I don't know, I think that "Like a G6" mess comes close. I didn't like this at first, but yesterday it clicked for me. Like a G6 is awesome! I just can't stand it. It's one of those really polarizing songs. To me, it sounds like something that should never ever be heard outside of a club.

^ Well we're going to have to deal with electro-pop/rap/techno for a couple of years at least :(
I for one like the song a little, but not enough to say I love it.

Like this song, listened to the rest of the album yesterday and nothing really stood out, probably just need to listen to it again. I think they made the right move not making it so CHR\friendly.

It's ridiculous to say these bands aren't writing music to make money though. If they weren't they'd never sign deals with labels in the first place. Same goes for Alternative bands though - Linkin Park's in it for the money just as much as Nickelback or Lifehouse Absolutely, I wouldn't suggest otherwise. Now, I do think you can point to examples where bands don't necessarily try to capitalize on every little money-making opportunity, or even sacrifice slam-dunk profits for the sake of artistry, but then again, most of those examples are bands that have already made a mint.

Anyway they have enough money at this stage to fill 20 lifetimes.

^IMO this won't chart on CHR - the theme/lyrics are too abstract and don't think pop listeners will "get it"

This is nominated for Best Rock Song of the Year. Kinda surprising seeing as it's only been out for 2 and a half months ???

Is there a follow-up single and if so, how is it performing?

Is there a follow-up single and if so, how is it performing? Not yet. Although, "Pyro" has been released as the second single in some countries.

This and "Back Down South" have been the only songs that stand out whenever I listen to the new record, so I'm rooting for the later to be the next single.

This isn't having too much staying power. They should probably release another single soon.

I think "Back Down South" is possibly being released to AAA, since it's alread charting there. That might expand to small-scale "All Summer Long" hit. I just want "The End" released. REALLY BADLY. Merry X-Mas!
