I really don't see a fall release date for this. It's so soon. That would mean the lead single is like right around the corner. I guess the label really wants those holiday sales.

Soon doesn't really matter because no one ever gets tired of her and radio will literally play song after song by her. She has had pretty much non-stop singles for her entire career and 6 alone in the past less than a year, but radio will still play whatever she releases and people will buy it pounding down more #1 hits for her. She really cannot do wrong right now. Even her flop cd had one of her biggest hits of her entire career. I have liked more Rihanna music than disliked so I hope it is good.

I'm not even remotely sick of Rihanna, so bring it on gurl! Exactly, same here. I don't see the point of taking a break after such an amazing era!

As long as this isn't rushed out shit, I'm amped. The earliest stages of this project began in February, so I wouldn't worry about the material being rushed as it's being recorded in the same time restraints of all her albums (yes, even Rated R. The Rated R project was re-hauled completely in summer). However, the roll-out of the album release is gonna be something to watch I imagine. Rihanna's at a good point in her career right now. She's not built on too much hype, yet she remains a staple on the format. Loud has cleared over five million copies internationally, and her extended brand is bigger than it's ever been. The album, or rather project at that time, has been billed as "Rihanna doing a Rihanna album". There's nothing to prove, there's no big narrative, it wasn't even supposed to be an album until a few months ago. The album's process has been very relaxed and organic despite what it may look like. The choice to turn it into a full album has actually enabled Rihanna to explore with a few more up and coming producers which supposedly, Rihanna is really excited about whatever it is. I'm aware that Dragonette did some something for or already with her, and I'd love to see something come out of that. I think it's right up her alley. Really excited about the Coldplay track on their album too.

As much as I would like new material from her, I think that she should take a good long break and release late next year. She will still be relevant at that time.

Oh god NO. If she keeps releasing crap like Rated R and Loud, she won't stay around much longer.

Rated R is fantastic. Everyone must deal with this factual information.

Wow! She really pumps them out! I'm all for it though :) I'm sure I'll love it, can't wait! She signed a 7 album deal right. Maybe she is just rushing out of the contract. I think she can release an album late November/December and release a single in October. It's amazing how she can just keep going and I do hope she actually gets a #1 album this time. Hoping for a real break after the end of this new era.

YASSSS! I'm not sick of her at all either and I'm really excited for a new album! Generally speaking, the pop music scene is known for relatively fast rise and falls of certain music stars' careers, it's a more fast paced format than the others, and I applaud her for milking everything she can while she can and cement her name on the pop music scene!

'The Beginning' all over again. It's already mid september and Cheers is still climbing up while there's no sign of the new single yet. No way they could promote the album properly if they rush things like that. I don't see a fall release happening tbh. I'd rather see them push Cheers harder since the song has so much potential and then release the new single in January and the album #6 in March. It's just too soon even for her. I know this kind of overexposure have been perfectly working for her career but idk this time... I'm kinda worried for a fall release. But I'm so ready for the new era anyways

My biggest concern has been timing.
"Only Girl (In The World)" was released a year and a week ago, so it seems crazy to be talking about the next album dropping this Fall. It seems she's been recording here and there throughout the year.
Q1 2012 would be great! I'm guessing the "Loud Tour" European setlist will undergo a small revamp and it'll include some new songs. Once I hear the new music, I'll get excited.
Brazil for now and Europe for three months, my boo is doing it!

I just want her to go back to GGGB-era stuff or even Rated R (NEVER understood the hate for "Russian Roulette").

I don't want another Rated R per se, but I want something of that kind of quality and power...and darkness. I'm really drawn to dark Rihanna (RR, MD, G4L, FB). I think she both excels and pulls off that kind of song in a way that no other pop star does right now. She does sexy and fun well, too, but her darker material sets her apart.
Mostly, I just hope it's a more even album than Loud, which had a few great highs, but a lot of "meh."

It only takes a few minutes to microwave a hotpocket. She'll have a new album by the end of the year.
