This is one of those songs that ten years or more from now you're all gonna look back and be like OMG I can't believe I liked this song ;) Doubt if we'll be hearing much from this guy anymore. Pretty weak stuff

I always liked this song, but this last week I got completly obsessed with it. I'm in love with it again. I had it almost forgotten for weeks.
Oh, and I like the album too.... It's not really country, that's true, but it's a nice album. The most country sounding song is probably Beat Back Love and that's what I think should be the second single. My next choice would be Petals Back On The Rose.

I think a radio remix of "That's Beautiful to Me" is the best bet for a follow-up single, and I could see it getting as high as Top 20. I agree "Beat Back Love" can be a hit single, but I would like it a little better as single 3.
As for the album, aside from this song and the two i mentioned above, the only other song I care for is "I Hope You Hit Traffic." The rest of the CD was really hard to listen to.

I bought the album and I am really enjoying it. I agree that some of it doesn't sound too country but I still like most of it and there are some nice melodies as well.

Hey — why doesn't Jaron release a 'country edit' of "Crazy For This Girl" as a single? If Train and Uncle Kracker can crossover with their songs, I think this could work just as well... (here's a link to the original pop hit: www.youtube.com/watch?v=cO_HkiSoQSA )

That song brings back memories! I don't know how it works but can he "re-release" it as a country song since he released it already several years ago?

Well, "Pray For You" might have peaked at country radio. Jaron moved up one spot to #13 last week, but Uncle Kracker got ahead of him still. And, Billy Currington and Lady Antebellum are well on their way to passing up Jaron this week. To make things worse for Jaron, he won't gain any spots from songs going recurrent--because there aren't any songs ahead of him (or behind, for that matter) that are set to go recurrent this week. The bottom could be falling out, as the song is down over 200k in audience through the first 5 days of the week. Weekend programming and the countdown shows might get some of that audience back, but it's hard to say. Jaron could easily lose his bullet. I suppose he could go recurrent even, but right now I'm gonna guess that he'll get a grace week. I don't expect him to keep climbing, however, as now Josh Turner is turning on the jets too and catching up...Perhaps, with some big name artists passing him up and the album now out, Jaron is ready to move on to single #2...

This song is okay but after you hear it a few times it loses it's novelty. It has been number one on my local stations Top 9 at 9 for a few days though.
As for the album......I was not impressed. The songwriting was weak, and not that it matters but it's nowhere near country. I was bored to tears throughout the whole disc.

This song went recurrent on the 7/24 Billboard. That's harsh treatment, leaving the chart after only a 150k audience loss. But that seems fitting somehow -- a song about gracelessness is denied a grace week. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Time for a new single.

BB had seemed to be pretty generous lately-- especially with Martina's WBW--but apparently they were "praying" for Jaron. As we all know, I don't like the song. However, I agree that pulling it was a bit harsh--BUT then again, it happens sometimes. Jaron has the album out, and in "Pray For You"'s case, the song was well over 30 weeks old... if it had stayed on, it would've fallen way behind Billy and Lady A, which doesn't make it logical to keep pushing, imo...I think the fact that it had been slowing down and really couldn't move up led radio stations to decrease its airplay, and BB followed suit by pulling it. I'll have to go give the sophomore single a listen soon...

I'll have to go give the sophomore single a listen soon... Isn't it the other way around? Radio stations decreased its airplay, and that made the song slow down on the chart. Your version requires stations to spend a lot more time looking at charts than I think they do. They played it less because -- well, why do they ever scale a song back? They thought their listeners were tired of it. Maybe the album's first week being in the past could have influenced BB's decision, but I'm guessing they knew that the song's promotion was largely done.
