Yup. Interscope ****ed everything up tbh, it's not even close to being Nelly's fault because she delivered a stunning pop album(but that obviously doesn't matter when it all comes down to promo/popularity/relevance). She deserves better than this. :'(

I don't get sales being this low though. I mean, like...artists like Hanson who haven't had a hit in 12+ years and are releasing independent cds basically from their basement are doubling or tripling what she sold. Like, there were not 6K fans somewhere left over from the Loose era? I expected a massive flop, but more like, 10K or something.

I'm not that surprised with Nelly Furtado's (lack of) numbers.

Glad Carly managed to get a decent peak! I would have preferred a Top 5 placement, but I'm fine with what she got. Hopefully it ends up having some legs after the singles have more success. Terrible numbers for Nelly. :(

Nelly's album is dated, boring, uninspired, out of touch and lazy. She waited five years since her last hit to release it and promoted it with a joke of a lead single. I'm not surprised by her numbers and I don't think they're undeserved.
Carly actually should be doing better, but again I'm not surprised she's not.

11 11 ADELE XL/COLUMBIA 26,164 +21% 21
31 28 MUMFORD & SONS GLASSNOTE 14,566 +33% SIGH NO MORE
Happy to see these increase. Sigh No More should increase even more next week with their 2nd album out! Perhaps it'll go on to sell over 3 million by the end of their second album campaign? :)

I wouldn't be surprised to see Nelly tosneak in the 40s. Hits is not reliable in bottom of the Top 50.Last week for example, they had the Pet Shop Boys outside the Top 50 and they ended up #44. They also had Mint Condition at #47 and they ended up at #60 on Billboard. Regardless of where she charts, it will be too low for such a great album.

Nelly's (non-existant) numbers aren't really surprising. I mean after the push-back and the downright non-existent U.S. promo it was expected her album would flop. She flopped just as hard as Natasha Bedingfield did with her last album. I wonder if the label will make her rush-release a new album with Dr. Luke and producers that are hot at pop radio right now so they can make back their investment? Then again it dosen't seem like they invested that much money in the album in the first place.

At least Natasha's album was really good. :'( Yeah it sucks that Natahsa's album flopped it's my favorite Natasha album. I felll like they led it off with the wrong songs."Touch" seemed to take off really fast then it just peaked. They probably should have released "All I Need"

Is that the first Glee album to miss the top ten? Or was there one last season? At any rate it's nice to see that fad winding down.

No surprise for Nelly.
With a horrible singles like Big Hoops and Parking lot, no one would buy her album.

It was obvious that Bad would appear, at least on SS. Top ten -ish is quite nice as it's not as iconic as Thriller (yet better imo)
Who else can reach top ten with an updated version of a 25 year old album which is not even his career defining one?

It kind of is a surprise, at least for me. It's not like Nelly is a no name. Sure, it was six years ago since her last hot album but she's recognizable with her name, look and voice and she's had several successful eras in the past. It just seems odd to me that the album couldn't have at least made it to #48 or something.

If so, I doubt she'll rush-release a Dr. Luke-filled album. She'll take her regular time of 3 years for the next album. Fingers crossed it'll appear on the BB200.

It still makes no sense, even if her music sucked balls, even with no promotion, with nothing at all, even if she was releasing through an independent label...It just doesn't make sense that she's sold less than 6k when 6 years ago she had the best selling album of the year. There's gotta be some reasoning behind this. One would have guessed she'd still have some leftover fans from the Loose era, no? I don't think I have ever seen a major mainstream artist sell under 6k. This is all so weird.

Two words: six years.
Back in the day Hilary Duff was still relevant, Lindsay Lohan had a pop career and High School Musical was a hit.
