I did, meaning the title didn't sound familiar. The song I've heard more than I care to have heard. I'm not even sure they say the word plush in the song. I didn't start listening to this band until I heard some of their darker stuff on No. 4.

No, I'm not sure where the title Plush comes from now that you say that. The lyrics don't contain that word. When I saw them in concert once (Tiny Music era) he introduced it by saying, "this next song is called......lunch meat" and then they went into the opening bars. Lol. He is awesomely weird in concert, and they are an absolutely amazing show.
I was lucky enough, later, to see them in a very small venue. Very cool.

Lunch Meat would've been remembered, that's for sure! Great title.

Finally was able to purchase the track on iTunes- I'm officially in love with it! I always have to give new STP music a minute...I have to get into their vibe.

Maybe with some big sales they can get a Hot 100 hit out of this too.

Maybe...I don't think it's in the iTunes 100 yet. I think I'm more interested in what the album does. If it does well, we may even get another one! Whoever even expected to get this one though? I feel like it's a huge bonus.

In hindsight I think I saw it coming. Weiland never looked excited with Velvet Revolver. Always bitching about something in the end. I think they're going to play this album safe, while anticipating Green Day-like notoriety.

Well, we'll see. I don't know that they expect "Green Day notoriety" but that would be cool. Velvet Revolver was neither as good as GNR nor STP. It was ok.

I always found Velvet Revolver more interesting and stronger than Stone Temple Pilots. But you are right, neither will match the intensity of the classic Guns N' Roses lineup.

I'd take STP over VR any day of the week

Best singles from each band for me: Sweet Child O' Mine, Slither, and Vasoline.

Why was the thread from 2003 locked? It was interesting/relevant to see how comments/predictions (whatever you want to call them) from 2003 compared to the reality of 2010.

I'd take STP over VR any day of the week Me too, by a lot. I think I just like the work of the DeLeo brothers. Songwriting is great, and Robert's basslines are just sick. They are not what you normally hear in rock music.

I'm guessing some of those with the control to lock it don't necessarily agree that this place is "THE #1 SOURCE FOR MUSIC CHARTS AND DISCUSSION." Or there's an expiration date that nobody knows about? Why was the thread from 2003 locked?

As Three Days Grace's "The Good Life" has been gaining faster on active over the last few days than "Between The Lines", this may not be a shoe-in #1 after all.

Honestly, this doesn't feel heavy enough to make that chart, let alone #1. But I know that's a generalization.

Could this be their second single where it does better on Alternative than Active?

Finally up to #2 by itself. But Godsmack had a resurrection week to make this an underdog for the top of Active airplay.

This is already starting to lose steam. Excellent. Why is that excellent? We have haters in the rock section of pulse too? Ugh.

Dude, I like this song. I was being sarcastic. Ok good. I"m just too used to the other sections of the board where everyone just talks shit all the time, or most of the time...
