I mean $30 million with just 3 dates?!? Crazy. Basically she's the touring queen right now.

The ticket prices in the US are gonna be RIDICULOUS! Gaga puts ALOT of money into her shows. I'd rather pay hundreds to see a Gaga, Madonna, or U2, who have huge overhead costs, than money to see a cheaply, poorly put together concert by someone who thinks we (the music fans) should pay alot 'cause of their ego. Mmm, (insert cough after clearing throat) Stevie Nicks.

The ticket prices in the US are gonna be RIDICULOUS! Hmmm. If she loved her "little monsters" so, they shouldn't have to pay so much. Things that make you go 'hmmmm'.....

The Simpsons episode was great! It was so over the top. Honestly, I was second guessing whether GaGa was voicing her character because there were times where it sounded like it wasn't her at all but just the general Simpsons voice that lesser-used characters tend to have. The fact she participated in such an over-the-top episode about herself shows that she can laugh at herself and not take it all so seriously.
Meanwhile, her two latest tweets: "The Jakarta situation is 2-fold: Indonesian authorities demand I censor the show & religious extremist separately, are threatening violence If the show does go on as scheduled, I will perform the BTWBall alone."

The ticket prices in the US are gonna be RIDICULOUS! The prices will be just fine. Prices were steep but not too steep for her MSG shows last year. I'm thinking it won't really matter though. I have a friend who can't afford his rent but managed to thrown $1,000 down for a pair of Madonna tickets. He'll most likely do the same for GaGa.

If they were any cheaper she would probably go bankrupt again. Its not like its just her and a few musicians up on stage it must cost an insane amount of money to put on the show she does.

^ I think THAT is ridiculous. We all have our own priorities in life, but I do believe that personal finances and bills come before anything else.
I'm not paying more than $300 for ANY concert, period. But that's just me.

Meanwhile, her two latest tweets: "The Jakarta situation is 2-fold: Indonesian authorities demand I censor the show & religious extremist separately, are threatening violence If the show does go on as scheduled, I will perform the BTWBall alone." I hope she doesn't do it; it seems too dangerous to me. So I assume that means her dancers won't be there - she said she would perform it alone. What are everyone else's thoughts on this?

Her security is probably going nuts at the moment and it looks like she's putting up a fight to go. I agree that it is very dangerous for her to go, but she seems genuinely interested in going for the sake of her fans. Either way, it doesn't really concern me but I wonder how they would work it out without the backup dancers. It seems like the show would be a bit sub-par anyway.

Even though it would mean she disappoints her fans, calling off the Indonesia shows might be the best thing. It would be terrible if something happened to disrupt the show and concertgoers, fans, and even Gaga could get hurt.
She could always rework the show for Indonesia as an acoustic/unplugged type of show.

I too think that she should cancel the show. Even though I know security will be tight and whatnot, as a fan if I was going to the show I would still be on edge considering the threats that have been made. ---------------

I'll be honest and say I surprisingly enjoyed the Simpsons episode less than I thought I would. It was decent, nonetheless.
... of Glory? I would expect. :kii:

Lady Gaga cancels Indonesia concerts after threats of ‘chaos’ Sunday, 27 May 2012
By AFP JAKARTA
Pop diva Lady Gaga’s show in Indonesia has been cancelled, her promoters said Sunday after Islamic hardliners threatened “chaos” if she entered the world’s most populous Muslim-majority nation.
“Lady Gaga’s management has considered the situation minute to minute, and with threats if the concert goes ahead, Lady Gaga’s side is calling off the concert,” Minola Sebayang, lawyer for promoters Big Daddy, told reporters.
“This is not only about Lady Gaga’s security, but extends to those who will be watching her,” he added.
Earlier this month Jakarta police refused approval for the show after the hardline Islamic Defenders Front threatened violence if Lady Gaga performed, calling her a “devil’s messenger” who wears only a “bra and panties” on stage.
The promoters had indicated that a deal was being hammered out to tone down the star’s racy show, but her own management vowed no compromise to appease religious conservatives or censors.
Big Daddy president director Michael Rusli said it was “unfortunate” that the show had to be called off.
“For the past few days we have communicated with the government and Lady Gaga’s side. The government has given support, but this is not about the permit,” he said. “The cancellation is really due to concerns over security.”

It's horrible.
If those folks believe she's represents something evil, you can voice your opinion and have your little protest. But threats and chaos are not a good representation of your society, culture, or faith. Small minds.

This was the right decision to keep her fans safe and herself. However, I hate that terrorist threats are robbing a country of something as pure as the love of music. It is truly tragic and I will keep them in my thoughts. Gaga said she is trying to put something together special for fans there so I hope she does think of something both safe and unique.
