I actually like it. A few listens and its really not that bad. Who cares who got what parts. They took the most popular artists of today and redid the song. They can't take the old stars and put them back together. This is who we have now and these people are part of our popular music. I think it was really heartfelt and everybody gave it their all. It wasn't gonna be easy to take all these artists from so many different genres and make it work perfectly. Everyone wanted to participate and you can't be mad at that. I think Lionel and Quincy did their best trying to put together all the great talent they had in front of them and the short amount of time they had. Give it a chance guys.

This wasn't as horrific as I expected it to be. J. Hud, P!nk and Celine sounded great. Wyclef OMG... That vibrato!!! WTF! It sounds like someone legit slashed his jugular or something. Seriously could have done without the rapping parts, but I'm sure there will be a radio edit without them at some point.

Horrible. The auto tune from the ones who can't even sing, and the rap ruined it completely.

I said I hated it initially, but now it's growing on me!!! Even the rap parts are growing on me! Wyclef sounds horrible, but everything is else seems great!!! Definately worth buying, especially considering where the money is going.

Wow! I am shocked that this is #2 after a couple of hours. Known song. Good promo spot. Current popular cause to benefit. Toss in fans who want anything their favorite is involved in( and there are several favorites involved) and not that big of a surprise. It'll make money which it was desgned to do. It won't be the classic the first was though.

I don't mind the rap, but they shouldn't have had Justin Bieber start it off. He can sing, but it was a weak beginning.

What if this song ended up being the best selling digital single of all time? What if it does? Won't make the song any better. It would be great news for Haiti though.

They are just hating. The song isn't that bad even though I hate charity songs in general.

This turned out to be a bigger mess than I thought it would be. I'm really happy that the proceed of this project is going to help so many prople... BUT: Seriously WTF? The only singers doing a great job on this are Groban, Dion and A. Moore!

I don't hate this but there are too many different voices in one song. Wyclef Jean, Enrique Iglesias, rappers, Akon...People who just can't sing a song like this. We Are the World is a big pop ballad which is unfamiliar genre to basically 75% of the artists here.

No, We Are The World is about bringing together the big artists of the day in all genres. In early 1985, there weren't any major rap stars to speak of. Had there been, the 1985 version would have had a rap component as well.

While I am personally not a fan of rap, I'm not surprised that something wasn't done to get some rappers involved in the project.

rap was just starting to break through to mainstream and there were no real stars at that point, otherwise there may have been rap in that one too
