Awesome, thanks so much for the videos Jeff... it's obvious that a Dallas Cowboys mention had to come up at some point... Queen Latifah is sooooo nice and complimentary of Carrie that I felt a lil bad that Carrie didn't really say anything back... I felt she was a bit too shy, but I think she is quite shy around other celebs, not really a hugger...

not a bad thing at all... I like ppl that aren't touchy and invade other ppl's space and I feel Carrie does that on purpose out of respect for others!!

“Do not look at me!” Carrie Underwood orders a small group of onlookers as she struts past. “What did I tell you? Don’t look at the artist!”

We’re backstage at Live with Regis and Kelly, watching Carrie do her best impression of a bitchy celebrity — the key word being impression. She’s actually joking around with guys in her band, who crack up as she walks by in a purple cocktail dress and a pair of strappy black heels that look like what Victoria Beckham would wear if she moonlighted as a dominatrix. And yet even in that outfit, Carrie looks totally approachable.

It’s a quality she was sort of born with. “An Oklahoma girl like me wouldn’t even know how to be a diva,” she explains. “I’m just a person who has a cool job. I love to be at home. I rarely go to clubs…and I always wear underwear! I just know I’d fall down, and that’s not for everyone to see.”

Once she’s onstage chatting, Regis surprises Carrie with a picture of her fiancé, pro hockey player Mike Fisher, and refers to him as her “good-looking brute.” Thing is, in addition to being one of the most down-to-earth celebs we’ve ever met, Carrie is also one of the most guarded…especially about her love life. She doesn’t lose her smile or sense of humor when she sees the photo — “Don’t know who that is,” she mutters — but when she’s asked about Mike, Carrie basically talks about nothing more than hockey.

Regis let her off way too easy.

Has Carrie been interested in doing other forms of music? I was watching the Grammys, and when I saw her perform, I thought her voice could fit another genre other than country. She's pretty powerful. I want to hear her sing an Aretha song. I know. This comment was quite random. lol But I was shocked.

That's why I want her to work with T-Pain so badly. I want her to branch out. She even nailed her part on that charity single Just Stand Up.

at Po Bice. Also, I would get over the auto-tune because it would encourage her to at last try out other styles.

^ Mike, she basically said she had turned down other scripts in the past because she was too busy, but when she heard about this story, she couldn't turn it down because it was so inspiring. She sounded really excited, and apparently, films next week. I can't recall what else she said. I am sure US Weekly and People will have it by tomorrow. lol


Annual Clive Davis People Mag Grammy Dream Team Picture:

Carrie Underwood surprises teen fan with phone call

I’ve been used — and I loved it!

Carrie Underwood and the CMA came up with a sweet way to announce that Carrie would be playing the CMA Music Fest this summer.

Turns out a Carrie super fan — 15-year-old Riley Ahlstrand of Brentwood — had e-mailed the CMA to ask if Carrie would be playing the CMA Music Fest. So Carrie called the teenager today and told her herself.

I was the go-between. I went down to Riley’s house to interview her about her love of country music and suddenly and mysteriously, my cell phone rang, and it was Carrie!

Young Riley got teary and a bit speechless, and it was all fantastic. (Check out the video in the video player in the upper right corner of this page.)

This all was made cooler by the fact that Carrie is in Miami doing tons of press and preps for her Super Bowl national anthem performance this weekend.

it's not as if she doesn't branch out. how many other country singers in the past 5 years have performed covers of non country songs at as many high profile events as Carrie?

theres so much more better artists out there for carrie in terms of doing collaboartions.

personally, i wanna see her collaborate with alicia keys. with guys, rob thomas, michael buble or justin - his collab with reba was very beautiful. if he can do something like that with carrie that would be awesome. if it really had to be rap, get someone like jayz or kanye. t-pain would do her no good - he needs carrie more than carrie needs him.

Vince Gill is producing LeAnn Rimes' next album -- covers of love songs originally sung by guys. I'm kinda jealous. I would have wanted Carrie to be the one doing that with Vince! :)
