theyre starting to sound more and more "nicklebacky" the more the years go by. such a shame. If you mean mainstream, Only By the Night is the only "mainstream sounding" album, even though there are only like 4 or 5 songs that do sound more radio-friendly. I find "Radioactive" sounds a little more experimental and sounds a bit like their older stuff more than OBTN stuff. And if you mean it in a literal way, Kings of Leon do not sound like Nickelback at all.

Well ya see I love Nickelback and hate Kings Of Leon, especially this song. So the comparison is just silly.

I've heard rumours this is even worse than Use Somebody, which was by far last year's worst popular song. Is this rumour true? If so, how have you all managed to listen to it and avoided instant deafness?

^I won't claim to know your tastes for certain, but from what I generally perceive to be your taste in music, I think you'll find this much more tolerable than "Use Somebody".

This is much better IMO than "Use Somebody" although I'm not a huge fan of any Kings of Leon song anyway, so take that for what it is.

Well, his voice is still pretty gosh-darn pretty bad, but the rest of this song is, at worst, irritating, and at best, trite and forgettable. The intro is even, kind of, dare I say it, cool, right up until when his vocals start. Most of today's cock rock actually is worse than this. Congratulations Kings Of Leon, you've released a song that is no worse than most of the crap on rock radio today!

This song is too bland to be worth hating ... I'm impressed. This song is so much better than Use Somebody or Sex On Fire, it's incredible the difference.

The only thing I'm disappointed with is that the CD version does not have the gospel choir. I wonder if they're releasing a single mix with the background vocals. It feels a little empty without them. Or if quite simply the pre release promo didn't have the final mix of Radioactive. Come Around Sundown is being released in a standard version, the 13-track album, and a deluxe version, which includes three bonus tracks. The version of "Radioactive" with the choir is one of the bonus tracks.

wow, the haters are disgusting. Where the hell did they come from!? That's alternative for you. You love a band until everybody else does, then you have to hate them. That's just what it means to like alternative music. It's only good if a lot of people don't like it, otherwise it is "sell-out" garbage. I think Kings Of Leon are amazingly true to themselves after the huge success of the last album, and have put out good music without "selling out" by *trying* to make mainstream hits. The #1 is a sign that they are well-liked on alternative, the Red Hot Chili's and a few others had a enough following to garner "automatic" #1's on this format and it looks like KoL have reached that level which automatically brings on the haters.
