It's catchy, but also grating in a way that I almost never find Lily's music. Not so much into that, but still loving "Hard Out Here" and can't wait for the album.

Reminds me a lot of Paper Planes by MIA, not sure if this its supposed to be like that, its catchy as hell though! I totally noticed the MIA similarities when I first heard this yesterday. I was wondering if maybe MIA had written the song, but she didn't.

New album titled "Sheezus""It's a confident title choice - and a little nod to Kanye West," Allen says on tonight's (February 21) episode of The Graham Norton Show. The album will feature Allen's 2013 single 'Hard Out Here', as well as forthcoming release 'Air Balloon'. What's more, the star's new track 'L8 CMMR' - which features on the Girls Vol. 2 soundtrack - is also expected to be included. Allen's new album Sheezus serves as the follow-up to 2009's It's Not Me, It's You, which topped the UK chart and reached number five in the US. Song titles so far confirmed:"Hard Out Here" "Air Balloon" "Chipping Norton" "I Don't Mind Babe" "Because You Know I Love You" "Insincerely Yours" "Some People" "Tequila" (featuring. Naughty Boy) "There's No Bass Like Home""L8 CMMR" (unknown if it's on the album) "The Life for Me" (unknown if it's on the album)

Sheezus is available for pre-order in the UK, where you get an instant download of the track "Our Time". There are two versions ( Standard and Bonus Track) of the album. As expected, her cover of Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know" is included on both versions, as well as "L8 Cmmr", which is featured on Girls, Vol. 2: All Adventurous Women Do... (Music From the HBO® Original Series) soundtrack. | | Standard Version | Bonus Track Version |
Tracklist:Standard Version:1. "Sheezus" [*] 2. "L8 Cmmr" [*] 3. "Air Balloon" 4. "Our Time" [*] 5. "Insincerely Yours" [*] 6. "Take My Place" 7. "As Long As I Got You" 8. "Close Your Eyes" [*] 9. "URL Badman" [*] 10. "Silver Spoon" [*] 11. "Life For Me" 12. "Hard Out Here" 13. "Untitled" [+] 14. "Somewhere Only We Know" (Bonus Track) Bonus Track Version:1. "Sheezus" [*] 2. "L8 Cmmr" [*] 3. "Somewhere Only We Know" (Bonus Track) [*] Labeled as explicit and weird to see that "Hard Out Here" isn't. [+] No idea if this is the proper title of the song or if it will be renamed. ETA: The album release has moved up from May 26 to May 5.

Not too big on "L8 Cmmr" (yet?) but "Our Time" seems nice from the preview. Definitely interested in this album. Love the artwork.

YAS that standard edition cover. The title is also fantastic, I'm so excited for this. Also, very pleased to see "L8 Cmmr" and "Somewhere Only We Know" on there so I can clean up my iTunes a bit.

Love her!! And I really like all songs so far! If the rest of the songs on the album are less pop and more like "It's Not Me, It's You" it would also be fine by me! She can do no wrong

I have not liked any of the singles so far, which is a shame because The Fear is possibly one of the best singles of the decade.

I don't know, I don't like her throwing the singles/her work under the bus like that. Own it. Just say "maybe that stuff is more commercial/mainstream but I still like it for what it is, but my favorite stuff lies on the album". You know?

I, for one am very glad she kept it real. This is why i could not be in the music industry. The money is fab, but I'd go mad being a puppet.

I don't understand. If she doesn't like the songs: 1. why write them? 2. why record them? 3. why put them on the album?. Is the record company putting a gun against her head to write crappy songs? And please, the songs are FAR from being radio-ready songs, so it's not like they are super thrilled with the multiple #1 possibilities...

Her new songs have been sort of crappy to me. Like songs that could be Cher Lloyd album tracks. I guess I can see why maybe she would record a few of those for her label in exchange for releasing the type of whole cd she wants. Still not sure it is a good tactic to admit you know your single(s) suck lol.

I find this attitude somewhat insulting to all the people who have enjoyed the music so far and supported her, as if we're proles who enjoy the factory processed crap that she only puts out because she has to.

I am so excited for this album. I don't even care if she doesn't like her own singles. Both "Hard Out Here" and "Air Balloon" are great. Loved It's Not Me, It's You, and I'm loving what I'm hearing so far.

This was how I felt after she tweeted that. Like, I understand if you don't think these songs are the best you've ever done, but people are obviously enjoying them, and you're trying to sell an album based on them, so why not just be supportive? I respect her a lot for her honesty, but that could have been worded MUCH better.

While I enjoy her music, persona and honesty I find her to be a bit pretentious as she ends up doing exactly what she makes fun of. Perhaps her doing what every other pop girl does and then making fun of it is part of her plan and I'm just too stupid to get it.
