Supposedly called Between The Lines or something like that according to XM due to radio in three weeks. Only heard a 10 second clip. Sounds really familiar. I know we haven't heard from the band per se since the early part of last decade. But with Velvet Revolver and Weiland's solo releases, it's not like it's a comeback. I assume Modern radio will embrace them again. But these days nothing is guaranteed in music.
EDIT : MODIFIED TITLE

Should be decent. Don't remember what the last album sounded like.

If this doesn't make the top 5, they may never have a hit again.

If Alice In Chains could gather back-to-back #1 hits without the late Layne this era, I'm pretty sure this lead single at the very least will scale up the charts rather rapidly.
Especially with the Alternative chart a competitive mess as it is (less than 450 spins separating the #1 and #10 singles) I think it's very likely they'll get a Top 3 hit off the hype alone.
Sincerely, Lisping Hibiscus

Considering the new Alice In Chains was basically a Cantrell solo album, it would've scored great airplay with Bret Michaels on lead vocals. But I agree the Alternative stations are pretty much playing everything, and spreading it all around. This sounds like a hit, and most likely will be.

Considering the new Alice In Chains was basically a Cantrell solo album Which sounded like Alice In Chains to begin with anyway, so what's the difference?

I guess I'm saying, why do you even have to keep calling it a Cantrell solo album when Cantrell sounds like AIC in the first place? It's like you're trying to establish a difference that clearly is not there. You even admit to as much just now.

You may have it out of context. I was responding to Lisping Hibiscus in that he said Alice In Chains made a great comeback after losing their lead singer. My response was they could've had anyone singing on lead and still had that success because it's always been the Cantrell writing and style that made the sound.

Considering the new Alice In Chains was basically a Cantrell solo album I read it exactly as you stated it. If you wanted to be more accurate with your point then you should have said it like this... Considering Alice In Chains was always basically a Cantrell solo project ...instead of using the adjective new, which implies that you are separating the new album from the rest of the output.

I know you read it, but it was in response to a previous post. Only implied the trend continues, with the exception of the mostly-Staley acoustic albums that fed into Mad Season. Those would be the only exceptions to me.

Your apparent intent in response to that post does not match the grammatical ability you have displayed.

I suppose the real question here is why I am ever expecting you to admit you made a mistake like a normal human being?

I'm assuming we both have the same opinion about Alice In Chains. Nothing wrong with that.

Billboard says it's going to Progressive / 3A before heading to rock. I get the feeling their hard sound may be heading to an older audience. Hard to tell in just a few seconds of the chorus.
