Jaron... it was like 9 years back and it is kinda not making sense to say that their fans still remember them today and support him. i dont think they are big enough in the past to have jaron sell inside top 40 in iTunes with so little airplay in today's music industry.

"Need You Now" is the best-selling country song of the moment. i was referring to country format's big name artists who have big spins weekly in the chart. lady antebellum is already big after they have i run to you as #1. also, they manage to sustain this long in iTunes because the song is in pop airplay.so that isnt the same comparison. i am just trying to say that i am amaze to see how this perform with so little airplay on country format and jaron isnt a popular new artist in the industry.arent this song just play here in country format? this is now #27. let me ask this:where is chris young the man i want to be on iTunes?

I like his voice, just can't stand this song. It's that song I loved at first listen, purchased it, listened to it 3 more times and can't stand it now. I don't know what it is...

Friggin' prudes. (Not you, jhomes, the people at your radio station). Actually, seems like radio's getting too prudish as a whole, some times. Turns out it was only the morning show people who didn't like it (and me of course, I like it even less but that's ok we all have opinions), cuz now this song is among a small handful of songs that are in the highest rotation on my station 97.3 FM in Des Moines, IA. It's weird, cuz the station adds just about everything long before it hits top 40, regardless of any DJ opinions. The station is great with adding new songs, but this one was absent. I wasn't sad, but oh well. Then, about 4 weeks ago, suddenly it was getting played 9 times a day...it dropped down to 5 for a week, but for the last 1-2 weeks it's 9 times again. Btw, just as a comparison, the other songs in high rotation are Miranda's "The House That Built Me", Jerrod's "Lover, Lover", Lee Brice's "Love Like Crazy", ZBB with "Free", Rodney Atkins' "Farmer's Daughter", Blaine Larsen's "Chillin" and Trailer Choir's "Rollin Through the Sunshine. The first 4, along with Jaron, are understandable as they are bigger songs. We are a testing station for Blaine, and Rodney Atkins and TC will be in concert in Des Moines in late June, so they've been heavily promoting them. On a side note--Chris Young, Joe Nichols, Lady A, and Eric Church were all recently in high rotation but just the last 7-10 days or so got cut significantly. The stations does a pretty good job at knowing when a song's chart run is done... Anyway, I'm really wondering where Jaron will peak? Right now I'm thinking. The song is a surprise hit, I know 9513 said it would be lucky to chart (I gave it top 50), but it was able to sneak down a very narrow road in which a new act gives us something rare and unique, and appealing to many. While I might not be a fan, a lot of people are. Good spins and audience numbers, as well as digital numbers. But with the song spending 26 weeks on the chart, I don't think it will go top 5. Top 10, maybe...possibly in the 8-10 range...again, I expect it to hang around for a while, but 8-10 range at best is my prediction. But that's hard to say, I could be wrong

I gotta say that I'm quite surprised at how well this is doing. I never thought radio would play it, so I didn't expect it to make it much past the top 30. It's certainly a unique single ... i'll give it that much. My cousin loves it, and there seems to be a lot of country fans who think it's a hilarious song. Personally, I don't care for it, but it looks like this will be cruising into the top 10 before long... You basicaly echo my sentiments once again! lol. However, I don't know of any of my cousins liking it haha
