2012 was a return to 52 weeks (there were 53 weeks in 2011) dated from 01.07.12 to 12.29.12. Despite that, I charted more songs this year than last, with a huge 292 songs appearing on a 2012 charts. Even with lots of songs having good longevity, there was a pretty big turnover rate.
For those who have seen my weekly charts, I use a points system, with each song getting a certain number of points each week. For my rankings I total all of these weekly points.
I will post everything in the following order, just like last year:
Top Artists The top 10 artists, based on the points for all of their songs as a main artist and as a featured artist. Main artists and featured artists receive full points.
Top Flops The top 5 songs that I gave a fighting chance by charting them, but still ended up flopping miserably. Songs that don't make the chart aren't flops since I just never liked them. These are songs that I gave the benefit of the doubt and sincerely attempted to like. But they just proved to be flops.
Point range: Under 1500 points.
Bubbling Under #115-#101
Songs that missed the cut off for the top 100. I listened to them, but they just didn't connect enough to go that extra mile into the top 100.
Point range: ~5500-6000 points.
Hot ZV Radio Filler Songs #100-#51
Plenty of good songs in here that were easy to listen to and enjoy. But they weren't mega hits for me.
Point range: ~6000-10000 points.
Hot ZV Radio Smashes Songs #50-#26
Believe it or not, every songs #50 and above made my top 10 at some point or another. So I guess it'd be good to say all of these were top 10 smashes!
Point range: ~10000-13000 points.
Hot ZV Radio Hits #25-#11
Here are the songs that performed great, plenty of hits in here. Some of the best of the year are in here.
Point range: ~13000-17000 points.
Hot ZV Radio Smash Hits #10-#6
Every song in the top 10 managed to reach either #1 or #2 on my chart. These are the creme of the crop for sure.
Point range: ~17000-22000 points.
Hot ZV Radio Power Rotation #5-#3
These are some songs that I simply could not get enough of this year. They just had me addicted for weeks upon weeks.
Point range: ~22000-30000 points.
Hot ZV Runner-Up #2
The song that almost went the full mile but got cut short. Still an epic masterpiece for years to come I'm sure.
Point range: Over 33000 points.
Hot ZV Song Of The Year #1
Quite simply the best song to have been released this year. Nothing tops this flawless masterpiece.
Point Range: Over 35000 points.

Top Artists
1o. Ke$ha
Thanks to a strong showing from her album Warrior, Ke$ha was able to place enough tracks on my personal chart right from the album's release for her point total to be high enough to crack the top 10!
o9. Justin Bieber
No surprise with the smashes he has had from Believe that he would be making this list!
o8. Hot Chelle Rae
Their CD Whatever spawned my #1 song from 2011, so it was expected that I would enjoy the rest of the album as well!
o7. PSY
I absolutely love all of PSY 6甲 (Six Rules), Part 1 and it had a ton of success on my personal charts this year!
o6. Carly Rae Jepsen
Although her first two singles left a poor taste in my mouth, I was able to enjoy the rest of Curiosity for her to make a strong placement this year!
o5. Linkin Park
Almost certainly not a surprise with my loyalty to the band and how great Living Things was!
o4. Rihanna
With tracks from Talk That Talk and Unapologetic charting as well as some appearances as a featured artist, Rihanna is hard to beat on this list!
o3. Nicki Minaj
Nicki Minaj managed to make me fall in love with a ton of her tracks from Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded and had some strong features as well, so she placed well here!
o2. Taylor Swift
Red has had tons of chart success on my personal chart, so it's no surprise that she made a huge challenge for the #1 slot this year.
o1. Flo Rida
Wild Ones is flawless and Flo Rida is one of my most adored artists. Thanks to multiple chart successes this year, Flo Rida rightfully claims his throne as my #1 artist this year.

Top Flops#5 Adam Lambert - Never Close Our Eyes [Never Close Our Flops] This pathetic song only managed a meager three weeks on my chart with a very generous #31 peak. Still, this song just failed on all fronts. At first I thought the hook made it at least worth listening to; but that ended up not being the case. The song is just a disaster on all fronts. I never wanna open my ears for it again. FLOP. #4 Lumineers - Ho Hey [Ho Flop] Hey, this song sucks. Like it's really terrible compared to all of the alternative crossovers from this year. In fact it's a huge cut below the majority of songs on Alternative in the first place. This song had six weeks on my chart with a #39 peak; talk about a terrible chart run; I clearly gave this song too much of the benefit of the doubt. FLOP. #3 Rita Ora - How We Do (Party) [How We Do (Flop)] This song doesn't make me get into the mood to party at all. I'd rather go take a shit than listen to this bullshit excuse of a song. There are really no good qualities to this song. It managed to chart for two weeks too many; meaning it charted for two weeks with a chart peak of #35. FLOP. #2 Carly Rae Jepsen - Tonight I'm Getting Over You [Tonight I'm Flopping Over You] The only track on this list that is an album track; and one with much hype as well. The only thing I'd like to crush in my hands would be the recording equipment that this song came out of. I was over this song quickly, mainly because I was never into it in the first place. This song's three weeks and #44 chart peak really show the dismal performance it had for me. FLOP. #1 Matchbox Twenty - She's So Mean [She's So Flop] This song is so mean, it's like hell to my eardrums. I'm sad to have had the displease of hearing it. A terrible song from an otherwise great band. It's truly the worst song to come out of this year. This song only got a single week on my chart at #50, thank goodness I quickly realised that even that one week was far too much credit to give this song. The lyrics are about as dumb as you can get, the production is bland and effortless, and not even the vocals deliver here. Just a bad effort all around. FOTY - FLOP OF THE YEAR.

LMAO, How We Do and Ho Hey are both in my top 5 flops of the year too Though I actually like the former. I didn't even bother downloading #1 and #5 but Tonight I'm Getting Over You is brilliant and you will deal. :'(

Radio Filler #100-91#100 Hot Chelle Rae - HonestlySorry Kelly Clarkson fans, this likely wasn't the "Honestly" you were hoping for. Hot Chelle Rae had my #1 song of 2011 with "Tonight, Tonight" and they place three tracks in the top 100 this year, and this is the first! This is a great song and I love the chorus! Peak: #11 Weeks: 11 #99 Taylor Swift - State Of GraceThe first of a whopping eight tracks that Taylor Swift managed to place in the Top 100 this year! This was definitely an adventure Taylor Swift took and her venture definitely paid off. Peak: #8 Weeks: 7 #98 Walk The Moon - Anna SunThe only track you will see from this band, as I didn't care for "Tightrope". Still, this song has an excellent hook and it really drew me in, but had a quick burn rate. Peak: #2 Weeks: 7 #97 Taylor Swift - StarlightThe second song of the eight-song Taylor rampage. This song really managed to captivate me right when the CD first came out. It's actually still charting as of the 12.29.12 chart! Peak: #10 Weeks: 10 #96 Train - Drive ByWhile this is super catchy, this song proved forgettable overall. The burn rate really prevents me from revisiting it now. However Train does have one song that ranks higher! Peak: #11 Weeks: 8 #95 Justin Bieber - MariaThe first song of four that the reigning King Of Pop places in the Top 100! This song has an excellent intro and Justin really tapes into the Michael Jackson vibes here. Sadly this one did burn out a bit quickly. Peak: #3 Weeks: 7 #94 Manika - Good GirlsSorry Carrie Underwood fans, this is not the "Good Girl" you were hoping for! This is her only entry, but this song is surprisingly refreshing! While it didn't last too long, it actually has a fairly decent replay value now! The song is just cute and innocent. Peak: #4 Weeks: 7 #93 Give Me All Your Luvin' ft. M.I.A. & Nicki Minaj - MadonnaNo, you won't be seeing M.I.A. or Madonna after this entry. However this is the first of eight times you will see Nicki Minaj! And let's be real, the only reason I was able to like the song as much as I did was because of Nicki delivering here. Peak: #11 Weeks: 10 #92 One Direction - One ThingHey! This band where I couldn't tell you who was who or even name all five of them. Yeah. This song was enjoyable! They have another song which charts higher! No, it's not "What Makes You Beautiful"! No it's not anything from their new CD either! Peak: #5 Weeks: 9 #91 Justin Bieber - Thought Of YouThe next song from your Justin Timberlake replacement-but-not-really-because-Bieber-Is-Better-anyway! This song is awesome! Our lord and saviour Bieber delivers his angelic vocals here and slays the flawless instrumental while Pulse stays so pre ssed Justin doesn't even need to use a dry cleaner! Peak: #10 Weeks: 11 Audio Snippets

Give Me All Your Luvin' is nice. I think I like the Justin songs but idk off the top of my head, still pretty new with that album. Oh and ONE THING listened to snippets thought of you is good. I don't have the deluxe bieber album so not familiar with maria but it seemed good

Great to see "State of Grace", "Anna Sun", "Starlight" and "Drive By" on your Top 100, Xiivi. :) Sad to see both of Zedd's songs didn't make it, as well as "Little Talks", "Beauty and a Beat", "Midnight City", "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" and "The Last Time".

Radio Filler #90-81#90 Ke$ha - Only Wanna Dance With YouGasp, the lowest ranking #1 of 2012! Of course, this song was the last song to go #1 in 2012, and thus will end up spending a good chunk of its chart life in 2013. Still this song is amazing! One of the best tracks from her newest album easily. The chorus to this gives me life, and the verses are cute too. She really bounces off well with The Stokes. This is the first of three Ke$ha songs that managed to chart this year! Peak: #1 (1 Week) Weeks: 5 #89 PSY (싸이) - Blue Frog (청개구리) ft. G-DragonApologies for the pitch issues in the youtube video, it was all I could find. The whole EP is simply amazing! This is definitely one of the highlights for me though. This song just seems really fun and playful, especially with G-Dragon's verse, which he slays. PSY really did well with his collaborations. This is the first of a whopping four entries that PSY managed to place on my chart this year, definitely domination. Peak: #8 Weeks: 10 #88 Nicki Minaj - AutomaticAnother smash hit from Nicki Minaj. This one actually hasn't stood the test of time as well as some of the others, so I'm thankful it ended up ranking lower than most of them. In fact I'd say even Masquerade, which this outranked, has ended up holding up better. Still this song is great overall and shows that Nicki can really do pop right! Peak: #6 Weeks: 12 #87 3OH!3 - R.I.P.Yes, you are reading the note below right. This really is a song that peaked in 2010 and then had a resurgence in 2012. In 2010 I only paid attention to the singles/promo singles on "Streets Of Gold", with this being the only album track that caught my interest then. However this year, I found out what a huge mistake that was. I ended up charting a lot from the album, and in the end this track was so good that I ended up having to re-chart it. This is easily one of their best songs by leagues. You will actually see three more 3OH!3 songs on this list! Peak: #3 Weeks: 23 (10 weeks of the 23 were spent in 2010 and not counted towards the 2012 chart) #66 on the 2010 chart#86 Breathe Carolina - BlackoutThis was definitely a quick hit for them. This fun electro track really caught my attention. Unfortunately it ended up burning on me quickly and even now it hasn't held up too well. Despite that, I must admit this was an insanely catchy track for a little while. It has a lot of quirky things in it that are good at drawing you in and catching you attention. This is their sole entry. Peak: #5 Weeks: 11 #85 Usher - ScreamHere's the only entry you will be seeing from Usher this year. The song is definitely generic and disposable. But it proved its worth and was listenable for a few months. It was catchy and fun, which was all it really needed to be. Of course now it is burnt out and I have little interest in revisiting it, but it's still a good dance-pop track. Peak: #7 Weeks: 11 #84 will.i.am - This Is Love ft. Eva SimonsThe only entry for either of the artists in this collab. This is an amazing song. And this would have performed so much better on my chart had it not been for Eva Simons being absolutely terrible. Her wailing completely ruins the song. However, the rest of the song is magic. Here will.i.am really puts out his all and really manages to captivate your ears. He just nailed it here enough for me to sit through Eva's terrible vocals to hear him. Peak: #6 Weeks: 13 #83 Daniel Kim - Pop Danthology 2011Last year Daniel Kim really caught my attention with this mix! It performed exceptionally well on my chart, and is actually the second highest mash-up on this countdown. The other is of course not by DJ Earworm who only managed to do well with his 2009/2010 year-end mash-ups. Regardless, Daniel Kim really proved his worth with this track and his 2012 mix is amazing as well. Unfortunately for mash-ups, they tend to be guaranteed to have some weeks knocked off due to their timing. Peak: #6 Weeks: 11 (2 weeks of the 11 were spent in 2011 and not counted towards the 2012 chart) #210 on the 2011 chart#82 Drake - Take Care ft. RihannaA great Drake song and it's not Rihanna that kept me listening. In fact I'd say she was fairly forgettable here. Drake on the other hand really got it right here. This song is so laid back and really good for easy listening. It is definitely a song I feel can be easily revisited from time to time. You will see Drake with one higher entry and Rihanna with two higher entries this year. Peak: #5 Weeks: 12 #81 Carly Rae Jepsen - Turn Me UpThis will be the first of five Carly Rae Jepsen songs to make this list. Unfortunately, this song definitely should not be the lowest ranked among them all. The song ended up actually getting a fairly unfair chart run compared to some of the others. This was one of the instant highlights of the album and quickly zoomed to the top of my chart. However I spammed it a bit too much and it burned on me. However it can be so easily revisited and really has held up better than a couple of the songs above it. Thankfully it has a strong peak to make up for its low ranking. Peak: #2 Weeks: 9 Audio Snippets

I like everything on here except -Give Me All Your Luvin' (ew ) -Blue Frog (never heard it) -Pop Danceology (never heard it) at Top Flops Love that you started getting into 3OH!3! I actually got into that album early 2012 too. I think it was their promo singles released around Christmas that got me listening to them again. I love Streets of Gold now! Great list so far!

Radio Filler #80-71#80 Linkin Park - Lost In The EchoA great track from the album! I know a lot of people were excited about this being a single, but this honestly didn't feel like a smash single to me (which proved to be right with its under performance). Of course, I still think this is a great song by a great band on an amazing album! This will be the first of a whopping five entries you will see for the band! Peak: #9 Weeks: 12 #79 Ke$ha - Crazy KidsThe second of three Ke$ha songs. This song quite clearly is low due to the fact that it is still smashing on my chart and will likely chart on the 2013 countdown as well. This is pretty much as high as a song can get when it comes to having multiple weeks at number one and only a couple weeks on the chart. The chorus to this song is great, I absolutely love it. It keeps me hooked in and really shows the knack Ke$ha has for crafting ear-pleasing melodies. Peak: #1 (2 Weeks) Weeks: 5 #78 Taylor Swift - RedA beautiful song from Taylor Swift that instantly caught on for me right when it was released a promo single! Unfortunately for this song, the quick dominance of other tracks ended up making this one get lost in the shuffle somewhat. Still it's a great song with a clever chorus. Still, this isn't even in the top 5 Taylor Swift tracks of the year, which is amazing considering how good this song is! Peak: #4 Weeks: 8 #77 PSY (싸이) - What Would Have Been? (어땠을까) ft. Park Jung Hyun (박정현)The PSY domination continues with this flawless ballad collaboration. I absolutely love his raps in this song and Park really brings a mesmerising chorus here. The whole ambiance for this song is magical. This was one of the quick highlights of the album and it rose up my chart quickly. Of course, there are still two more PSY tracks that managed to best it, and you likely won't be seeing either of them for a little while. Again sorry for the pitched video here too. Peak: #3 Weeks: 10 #76 Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me MaybeYou would be surprised to see this song so high considering I've never spoken fondly of it. It's because this song has a unrepresentative chart run. Really this only charted for nine weeks; but when it became a big hit I pretty much forced it on myself to try and like this song. It didn't work, it essentially got six weeks of free points due to that. I calculated how things would have been without those six weeks, and funnily enough it would have gotten a #101 peak (which would have pushed a sixth Linkin Park track into the top 100). And that honestly would be an accurate representation for both of the songs. Peak: #7 Weeks: 15 #75 fun. - We Are Young ft. Janelle MonáeThis is a song that simply didn't have a burn rate. It was never a super smash song that I was all over, but I was fine listening to it for quite some time. It's definitely a real agreeable song and I feel this is a good spot for it to land. It stuck around for quite some time and I still can listen to it casually. It's simply not something I'd obsess over but not something where I'd wanna immediately jump to another song. fun. only has a single entry higher than this one. There is also another track with the same name as this that ranks higher this year as well! Peak: #12 Weeks: 21 (3 weeks of the 21 were spent in 2011 and not counted towards the 2012 chart) #243 on the 2011 chart#74 David Guetta - Turn Me On ft. Nicki MinajThis was another track with a similar story to the one above. It lasted a little while, but never really broke through, only scraping a top ten peak. Still this is an enjoyable song and yet another entry for the slay-machine Nicki Minaj. This is her highest entry as a featured artist, her five remaining hits are all solo entries. As for David Guetta, he's out of luck. Peak: #10 Weeks: 12 #73 Muse - MadnessHere is another song that is still charting, although it might not last too much longer. This was a song that took a long while for me to grow interested in it. Then it grew on me in a big way. However its burn factor ended up being fairly high, so it's one of those songs that I probably can revisit, but not really spam too often in the future. Still this is a good song and definitely really progressive for the band and the dubstep influences are awesome. Peak: #2 Weeks: 7 #72 Hot Chelle Rae - Why Don't You Love Me ft. Demi LovatoAn absolutely beautiful song from the band and Demi Lovato here. This is her only entry and the second highest entry from the band. The song really sounds sweet and innocent. Both the band and Demi prove very convincing here. It really feels like high school love being sung about in this song and it just comes off as really cute. A great track from them! Peak: #7 Weeks: 13 #71 Passion Pit - Take A WalkA song that is still charting! This is a really fun song from the band. I never really cared for any songs from them until I discovered this. The chorus is catchy, the verses are fun, and the lyrics a definitely tongue in cheek. This is just a good song all around. The song managed to quickly ascend the charts and is now lingering and packing on the weeks, but will it be enough to make the list next year as well? Peak: #4 Weeks: 10 Audio Snippets
