So 2008/2009 were Timbaland's years. 2010 was RedOne's.
My opinion is that Alex Da Kid will rule 2011.
Who do you think will shine a s producer of the year 2011?

lol yea 2010 at the very least belongs to Dr. Luke I don't know how one could even argue otherwise. He was responsible for some of the biggest hits of the year.

The only big hits that RedOne had this year aside from GaGa was I Like It.
I have to go with Dr Luke too, unfortunately, unless other names get mentioned I guess.

Ok guys, I guess you are right. I didn't know that Dr. Luke produced most of Ke$ha and Katy Perry's hits. So I guess 2010 was Dr. Luke's.
How about 2011? Alex Da Kid? or someone else?

Guys, could you please list some of the top records last year from Alex Da Kid and Ryan Tedder? I'm sure I know the songs, but not really that familiar with the connection to these producers. I know very well about Dr. Luke and Max Martin, of course Guetta and also Red One, but a bit less (if I take away the Gaga ones). thx!

Alex da Kid is "Hello Heartbreak" (Michelle Williams) "Massive Attack" (Nicki Minaj featuring Sean Garrett) "Airplanes" (B.o.B featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore) "Love the Way You Lie" (Eminem featuring Rihanna) "Coming Home" (Diddy-Dirty Money featuring Skylar Grey) "Castle Walls" (T.I. featuring Christina Aguilera)

With the new T.I. and Dr. Dre tracks, I feel Alex Da Kid is having a head start over the others

Airplanes and LTWYL fair enough, but there's no way they're enough to give Alex da Kid a massive 2011. It will probably be Dr. Luke again to be honest, I guess we'll see who crops up.

2011 - Howard Benson for his work with Kelly Clarkson LMAO I hope not. Dr. Luke will continue dominating, clearly.

I think 2010 was Stargate's year ("Firework," "What's My Name," "Rude Boy," "Only Girl in the World.")
Dr. Luke's is starting this year well ("What the Hell," "Hold it Against Me"), but I think Stargate's 2010 hits are far and above better than his.

Alex da Kid doesnt really have a shot at producer of 2011 because of his "formula". Rapper + girl. There's not really much room on the charts for that, whereas Dr Luke can have 5 of his charting at once. Not to mention, there is a small number of possibilities with rapper + girl.

Dr Luke will/has consistent multiple entries in the top 10, and multiple tracks on any given pop artist's album - most of which are slated for singles.

Like every year a new producer's name explodes. I don't think the quantity is as relevant as the buzz. Dr. Luke is an established producer but Alex Da Kid is on fire. Wait till the T.I./Aguilera and Dre?Eminem/Grey songs hit the airwaves. I'm sure he has other hits in the pipeline. His sound is fresh.

I never follow producers, but from the couple I know of, I love RedOne and Alex da Kid. I think ADK's on a good start for next year, he did LTWYL, Coming Home, Castle Walls and Airplanes, right? I love those all.

i don't think anyone is gonna be able to topple luke, martin and stargate. the sheer volume those three put out is unmatched. obviously alex da kid could easily have some huge hits but he'd need about ten of those to equal luke, martin or stargate. no way in hell, not gonna happen.
initially i used to think redone was about to enter that "multiple major hits" but he's been pretty lazy and hasn't come up with that much more. he'd need to up the ante to be considered as hot as he was back in 08 and 09.
so i'm going with luke and martin. stargate as a close second, mars and the smeezingtons third.

I personally hope The Runners see a little more chart success this year. They're the ones behind Rihanna's "Cheers" and "California King Bed," Usher's "Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home)," "What I Do" by Chris Brown, and "Baby Doll" and "Already Gone" by Girlicious. All pretty hot tracks if you ask me.
