Here's a bonus acoustic performance of I Choose You that she did for Jimmy Fallon. Sounds flawless as usual.

Randomly purchased Kaleidoscope Heart and The Blessed Unrest, and very glad I did. From the newest album, my favorites are definitely "Little Black Dress," "Brave," "I Choose You," and "Cassiopeia."

How is "I Choose You" not a mega hit??? It's literally one of the best songs I've ever heard!

As I heard Brave for the 3 millionth time, I wondered what is it with her follow-up singles' inability to take off. They don't even become minor hits; I've yet to hear ICY once!
Sidebar: I didn't realize Brave peaked at only #23; I could've sworn it got much closer to the top-10 on Hot 100 judging by its ad nauseum airplay out here.

I think it's because it takes her first singles so long to take off and because they usually involve crossing over to other formats that the label isn't willing/not interested/would rather wait to promote a second single anywhere until the first is finished. I don't think they've ever done the dual single route (second single to AAA then Hot AC while working first single at Pop after it already finished at AAA and Triple A) and I don't know why.

^I don't either. I guess they're content with her being a 1-hit wonder per album since she's a strong download seller.

Fantastic cover! She slayed those high notes!!! I also like how she completely changed the feel of the song.

Did anyone go to the first of two MSG shows last night? It was pretty awesome and I think it was even better than her Radio City show last year in October, I think it was. She just keeps on topping herself every time I see her. The addition of the cello and the violin gave the songs a lot more oomph especially Gravity. I thought it was interesting that she only played two songs from Kaleidoscope Heart and she didn't play the first KH song until more than halfway through her set. I was so disappointed that she didn't play Cassiopeia and A Thousand Times, but I did enjoy the En Vogue and Sia covers. I'm not familiar with the Sia song (yes, I know it's everywhere), but I thought she slayed the notes on that thing. DAMN!
Of course, she was on top form with the cursing even though there were quite a few young kids in the audience, lol. She even talked to two six-year olds and tried to hook them up, hahahaha. Gotta love her stories and babbling in between songs. So precious.
Also, Jason Mraz and Raining Jane were in the audience and my friend and I saw Tegan or Sara before the concert started walking from one end of the theater to the other end. I'm going to assume she was also there for the concert. And there was a Broadway guy there whose name escapes me now.
Overall, it was a fantastic concert and one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Wish I could go to tonight's show again.

It's hardly too late. The album spent some time back in the iTunes top 10 thanks to sale pricing!

I know it's a long shot but I'd personally love for her to release Eden.

I really think Chasing the Sun could be the third single!
There is no end to my frustration with the way Sara is continually denied true commercial success. (Whether its from fans, or the label, or whoever) I just get upset that she hasn't had a big breakthrough. She's so talented, and the fact that Brave was everywhere and still only made it to 23 on the Hot 100 was absurd.
She's had some hits, but only 5 Hot 100 appearances over 3 albums is depressing. :(

That was a gorgeous, though somber, performance of "Smile" last night:

I really don't understand, either, why Sara hasn't had more success. People rave about her singing, she does pretty well on tour, she performs flawlessly at award shows... I really don't know what radio is waiting for. I know that she doesn't make club bangers and she sings about stuff other than sex, love, and drinking, but she clearly had people going for her with Brave. I really don't know who is to blame for her continued difficulty breaking through.

Sara and Cyndi Lauper have mashed two of their songs together, to create a song to raise money for the fight against pediatric cancer. The music video for "Truly Brave" features young cancer patients from The Childrenβs Hospital of Philadelphia.

I wonder if she'll release a 3rd single, even if it doesn't go to radio (a la "Gravity" & "Gotta Get Over You")?
