I think someone from Singapore mentioned on CF that Singapore TV isn't that up-to-date with the episodes yet.

Maybe the tweets actually came from people who just downloaded online?

I’m on a boat… with Carrie Underwood, Brooks & Dunn, Bryan Adams and more!

My gal Heather Byrd and I finally scored a ticket to Sony Music’s annual CRS celebration on The General Jackson, one of the most talked about events every year.

Country star Sara Evans kicked off festivities for a slew of out of town radio broadcasters. By nights end a list of “A-listers” took the stage including; Brad Paisley, Kellie Pickler, Carrie Underwood, Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert and Bryan Adams.

Kellie Pickler talked about how her grandparents upbringing made her a sucker for classic country before busting into Loretta Lynn’s, You Ain’t Woman Enough (To Take My Man).

Miranda was next on the bill. It wasn’t long before she introduced Carrie Underwood, “I have a hot friend that can sing and loves rock ‘n’ roll like me.” The two ladies seemed excited to sing the tune Travelin’ Man.

Carrie stayed on stage for her latest hit, Temporary Home. After her performance, Sony VP of National Promtion, Skip Bishop, presented Carrie with a plaque for 20 million digital transactions. The country cutie made a joke that there should be room for the huge plaque on her ceiling. She was also kind enough to let Skip try on her engagement ring, after pulling up her “self proclaimed hooker boots.”

A portion of the boat ride was spent on a touching dedication to Butch Waugh, who recently retired as Sony Music Nashville Executive Vice President. A montage of Butch’s work, which influenced the careers of countless artists and projects, played on the screens throughout the boat. Waugh was given a trip to Italy for his family as a token of appreciation.

The evening wrapped up with a surprise performance from Bryan Adams. He joined Brooks & Dunn on stage for Summer of 69. Bryan Adams and Brad Paisley coupled up for Cuts Like A Knife and Carrie Underwood joined Adams on stage for Its Only Love.

It was an honor to finally get a seat on the boat. I enjoyed walking back onto land with Bryan Adams by my side and getting a horn toot from Kix Brooks as he sped past us in his fabulous red Lamborghini.

Sadly, no photos were allowed during the performances but I hope to get some trade shots soon. These pics of Miranda being presented a gold plaque for Revolution and Carrie Underwood with a “20 million digital sales” award, were snapped on the boat Thursday night.

I’m a huge Paul fan. Huge. If I ever got to meet him I’d for sure lose my cool and start babbling on and on like an idiot peppering him with comments and questions that would ID me as a crazed fan in an instant. I loved this and that song! What did you mean when you wrote this line? What was it like writing and performing with John Lennon? Could you sing ‘Michelle’ for me right now so I could record it on my phone and show my wife? And on, and on…

A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to meet and spend time with Carrie Underwood as part of a project at work I’m involved with. I knew who she was- I’m not living under a rock- but I had never listened to a song by her, nor spent the last 30 years memorizing all her music, learning it on guitar and piano, and trying to imitate her voice and delivery style. For one reason at least… she wasn’t even born 30 years ago. To me- she was a famous singer that I knew little about and I was thrilled that she was part of our project. End of story.

So when I got to meet her, it was like meeting anyone else- simple and honest conversation. Where are you from? Tell me about your family. What’s going on in your life? What’s next for you? It was great getting to know her, learning she’s a neighbor (has a place right down the road from us in Leipers Fork and her main home is up the road a bit farther away), and sharing about our respective favorite music, people, places and food. Later in the week there was a party for the folks on the project and I even got to sit next to her and ended up harmonizing on a song when the party shifted from chit-chat to group sing when a couple guys got out guitars. It was Jason Mraz’s “I’m Yours.”

She is a lovely person, wonderful voice, great spirit- and now I’m a fan. Started listening to her music and it’s amazing. I’ve been missing out. But- If I get the chance to hang with her again, I’m afraid I might come off a bit different now. And of course I’ll want pictures with her and for her to sign my shirt with a sharpie.

I am so happy! Quitter is now a ringtone and ringback tone for Verizone Wireless. Maybe this is old news, but the last time I checked, they only had Cowboy Casanova, Temporary Home, and Change from Play On available as ringtones, etc.

I've always wanted that. But, I think all signs point towards Undo It or Songs Like This.

Which would both be good choices as well.

^ Don't worry; if Quitter does get released, it'll probably be at the beginnnig of 2011 and possibly serve as the era closer. Honestly, though, I wouldn't mind if that happens. If it's the third single though, then her #1 streak will have to end sooner than we have hoped; also, it may last into the summer also, which I want reserved for Undo It and only Undo It.

Heh...I actually think the complete opposite. If "Quitter" is released, I think it's the safe choice, a machine driven beat...along the same lines as "All-American Girl." I think it would have a good chance to hit #1.

"Undo It" would be a more daring choice, but I don't know if it would hit #1. It has a very Shania-esque feel to it. And I think it would get Shania-like results. Shania isn't really a singles chart artist. She's had seven #1s, but her final #1 song came back in 1998 (she has seven #1 hit songs total). Her singles sell the album. I don't think aiming for #1 on the singles chart is their main goal.

I do think "Undo It" would sell the album more than "Quitter" would. But I think "Quitter" has the better chance of hitting #1 on the singles chart.

For me personally, "Undo It" is my least favorite song on the album and I often find myself skipping over it. I just can't stand Kara's songwriting.

Personally, I'm pulling for "Songs Like This" to be the next single.

Is Carrie going to do any more international promo? It has always completely baffled me that they haven't sent Carrie over to Canada or Australia to do some promo.

I am still confused about the holdup of Carrie touring overseas as many other country artists have done so already (ie, Sugarland, Taylor, Rascal Flats, Dierks Bentley, Kenny, Faith and Tim, Martina McBride, Miranda is doing Lilith Fair, etc). It is surprising that she hasn't done a single talk show in Canada this time around. She did alot of promo in Canada last time. There are rumors that she is booked to do Australia either late 2010 after the US'/Canada portion of the tour is over, or early 2011. Simon Fuller also mentioned the UK and Germany, but I have not heard anything yet.

I would not imagine it would take place this summer due to the Wedding, but maybe she could do a few shows in the UK in September 2010, before she resumes the Fall leg of the US/Canada tour? Not sure.

she has mike fisher doing all the promo in canada for her now. her face has been splashed all over canadian tv when she's at the hockey games so they know about her!

in all seriousness, they could be working on something overseas but we don't know about it yet. there have been more than a few instances where carrie and/or her team managed to keep things on the downlow and then hit us with an announcement.

As long as the next single is either "Undo It", "Songs Like This", or especially "Quitter", I'll be ecstatic.

I think each song would be a huge hit on radio. I think the first two would easily sell albums. "Quitter", I'm not so sure. I think it has the potential to be an album mover.

Out of the three though, I would chose "Quitter" because "Songs Like This" and "Undo It" are attitudy, in-your-face type songs like "Before He Cheats", "Last Name", and "Cowboy Cassanova". "Quitter" shows a different side of Carrie, vocally and instrumentally.

Well..I'll pick This Time then...lol I really think it could be a hit...like wasted was...TT is a good time summer song and I can see myself blasting it out of my car window. It's a nice mid tempo that is so country....

^ Agree that a mid-tempo would be great, as both AAG and Wasted did really well for Carrie. I love This Time too! It grew on my so much! :) I also love Quitter and Undo It too though. lol
I am fine with either choice, but I do hope 2 out of those 3 get released.

I'm all for "This Time" or even "Unapologize" AFTER the next single. I think she needs one more obvious, easy hit before one of those two can be released. I don't think they're instant smashes like the 3 songs I mentioned earlier.

I remember a video of an interview with Little Big Town where the singled out This Time as something they liked also. Perfect upbeat song to follow a ballad like TH.

Pre-release highlighted track, summer song, consistently receives the most downloads of the non-singles, has the most streams, wins all the next single polls on fan boards, and it's co-written by Kara, making it the obvious choice to be performed on American Idol.

In last Monday’s episode of CBS’s comedy, “How I Met Your Mother," country music’s, Carrie Underwood guest starred as Tiffany, a pharmaceuticals sales rep. Underwood’s character is Ted’s love interest in the episode.

Ted thinks that Tiffany is really interested in him but his friends keep telling him that Tiffany (Underwood) is keeping him on her hook. While Ted tries to decide how Tiffany really feels about him, Barney, played by Neil Patrick Harris, fantasizes about Tiffany in the hot girl profession of different time periods.

Personally, I thought Carrie was a natural unlike a lot of singers when they attempt to cross over to acting. Carrie appeared to be very comfortable in her role, delivering her lines with great comedic timing. Underwood also seemed to fit right in with her co-stars. One of her co-stars was a teacup pig. Growing up on a farm in Checotah, Oklahoma, Carrie felt right at home with the pig.

Underwood’s appearance on, “How I Met Your Mother” isn’t the last time you will be seeing her act. She recently wrapped filming on her first film titled, “Soul Surfer” due out sometime next year.

You can also catch Carrie live in concert when her “Play On” tour hits Colorado June 3rd and 4th.

... and it's a Carrie co-write, which immediately gives it an advantage that Quitter, Songs Like This, and This Time don't have. I personally like those 3 songs more than Undo It, but yeah, Undo It does seem to be the most popular of the 4.

I really want Carrie to choose some riskier singles. Safe isn't going to move albums at this point. She has already sold a ton, but I would like to see her choose something other than the safe/easy choice.
