I'm wondering if there have been any other concerts by popular western performers there in recent years. Has Madonna ever played there, for example?

Has she begun working on the new album yet? She should release it in Fall 2012. I can't believe she would be touring North America in 2013 with an album that's been dead for over a year.

I think GaGa has moved beyond touring for single albums now. Dead or not dead, her tour is pretty well selling out.

She has been recording and we occasionally get rumors of a new cd release. It is weird timing because technically they are making boatloads off the tour so that is the priority. However, if she waits until the tour is over that may be literally 2-3 years after BTW when they probably want to establish some more hits soon and keep her musical relevance in tact.

The album hasn't been dead for over a year, LOLOLOL. It's been out for a year and has only died in recent months.

I think he meant, come 2013 when she starts touring in North America, THEN it will have been dead for a year.

Lady Gaga Tour Flap Boosts Online PresenceEarlier this month, Lady Gaga was denied a permit to perform in Jakarta, Indonesia due to security concerns, after three Islamic groups voiced strong objections to her playing there. Islamic leaders and conservative politicians both protested, saying that Gaga's concerts are "vulgar" and fearing that her show would corrupt the youth. Gaga said via Twitter that she has been asked by authorities to censor the show and she has received threats of violence from Islamic hardliners. "The Jakarta situation is 2-fold: Indonesian authorities demand I censor the show & religious extremist separately, are threatening violence," she tweeted on Tuesday, May 22. "If the show does go on as scheduled, I will perform the BTWBall alone." Now her manager, Troy Carter, has said that the singer will not tone down her act, even if it prevents her from performing in certain cities during her Asian tour. Indonesian newspaper The Straits Times quoted Carter as saying that Gaga is not "provocative for the sake of being provocative," and that she "plays the show as it is." Indonesia isn't the only Asian country where Gaga has faced some resistance during her Born This Way Ball tour. At an April show in Seoul, South Korea, protests from Christian groups forced authorities to make the concert adults-only. When she landed in Manila, Philippines on May 19, she was greeted by protestors from Christian groups deeming her music and image to be offensive. And on Thursday in Thailand, some fans were offended when Gaga tweeted that she wanted to buy a counterfeit Rolex there. "I just landed in Bangkok baby! Ready for 50,000 screaming Thai monsters," she wrote. "I wanna get lost in a lady market and buy fake Rolex." The comment sparked an online uproar as some Thai fans called it insulting and bad for the country's image. On the bright side, all of this recent controversy - along with her guest spot on The Simpsons this past Sunday - has helped Gaga jump back into the Top 10 on Billboard's Social 50 chart. The Social 50 ranks the most popular artists on YouTube, Vevo, Facebook, Twitter and MySpace, using a formula that blends weekly additions of friends and followers along with weekly artist page views and weekly song plays. On the Social 50 chart this week, Gaga experienced a 42 percent increase in fan acquisition, breaking down into 302,832 new fans on Facebook and 331,318 more followers on Twitter, according to Billboard.com.fmqb.com/article.asp?id=2463502

Lady Gaga to perform at Radio 1′s Live LoungeSourceTweets from Radio 1 Live LoungeFrom the source it says it is unknown what songs she will be performing, but one of them will supposedly be a cover and the other a song of hers. I believe on the show they require you to do a cover and then a song of your own. So, who thinks it will be her new single? It's set to be performed in September so it's a real possibility, but it may be something along the lines of what she did for You and I on Good Morning America before Born This Way was released--just a stripped piano acoustic performance of the actual album track.

Fashion Icon Lady Gaga Launches Dazzling Jewelry Collection Rodrigo Otazu, a native Argentinian who is famed among luxury jewelry designers, is collaborating with pop star Lady Gaga to create a visionary line of jewelry. Ever since she stepped on the scene Lady Gaga has been revered for her iconic fashion sense and outrageous style. Together with Otazu and creative director Nicola Formichetti, Lady Gaga will help to create a film for the Paris Fashion Week runway. Gaga will be outfitted in top fashion design and luxury accessories, custom made by Otazu, during the film which is rumored to feature a sub-Saharan post-apocalyptic type terrain. However, this is not the first time the three have collaborated. In 2010, Formicetti, Gaga, and Otazu constructed Gaga’s controversial meat dress. Otazu designed the bedazzled beef clutch and other jewelry for the outfit. The Lady Gaga collection features six Swarovski crystal necklaces which possess a tribal like quality. The line can be worn either together or separately. In addition to Gaga, Otazu has worked with celebrities such as Kylie Minogue, Beyonce, Kelis, Madonna, and Toni Braxton. - Justluxe.com

she needs to hurry up with new music, imo. I rarely hear BTW singles on the radio. It's almost always TF or TFM singles that get played, at least on my station.

Over here, Born This Way and the Edge of Glory get played a lot, along with Bad Romance and Poker Face. Those two had really massive longevity and popularity over where I am (Canada), even more so than in the U.S.

"BTW" era kinda came & went away rather quickly. My stations out here plays 'PF,' 'JD,' & 'BR' faithfully, during & after "BTW". I may get lucky & hear 'YAI' or "TEOG'.

give us another song like "You and I"
they'd sound great together on a duet like that.
also glad to see Gaga getting industry respect time and time again (even from other genres).

Indonesia's 'Little Monsters' Flock to the Site of Lady Gaga's Canceled ShowLady Gaga was never going to show up at Jakarta’s Gelora Bung Karno stadium on Sunday. But that didn’t stop dozens of fans from gathering outside the stadium for a rally against the increasing influence of Indonesia's hard-line Islamist organizations. Fans, known as “Little Monsters” placed flowers outside the stadium in a mock memorial service for “the death of freedom of expression in Indonesia.” Others staged a flash mob, dancing for seven minutes to a mix of the US pop star’s hits. “We recorded [the rally] and uploaded it to the Internet so the world can see that not all Indonesians condone violence,” said Tria Meirina, one of the organizers of Sunday’s event. Lady Gaga canceled her June 3 concert amid threats from the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), a hard-line Islamist organization. The National Police were cautious about issuing the concert a permit after the FPI threatened to storm the concert and “do what they must to stop the show.” Ravi Agustiana came to Sunday’s demonstration after spending her entire savings on a ticket. “I was so disappointed and sad when I heard that Gaga’s concert was canceled,” the 19 year-old said adding that she came on Sunday to ease the pain of not being able to see the singer live. Fia Rahmatia, of Bandung, West Java, said she spread word of the rally through the Twitter account @indoprogaga. Fia said that she was moved by Lady Gaga’s message of tolerance and equality. “What we grasp from Gaga’s [message] is that we have to be courageous, have self respect, embrace diversity and Gaga also teaches about equality,” she said. Others demonstrated outside the State Palace in Jakarta. The gay and lesbian rights group OurVoice plans to file a complaint with the Indonesian National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM) over the Gaga debacle. “This is not just about entertainment but something far more serious than that. This is an indication that we have lost our freedom,” OurVoice secretary general Hartoyo said. Hartoyo said the government should not regulate art and entertainment. “The music we hear, the books we read, the movies we watch, it is all regulated. What is this the stone age?” he asked. www.thejakartaglobe.com/home/indonesias-little-monsters-flock-to-the-site-of-lady-gagas-canceled-show/521968This made me cry so hard. This happened in Indonesia yesterday. I love you so much. You are the best fans in the world.

I'm sorry but her classic Hepburn, 50's look really doesn't suit her. Not the weird colours, not the hair style... it does nothing for her shape or anything. BLaH!

Yeah, she's definitely recording songs for one. She's always writing and recording. The question is how far along is she, and when will it come out?

Is it true that she's recording a new album? Yes, she tweeted a while ago that she can't stop writing. If I'm correct too, she'll be working with Zedd (the DJ) on the next album which means she will probably still be creating dance music. Can't wait to see what she has in store for us. :) She looks great in those pictures too.

Is it true that she's also working with Skrillex? :'( I hope that she doesn't go back to the Lovegame/Just Dance kind of songs. I want more epic songs like Poker Face, Bad Romance, Judas and Scheisse. As long as it's not recycled.
