It would pretty boring if all we did here was sit and discuss numbers, no? It seems to me that people would rather just hear OMG SMASH IT ADAM LOOK AT THAT SMASH UPDATE FUTURE #1 than constructive criticism or discussion of WHY the song is performing like it is.

I'm not trying to come in here and make a deliberate dig at Adam but seriously wtf is he wearing? when the video gets blurry he could be mistaken for a woman. I agree with you. I love Adam, but sometimes he can look like a woman (or a manly lesbian). It happens. I could care less, hes talented. And sometimes hes downright sexy... it just depends how he dresses.

He should go back to doing drag. I think he will have a more productive career.

His concert attire was much more like the second photo than the third.
I watched a couple of vids from his concert. The cover of Whole Lotta Love that people were going all gaga over, and part of Fever. I didn't get why people dug his cover of WLL. It was a bit dull. And he didn't even sing for a lot of it... just kind of moaned. In Fever his outfit was too distracting. With Lady Gaga, her outfits are outrageous, but I've never been distracted by one enough to stop paying attention to her performance.
I don't know. I mean, cool if he wants to do the outrageous outfit thing. I don't really care, and his fans seem to like it. It's just hella distracting to me--seems more theatrical than a like a real concert.
He sang 13 songs. Is that a normal-sized set list? Seems a little short, but I'm used to singers and bands that don't do the whole theatrical thing. Maybe that takes up time.

I like his outfits, although they look a bit cheap. With a budget like GaGa's I'm sure he can do better.
I do agree WLL was kinda boring. Maybe I expected too much after all the fans declared it his best performance ever.

I saw the vids with almost no hype / fan reaction before hand and was completely blown away by it. I don't think it was his best performance ever necessarily, but I loved how it was this achingly cool hippie trippy thing. And his vocals were incredible. I do know what you mean about hype though. If you had come to it cold you might have appreciated it more. That always annoys me when it happens so I tend to avoid reviews until afterwards!

I'm also never really blown away by fan made concert videos. Even though the quality of these concert videos is relatively good, it's nowhere near the impression you get when you're actually there, or even when you're watching a professionally made concert DVD. I do hope I won't have too wait too long for Adam to release such a DVD (or he can come to the Netherlands!)

I just thought it was odd given the ticket prices.

I though that Broken Open and WLL were the high point of the concert. But if you watch a Led Zep live performance of WLL that break is in the song -- it is referred to as the "orgasmic break" and Adam's performance was very true to the live version of the original song -- but acoustic.

Are casino shows shorter than concerts in a different venue? I saw that David Cook also had a casino concert the same night as Adam and sang about 11 songs. Maybe the management doesn't want the show to go on so long that people are too tired to go back out and gamble after the concert is over.
I like that cover of WLL, gives it a different vibe than the original version but it still works with what the song is all about.
Is Cumulus ever going to add WWFM?

Maybe the management doesn't want the show to go on so long that people are too tired to go back out and gamble after the concert is over. That is usually the case. Casinos don't want the people to be in a show longer than 90 min (usually). They want them to be entertained but not taken away from the real source of revenue (gambling).

Other gays have been in the Top 10 (but none of them out but Adam and he's not in the top 10) :)
I thought he looked kind of silly at that casino show. In the older pics posted he looks like one of the "ladies" in RuPaul's drag contest. Not very current.
