Blasting Highway Unicorn (Road To Love), and I have to say this song is terribly underrated. What a great track.

Highway Unicorn is very underrated. Everyone seems to dislike it or ignore it, but it feels like the theme song to the entire era for me. I also like how it has really playful structural changes throughout. I think that is why I am even more excited about the tour name change, ha ha.

I don't get the love for HML and Bloody Mary but the hate for Bad Kids.

Yeah I figured it wasn't BTW material, or if it was that explains why it got kicked out haha. It wasn't BTW-esque at all.

I've been thinking about how intelligent Gaga has been with regard to developing herself as a pop icon with this era. In the beginning I wasn't very keen on the album cover, but now I realize how much it really stands out. Nobody who looks at the cover will be able to forget it as easily as they would a glamour shot; a woman-motorcycle hybrid is just totally rememberable. Above all, the woman has been extremely successful with an album that is almost the definition of anti-commercial; the entire piece of work (including EOG, which sounds really dated) has outsold a wide range of albums tailored to gain huge sales. In this sense, with this era, she has distiguished herself greatly as something special, and not just another pop fluff / rah rah ooh la laa / commercial artist, but an artist with music that really pushes the envelope. Her music videos have been totally controversial and rememberable, and even her flop single, "Judas", made a substantial impact with Youtube views (which, IMO, is an underrated source of popularity measurement that is often overlooked on this forum) rivalling Poker Face and Just Dance. In essence, I feel with this era she made a substantial leap towards becoming a musical and iconic legend, and it may only take her a few more successful eras (three or four I would say) to write herself in stone.
Regardless of how well or poorly (I'm thinking somewhere in between will be what happens) the album does from here, I'm certain that this was what Gaga intended to do with her album. I am certain that this album will make the history books in one way or another.

If she's remembered for nothing else (which is unlikely), "Born This Way" (the single) will go down in music (and possibly pop culture) history as being the most blatant, unabashed gay anthem to become a hit up to that point. Along with Glee, it really pushed the issue of gay rights into people's homes at a very critical point for gay rights.

It's meh. Obviously a demo. Sounds interesting though. I do like the basic beat to it.

It's a lot like "Teeth" with a country tinge. I don't really like it. It would have been the worst on the album (including the bonus tracks).

LMAO. What is this?
"We got mice in the kitchen, but we don't care cause we in love" "I bought you some hippie s**t from the deli down the stairs"
This is probably going to be stuck in my head, though. xD

This song is a big fucking mess. If Gaga was really serious about giving away a full unreleased song, it should have been something much better than this. It sounds like something Ke$ha would do if she could sing and went a little cuntry.
No thanks.

MESS. She was completely out of tune on the chorus. Why did she even release this to the public? I'm baffled.

Everyone is seriously overreacting. Were you expecting a smash track? She obviously would have put it on Born This Way if it were that good...
And she cut it in 1 sing through.

Just because a few people choose to voice their opinion and say "oh it's a big mess", let them. It should not offend those who do like/love it. Some act like it's an act of war or a personal attack on them if someone just does not like it and will continue to voice this same tired drivel page after page. For those who are casual fans, this sort of demeanor turns them off and gives the good, reasonable fans a bad name.

OMG! This song that DIDN'T make the album and was released just for fun, and recorded while she as drunk in 1 take is fucking AWFUL. Waste of time, OMG, what was she thinking?
In all seriousness, its alright. I could see it growing on me.

I don't really like it. I'm still happy/ grateful she let it out though. unlike most I prefer gaga cranking out electro dance hits, not her stripped down stuff.

Be happy or grateful she gave us something for Christmas. What did your other favorite artists give you? Nothing. Some people are so ungrateful. Did you expect her and Interscope to give you a smash single?

On to other topics, I know a lot of the general public is tired of all the preachy, political, underlying messages in GaGa's new material. I for one, don't mind it because I'd rather have quality music than a song that's all about going to the club and getting drunk, but I think it definitely makes you think what her next releases should be. I think while 'Hair' is an obvious radio friendly choice, it's still very preachy and I'm not sure if the general public would look past that when it comes to it's potential to be a hit. I have a feeling that something like 'Scheiße' would perform better as the next single- though it has a strong feminist message, it's not as in your face with the preachy message, and has a strong dance beat. The song reminds me a lot of 'The Fame Monster' GaGa, and I think a lot of people would appreciate that, plus it's a fan favorite.
GaGa has also been recording material, and is already working on her "next album". She already has some songs done, with plenty of time left to work on more material. I think the smart thing to do with this massive world tour that she will be taking on, would be to release an EP like she did with The Fame/Fame Monster. Title it something like "Reborn This Way" and have 6-8 new songs. That'd keep new material out to promote during the long tour, and she'd have plenty of time to work on her follow up studio album to release after she's off tour.
With that in mind, I would personally finish the singles like this:
o5. Marry The Night (November-January) o6. Scheiße (Radio Mix) (February-May) o7. Hair (Edit- no wailing) (May-August)
**Reborn This Way EP 1st single (November)
