Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders - Brass In Pocket P!nk - Most Girls Beyonce - Bootylicious Woah really? :o R.E.M. - Shiny Happy People Madonna - Material Girl? A Flock Of Seagulls - I Ran Lita Ford - the entire Wicked Wonderland album OH and Pat Benatar has said she she is sick of "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" and Heart doesn't perform any of their 80's stuff except "Alone", "These Dreams", and occasionally "Never" or "Even It Up". Alex Lifeson is not a fan of 80's/synth-era Rush.

Kate Bush has mentioned several times that as soon as a new album is out, she forgets about the old ones and doesn0't like them anymore. She has said this before, but maybe she has changed her mind? Still, it was a horrible thing to hear.

Dionne Warwick dislikes her biggest European hit "Heartbreaker" which was written by the Bee Gees. Dionne also dislikes "Do You Know the Way to San Jose?"

Mariah disliked Prisoner, I Don't Wanna Cry and Someday She also doesn't really like Hero, as well the Music Box album, cos she thought it wasn't her type of sound that she would like to do. Well, she was under Tommy's force at that time. She never said she hated Glitter era, but i wonder if she disliked it. Cos even she commented that Charmbracelet wasn't a bad album, but she never commented about Glitter.

Nicki Minaj doesn't like "Your Love", she said that she thought the production sounded incomplete.
I feel like Blu Cantrell started to resent "Hit Em Up Style" in like 2003 when people started blasting her as a one hit wonder.
I feel like I've read that Mary J. Blige has some disdain for some of her hits but I can't remember which.

"At the time I was trying desperately to run away from that kind of creation of what Stock Aitken and Waterman was because of where my head was at. I would grimace about it for years and years. But actually now I think it's really quite good. I like it."

^"Sometimes" is my favorite track from her.
Mimi had said that she thought Glitter had some good tracks on it. It may have been when promoting Charmbracelet.
I'm sure some acts get tired of playing certain songs after so long. In Mimi's case, she hasn't performed some of her early hits a lot at all (i.e. LTT, Someday, IDWC), so that wouldn't be a reason for her. It could be for the ones she usually performs, like "Hero."

It's my dad's favorite too. I heard Mariah doesn't like I Don't Wanna Cry because she feels there's no substance behind it, no message.

^ I heard that too but i dont think thats the case, because I Dont Wanna Cry is similiar in message and substance as alot of her other ballads about heartbreak!, i think it has more to do with the fact that she didnt have full control of that song like she always does, if it aint the way she wants it then Mimi dont like it

^Yes- most of Mimi's love songs/ballads are pretty close in theme (she did countless songs saying that she was lost without her love- it's just that something like "We Belong Together" was constructed a lot better than a number of them).
That probably is a reason Mimi may not love the older material as much as later material, but she allowed herself to be "controlled." She learned from the experience, though, I'm sure.

I'm pretty sure that "Sometimes" jab was a joke, it was just part of that rehearsed banter before the encore each night of the tour. She's said in later interviews that there's no song of her own she actually dislikes.

She's said in later interviews that there's no song of her own she actually dislikes. Yeah because she has to say that in interviews. TBH outside of that on-stage rehearsed chat and even before her breakdown I've never heard her talk down about any of her past hits. She'd sometimes cringe at her old performance clips etc but she never claimed to actually dislike any of the material itself. And I'm not saying that she wasn't told to say that in that particular interview (it was a PopJustice online interview, for those interested), I'm just going by what's on paper or in this case in cyberspace.
