I can't figure out if I like or hate "Young Forever". It sounds like a Cher Lloyd song... Roman Reloaded is about to be reloaded with a bunch of mainstream Nicki pop hits. :'( Nice prediction.

VVV definitely should've been the lead single as originally planned. It poo-poos on Starshits. I thought it was Starships? ;) Regardless, she's shipping units and certs and $hts on faves just because.;)

As far as the pop singles go, she HAS TO DO: Automatic, Young Forever, and Va Va Voom... IN THAT ORDER! She will be UNSTOPPABLE if she does them in that order! Or even as long as she makes those 3 singles, in any release order.

Hmm her rating from RS doesn't surprise me. It displays its bias toward R&B in comparison to Pop music. Just a mess. Anyway, I love Roman Holiday and Beez in the Trap.

Ok I gave the album a chance and you know what it's pretty solid but it's a bit unfocused. I think this would have worked better as a 2-Disc affair.
The solo urban tracks aren't very good. Roman Holiday is probably the most interesting solo urban track but it's ruined by terrible lyrics. HOV Lane was another track that was almost good but then it becomes way too repetitive and is again ruined by bad lyrics. Come on a Cone is just really stupid. Everyone knows how I feel about Stupid Hoe.
My favorite urban tracks are; Beez in The Trap (this is probably my favorite song on the album) Champion (Nas slayed that sh!t. future urban single please!) I am Your Leader (Camron >>>>>) Sex in the Lounge ( Does this sample Heaven by DJ Sammy because I keep wanting to sing it over this)
The pop material on this album is pretty strong sans a few tracks. She is really living up to that female Flo-Rida title.
Starships grew on me but I'm still trying to understand why it replaced Va Va Voom. I think Starships should have been regulated to a bonus track on the deluxe instead because the latter track is superior. Fire Burns is another highlight here. My favorite pop tracks are: Va Va Voom Fire Burns Young Forever Marylin Monroe
I think this album would have been better if there were only 13 tracks on the standard and 17 on the deluxe (the same format as her debut)
Either way this is much better than what I thought it would be. I wonder who's picking these singles because they should be fired.
3.5 stars out of 5

AMG gives the album 3 stars:
She taped an interview for Nightline yesterday, and it will air on Monday.

I ended up buying a copy since it has grown on me in the past few days. At my bestbuy, the lady said they were flying off the shelves and she had to get a copy from the back.

Is there a clean version of the album? im curious to hear a edited version of "Come on a cone". The expletives are just screwed instead of blanked out.

Doesn't that make her the first female rapper to have a #1 album in the UK?

lmao. I'm trying to figure that out too^
Oh and is she just mumbling/spazzing out on parts of "Roman Holiday" because I can't understand wtf she is saying especially towards the middle of the song.

Dunno if it's been said but "Marilyn Monroe" reminds me a lot of "Alone Again".
"Va Va Voom" should be a single but I have doubts since it's a bonus track. I love "Pound the Alarm" even though it sounds a lot like "Starships".
My single choices would be "Marilyn Monroe", "Pound the Alarm" and "Va Va Voom", in whichever order.

"Va Va Voom" should be a single but I have doubts since it's a bonus track. Forgot about the triple plat bonus track Super Bass already, have we? If that grating chorus was removed from Roman Holiday and if I could...exorcise that performance at the Grammys from my brain, it would be a perfect song as well as a perfect intro to the album. That spaz part makes me go nuts. For some reason, I think she is saying words and they are just well-masked. Even if not, it still sounds incredible. Not since Missy has a femcee been so adept at stringing nonsensical syllables together.

My friend was freaking out because she got this album, and I was really confused as to why she was so excited. I only JUST NOW realized that it wasn't a re-release. Is there a reason she titled it like a re-release, or no?

Is there a reason she titled it like a re-release, or no? I thought it was a re-release until just a few days before release. I think that is part of the reason I didn't buy it. It just said "Pink Friday" in the title and I just didn't feel compelled to buy it. then I starting listening and was glad I didn't...but now I'm kinda digging most of the tracks. Maybe I'll get it when it goes under $5 or something ???
