It sounded great at the beginning but then it started to sound a little forced imo. It's like she tried too hard. Some parts sounded more like shouting than belting. I always agree with neally's "reviews" lol, but I have to disagree this time. But the last bad note wasn't that obvious to me, people started screaming before she finished.

I thought she did very well until the last note but it wasn't that bad really. It is odd about twitter though. She is getting 2 diametrically opposed reviews. One camp is saying she rocked it and they loved it. The other camp is saying she sucked. So which is true? lol

I think it took guts to do it live especially with that wind. Her hair was a mess because of the wind, so clearly, the wind was pretty strong. I felt bad for Queen Latifah too as she is a very good singer, honestly. But she was a bit off today. But at least she sang live too, like Carrie.

It's not a matter of being true or false. Some people liked it. Others didn't. Personally, it was probably my least favorite of her televised anthems. Miles better than what some of the industry would ever be able to do, though.

Carrie's performance is still receiving heaps of praise:

Carrie Underwood pretty much kicked of the Super Bowl as she sang the National Anthem with class. She really looked classy in wearing a white jumpsuit accented with silver chains and a silver belt. During her performance, the broadcast flashed some scenes of soldiers in Kabul, Afghanistan, standing at attention. There were fireworks at the song’s climax.

but he won't be able to do that since she is getting good reviews in the papers. lol She did very good actually, until the last note.

I just watched it again and she did better then I thought on the first viewing. She did very well except for that last shaky note. If it wasn't for that last note, she would be getting better comments on twitter I think.

I think the last note was cause of adrenalin! She was feeling it! Who cares if she missed it really. She rarely ever does...

OK, this is what I heard. I listened to it again and what I heard was some kind of double sound, echo, or whatever. It's almost as though she was singing 2 notes at the same time, a half-pitch apart. Did anyone else notice that? Listen again and listen closely. I don't think I'm going crazy and have pretty good pitch.

Ermm... wow. Reading the comments here before watching it, I thought it was a bad one. But seriously, LOL! That one last note was only slightly off but the crowd was cheering at the end as well, so I don't think anyone really cares much since the game was about to start.

She hit the right notes 99.87658% of the time anyway. No biggie for one off note, plus it's LIVE at the Super Bowl! It was still a great performance overall.

One thing for sure: the planes flying overhead helped block out that shaky note a little, and the only people that really noticed it are either her fans (because I for one worry too much about every little thing! lol) or her detractors.

It was a really strong performance overall. It just didn't blow me away like the rehearsal video did, but going live is so much harder I would imagine, with all those people watching.

EXACTLY! Others comments bring people down .Overall, she was praised but people wanna b***h about something,no matter what. I think she was great! Let's see those complaining do what she did...

I think people were too hard on Queen Latifah too. She was a little shaky from nerves I bet, but she was on key. She has a pretty tone to her voice. I thought she was fine.

She definitely wasn't on key at first, but you can see her take her earpiece out almost immediately, so she couldn't hear herself. I felt bad for her. She got better, but it was shaky.

It's funny how much people are obsessing about that one note. That wasn't the weakest part of the performance, for me, but watching it again, she definitely did fine. Kudos to her for singing live, and that's probably what people will remember.
