Its easily the worst song on the album That title belongs to Highway Unicorn (Road to Love) tbh. The Queen is a close 2nd.

Really?? It's actually my favorite. "Dance dance dance with my hands hands hands above my head head head like jesus said I'm gonna..." is incredibly infectious. Also her adlibs in the last chorus are perfection. Also the production is probably the best of any song on the album. If not for the religious stuff I would think its the best choice for the fourth single.

Also the production is probably the best of any song on the album. Production wise, the best song on the album is Heavy Metal Lover imo.

Bloody Mary is great! But it is a horrible choice for a single in the US. Judas has burned too many bridges for religious themes on this album. Hair is the way to go. I love MTN (oh hell, I love most of the album)... but Hair is the best bet for the next single.

Yup. It's part of the filler half imo, along with "The Queen, Heavy Metal Lover" and "Highway Unicorn".

I find Bloody Mary to be the least best track on the album as well, next to Road To Love. I dont talk about the bonus tracks on the other CD cause I dont like any of em and I only bought the normal version. Future singles should be Marry The Night, Hair, You & I. I like Heavy Metal Lover and Americano but I dont think theyd do that well states side, maybe Europe. The general public wouldn't even know how to pronounce the title, much less know its literal translation (which certainly doesn't help matters either). LOL. Aside from it being one of the most instant tracks, there is nothing about it that would make it a good single here. It's clearly a fan favorite but that wouldn't make it a good single. "Judas" flopped for completely different reasons but I couldn't see it doing any better. There is too much working against its mainstream appeal, which Gaga still relies on heavily. She can't get away with releasing fan favorites if casual listeners/fans won't take to it. And let's be real, they won't. THIS! Reasons I think "Scheiße" would not perform well in the US. 1. The title is a non-American word. The majority of Americans have no idea how to pronounce it. Not only that, but it uses a character that is not part of the English language. It also complicates matters because Americans who hear the song would have no idea what the title is, because they're not going to assume a word they are unfamiliar with is the title of the song. That leaves people having to search a little more than usual to figure out what "that new Lady Gaga song" is. 2. The foreign title makes it more difficult to sing along and relate to. People will actually have to look up the meaning to the song to get a real idea of what the song is about. People like songs that they can relate to easily without having to Google the lyrics to get any idea of what the song is about. The "Judas" lyrics likely flew over radio listeners' heads for the same reason. People seemed to be aware that it was a Biblical reference, but that was not enough to really make sense of the song. It just made it weird to sing along to and relate to. 3. Translated, the foreign title is profane. 4. The industrial influenced beats backing the verses are too far removed from what's popular at radio. It's well-known that music does not succeed commercially when it veers too far from what people are used to. A popular artist like Gaga might be able to get away with a single that has hard industrial beats if that's the only thing about the song that separates it from everything else that is popular. A single that not only uses industrial beats, but features many lyrics in a foreign language, and is titled after a profane word in a foreign language is just taking things and pushing them way too left of the middle. and this!

Bloody Mary and Heavy Metal Lover could quite possibly be in my top 5 Gaga songs of all time, or at least be in the running. Brilliant and I don't get how anyone could call them filler Like, I get not liking them because we all have different opinions, but filler to me is generic lazy tacked on songs just to fill the cd out and these are anything but random generic dance tracks tacked on, ha ha.

Bloody Mary is GOAT. Seriously, it is such an amazing track.
The eerie beginning, the production, the lyrical content, her vocals, the Gregorian-like chanting, the background vocals, the Portuguese ending saying "freedom and love", etc.

Can she just sing "Hair" in it's original form? The self-indulgent acoustic version is nauseating.

I'm loving the whole green look, but I think the red lipstick is getting a bit old. I hope she uses othe colors more often.

I think "Scheiße" would work just fine as a single stateside. I definitely don't think it'll be as difficult for people to digest as "Judas" which had so many elements potentially working against it. The only things that I could see holding back "Scheiße" is the word itself but only if it gets edited into something nonsensical like what happened with "If U Seek Amy." I doubt people would be turned off by not immediately understanding the title. Actually, the song itself is such an ear worm that I see it as one of those situations where people will be naturally curious about what she's talking about and look it up sort of like how people have done for "Rolling in the Deep." I think it's the one track on Born This Way begging, kicking and screaming for a decadent Francis Lawrence video treatment.
"Marry the Night," "Scheiße" or an edited "Hair" sound like the best remaining single choices to me in some sort of order. I think Gaga's camp really needs to tighten up how they roll out the next singles as they will make or break the longevity of this era. I know some actually like the video for TEOG but it's pretty clear it didn't really help further propel the song which is unfortunate.

Yes, if Scheiße is going to be the next single then it NEEDS an amazing video and they should get it out as soon as possible so it doesn't have a chance to tank on radio. They could also release it in Europe before TEoG is done in the US to test the waters a bit.

HITS says 35% drop to 68k, from #2 to #4 on fourth week. If numbers hold, she's at 1.453m and should be at 1.5m next week.

I agree with those who mentioned The Queen as one of the worst tracks. It's the only track I skip and I think TQ is just trying to be TEOG and failing.

I quite enjoy The Queen. I love the tempo change near the end. It's not a standout track but any means but it's definitely "nice".

The Queen fits in with those BTW tracks (like HU(RTL), Bad Kids, and Electric Chapel) that are totally fine and nice but aren't really anything special, imo.

Bloody Mary, Heavy Metal Lover and Scheisse are my favorite tracks from the record (and along with Alejandro and Paparazzi, my favorite Gaga records period). Filler? As if.

I'd be disappointed if they don't at least release Scheiße in the US. August 2011 - “Marry the Night” November 2011 - “Scheiße” February 2012 - “Yoü and I” (US), “Bloody Mary”/“Heavy Metal Lover” (International) May 2012 - “Hair”
