Top Singles30. Calvin Harris ft. Ne-Yo- Let's Go This song is often criticized for being too generic. This I agree with. It is easily the most generic Top 10 hit of 2012. The production is great but predictable, and the lyrics are nothing special, but Ne-Yo's vocals allow me to completely ignore the negatives. This man can sing anything and make it sound good. Great song! "It's not about what you've done, it's about what you doing."29. Katy Perry- Wide Awake Katy Perry's eighth and final single from Teenage Dream takes a completely new route. The song is very slow, and it seems to be a love it or hate it song. I love it, of course. Katy's vocals are great, and the lyrics are actually pretty good too. That pre chorus is absolute perfection. This is the first single from her that didn't seem forced since "E.T.". "Gravity hurts, you made it so sweet until I woke up on, on the concrete."28. Kanye West ft. Big Sean, Pusha T & 2 Chainz- Mercy Like "Boyfriend", I thought this song was stupid at first. After a few listens though, I came to love it. The rappers give decent raps, but they're actually catchy, especially Kanye's verse. The chorus (which I finally understand ) and the beat add to the quality of the song. "Most rappers' taste level ain't at my waste level."27. Gym Class Heroes ft. Ryan Tedder- The Fighter Everyone hates this song, but I don't care, because I'm obsessed. "The Fighter" oftens gets compared to Far East Movement's "Rocketeer", but that's a positive to me, because "Rocketeer" was even more amazing. Travie's raps are good, but Ryan's chorus is simply flawless. I don't even find it that generic "Give 'em hell, turn their heads, gonna live life till we're dead."26. Cher Lloyd ft. Becky G- Oath Cher Lloyd's second US single is a huge change from the humorous "Want U Back". "Oath" is an anthem to friendship. This type of song is never found on radio anymore, so it's a nice thematic change. Also, the chorus is amazing, and Cher and Becky both deliver great raps. "Laughing so damn hard, crashed your dad's new car, all the scars we shared, I promise, I swear."25. Ne-Yo- Let Me Love You (Until You Learn to Love Yourself) This is the second song that Ne-Yo wrote called "Let Me Love You", so he added the obnoxiously long parenthesis that challenges and possibly beats "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together". Title aside, this song is fantastic. The beat is great, the lyrics are fantastic, and the vocals are flawless. I'm glad this song could help contribute to Ne-Yo's comeback. "I just wanna be the one to remind you what it is to smile."24. Bridgit Mendler- Ready or Not Bridgit Mendler is the latest Disney Channel star trying to break into the pop world. The least successful so far, Bridgit is, however, the most distinct. She has almost a reggae-folk vibe in her pop songs, and works incredibly! "Ready or Not" is a great debut single that I found myself singing along to all the time. "I like your face, do you like my song?"23. Chris Brown- Turn Up the Music This song doesn't have much substance to it. It's just a great dance song. Chris's voice is as great as always, and everything about this song is infectious. I wish it had been the album's big hit, rather than "Don't Wake Me Up". "If you sexy and you know it, put your hands up in the air."22. Lil Wayne ft. Bruno Mars- Mirror This song can smash any other Lil Wayne song into the ground. It is freaking fantastic! For once, Weezy raps about something real and meaningful. I actually really enjoy his introspective lyrics. And Bruno Mars kills the chorus. This song is just so memorable, and definitely should have done something on radio. "And no message could've been any clearer, so I'm starting with the man in the mirror... MJ taught me that."21. Selena Gomez and the Scene- Love You Like a Love Song I was pretty disappointed with this single at first. I thought it was too repetitive, but as I grew to love Selena, I grew to love this song, and it became the most successful song ever on my chart at that point. Selena's voice and the lyrics are fantastic! The melody is really catchy as well. "There's no way to describe what you do to me, you just do to me what you do."- Top Albums15. Flo Rida- Wild OnesI've always like Flo Rida's albums. Back when he was a legit rapper, he made good rap albums. Now that he's a legit pop star, he makes great pop albums! Wild Ones is a short album, with only nine songs on the standard edition, but it's still an amazing album! Flo's success has skyrocketed this year. He can now smash with anything, when before he struggled for two hits from one album. Listening to Wild Ones almost feels like you're listening to the radio. Everything is a contender to be the next smash! Flo Rida has developed a formula where he samples older or lesser known songs for his hooks, and turns them into hit dance songs. The formula has been flawfree so far, so hopefully it continues that way. My only complaint about this album, however, is that it made my OCD murder me over Only One Rida (Part Two) never being released Favorite Songs--"Whistle" -"Wild Ones" -"Good Feeling" -"I Cry" -"Run" 14. B.o.B- Strange CloudsB.o.B was one of the biggest new artists of 2010. I liked all of his singles, and his album was pretty good too. This time around though, I love all of his singles, and his album is great. "Strange Clouds" and "So Good" were flawless lead singles leading into a great album. Every track was memorable. I remembered each melody after just one listen! The album is filled up with guests (even Morgan F**king Freeman is here!!) but B.o.B never feels overshadowed. His raps are great, and he's one of the only remaining rappers that doesn't just rap about money and bitches. His material is great, and it's ashame that his commercial success is declining, because this album deserves so much more. Favorite Songs--"So Good" -"Strange Clouds" -"Never Let You Go" -"Where Are You" -"Arena" 13. Rihanna- UnapologeticI had high hopes for this album. My album rankings for Rihanna strangely align with my lead single rankins. "Diamonds" being my second favorite lead Rih single after "Russian Roulette", which led into my favorite Rih album, Rated R, I was expecting Unapologetic to be incredible. And I was right. Rihanna has been rush releasing albums like it's no big deal, and they haven't exactly been the best in quality. This latest album actually feels like Rihanna put some serious effort into it. There's plenty of experimenting and genre crossing, and it all works. There actually isn't much in terms of hit single potential though, but that's okay because Unapologetic is right up there with Rated R. I expect her flawless masterpiece album to be next :), but this will more than suffice for now! Favorite Songs--"Jump" -"Diamonds" -"Numb" -"Nobody's Business" -"Right Now" 12. Ed Sheeran- +I didn't think I would like + that much. I liked "The A Team", but I didn't think I could live with an entire album of folk-leaning slow songs like that one. Well I didn't have to. Ed Sheeran is much more complicated artist than I thought. His songs contain pop, folk, alternative, AC, and rap...yes...rap! Ed is a fantastic rapper! He really spits fire on "You Need Me, I Don't Need You", one of the album's highlights. Ed's songwriting skills are amongst the best in the business, and easily the best amongst rookies. One of my favorite lyrics in the album is "And I'm up and coming like I'm f**king in an elevator". This simple humor is touched throughout the album. The songs never get boring, and overall, + is a fantastic album. Favorite Songs--"Lego House" -"You Need Me, I Don't Need You" -"The A Team" -"Give Me Love" -"Grade 8" 11. Jason Aldean- Night TrainI'm not too big on country albums. They often feel really repetitive. Jason Aldean's Night Train is just as repetitive as its peers, but the difference is that these songs are amazing! I like Aldean for incorporating more than just a pure country sound into his music. He is very rock-based, and has also flirted with pop and rap. Aldean's voice is great and distinct, and it fits in perfectly with every song on the album. Also, about half of the songs could probably smash on country radio! I never expected for Taylor Swift to not have my favorite country album of the year, but that was before Jason Aldean crafted this flawless album! Favorite Songs--"Staring at the Sun" -"The Only Way I Know" -"Night Train" -"Take a Little Ride" -"This Nothin' Town" - Singles #20-11 will be up tomorrow! We have reached the Top 10 albums! Any guesses as to what made it, and who the Top 10 artists are? Stay tuned!

Top Singles20. Usher- Scream Usher's first mainstream single from Looking 4 Myself is influenced by "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love". While many may think this makes it too generic, I actually think it stands out pretty well. The song is insanely catchy, even more than "DJ" in my opinion, and Usher's vocals are fantastic. This was my favorite track from the album, which says a lot because 5 singles reached the Top 10. Fantastic dance song! "And I try to fight it, to fight it, but you're so magnetic, magnetic."19. Jay-Z & Kanye West- Ni**as in Paris This song is just so...awesome! The production, especially at the end, is incredible, and the raps are amazing. The song doesn't actually have a true chorus. Instead, each rapper has their own hook at the end of their verse, both of which are amazing. The song is so infectious, and the Will Ferrell sample from Blades of Glory is hilarious. The shake up at the end of the song is great. Really, the whole song is great. "Nobody knows what it means but it's provocative... It gets the people going!"18. Karmin- Hello Karmin is so unique. This song interpolates "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana, and is flawlessly woven into a flawless chorus. Amy's raps are fantastic as well. The song is so catchy, and it never got old. I like this song a lot more than "Brokenhearted", which I loved as well. I wish it had sold better though :( Not really much to say about this song, except that it's amazing! "Am I gonna quit? Nice of you to ask but..."17. Taylor Swift- Eyes Open One of two songs Taylor Swift recorded for The Hunger Games soundtrack, this one served as the radio single. "Eyes Open" is unlike anything Taylor has ever recorded. It isn't country at all, and is a pop song with alternative rock influences. It really works for her, and she must have thought so too, because Red has a lot of the same influences. Thematically, this song is flawless, and coupled with "Safe & Sound", Taylor captures the whole essense of The Hunger Games perfectly. This song was so instant for me, reaching #1 in only its second week, though it had a slight burn rate. Fantastic song! "Keep your feet ready, heartbeat steady, keep your eyes open."16. Boys Like Girls- Be Your Everything For the most part, I like Boys Like Girls. Their power pop anthems, such as "The Great Escape" and "Love Drunk" are pretty good, but their ballads, such as "Two Is Better Than One" are amazing! This song, however, is flawless! The vocals, the lyrics, the melody, the production, the emotion, the sincerity, everything! This song unfortunately went pretty much unknown, making little impact on pop radio, and barely selling anything. It's such a shame, because this is easily their best song. Flawless. "Four letter word, but I don't have the guts to say it."15. Maroon 5 ft. Wiz Khalifa- Payphone I was obsessed with this when it came out. The song has a mid-tempo vibe, and the chorus to it is fantastic. The lyrics are beautiful, and Adam's vocals are amazing. Like in "Wide Awake", the pre-chorus makes this song. It only peaked at #2 on both the Hot 100 and my chart, but it felt like a #1 on both, becoming one of the biggest hits of the year on both. The only flaws are the dated payphone thing and Wiz Khalifa's unnecessary rap. "And in our time that you wasted, all of our bridges burned down."14. Taylor Swift ft. The Civil Wars- Safe & Sound Taylor Swift's other song for The Hunger Games soundtrack, this lead promotionalsingle is absolutely chilling. It fits the theme of The Hunger Games perfectly. It provides the perfect soundtrack to Rue's death scene or the first scene with Katniss and Prim. The lyrics are fantastic, some of the best I've heard all year. The vocals, especially the background vocals by The Civil Wars, are haunting. The production is simple, but exactly what it needs to be. Flawless song. "Don't you dare look out your window darling, everything's on fire."13. Drake ft. Nicki Minaj- Make Me Proud This song was instant, and hands down, Drake's best single. The chorus is the best he's ever done. It's so infectious! And his verse is really good too. He actually isn't rapping about sex, and is prasing a girl for remaining a good girl. Nicki's verse is good, but it doesn't fit in. I actually think it would have been better with a second verse from Drake, because Nicki didn't really seem to get the theme. Anyway, this song is fantastic, and it kills me that this was the least successful of Take Care's four major singles, and the only one that did close to nothing on pop. "I know things get hard, but girl you got it, girl you got it, there you go."12. Flo Rida- Whistle When I first heard this song through iTunes, I thought it was just a fantastic promo single. Little did I know, it would become the biggest seller on the album! It seemed too slow for pop, but it's actually a nice mid-tempo change of pace, especially for Flo Rida. The lyrics are disgusting, but that makes it even better, because the tempo makes it sound like a love song, and it's hilarious to hear people none the wiser singing along :kii: I was obsessed with this song before it became an official single, and continued to love it throughout its entire run. "Let me see you whistle while you work it."11. Maroon 5- One More Night I actually hated this song a lot at first. I found annoying and boring. I saw no possibility of it being a smash, and didn't even expect Top 10. My Official #1 Flop Prediction of the Year. I eventually came to love this song, and it rocketed to #1 on my chart. The chorus, especially at the end, is infectious, and I love the reggae-vibe to the song. "Try to tell you 'No', but my body keeps on telling you 'Yes'."- We have reached the Top 10 singles, albums, and artists! I will do Artists #10-4 in a few hours, followed by Albums #10-4 and possibly Songs #10-4 later tonight, depending on how much time I have. Tomorrow, I'll announce the Top 3 in each category! Any Top 10 guesses?

Top Artists 10. Demi Lovato Demi Lovato charted at #1 with "Give Your Heart a Break." Yup. That song's performance alone was enough to get her to #10. One more single could have easily propelled her into the Top 5. Oh well Anxiously awaiting Demi's new single 9. Kanye WestKanye West charted at #1 with "Ni**as in Paris" and "Mercy", #22 with "Gotta Have It", and #47 with "Clique". Kanye's GOOD Music collaboration album, Cruel Summer, is in my Top 50 albums. He may be an asshole, but he's one of the most creative talents out right now. 8. Maroon 5Adam LevineMaroon 5 charted at #1 with "One More Night", #2 with "Payphone", #15 with "Wipe Your Eyes", and has so far reached #35 with "Daylight". Overexposed is in my Top 30 albums. Maroon 5 have had a killer year, on both my chart and the official charts. 7. Selena Gomez & the Scene Selena Gomez and her irrelevant band reached #1 with "Love You Like a Love Song" and "Hit the Lights". Selena is one of my favorite singers, and I really want her to get rid of The Scene (it was just a hiatus unfortunately :(), because all they do is take up space. Anxiously awaiting Selena's next single as well 6. Drake Drake reached #1 late last year with "Headlines" and "Make Me Proud", and this year with "The Motto". "Take Care" reached #3, "Crew Love" reached #35 and "HYFR" reached #40. Drake is one of my favorite rappers, capabale of creating both rap and R&B and being amazing at both! 5. The Wanted Josh's favorite group, The Wanted, reached #1 with "Glad You Came" and "Chasing the Sun", #13 with "Warzone", #19 with "Heart Vacancy", #25 with "Gold Forever", #29 with "I Found You", and #35 with "Lose My Mind". The Wanted is in my Top 50 albums. This boy band has released flawless material so far, and I can't wait for their true debut US album! 4. Usher Usher charted at #2 with "Scream", #6 with "Climax", #9 with "Dive", #10 with "Lemme See" and "Numb", and #27 with "Euphoria". Looking 4 Myself is in my Top 50 albums. Usher is my favorite R&B singer, and he is the only artist to score 5 Top 10s from one album. - Albums #10-4 will be coming later tonight. :) The Top 3 Artists will be posted tomorrow!

Top Albums 10. Carly Rae Jepsen- KissDon't get me wrong, I love this album, hence its Top 10 placement, but Carly Rae's breakthrough album can feel a little generic at times. "Call Me Maybe", which challenges "Somebody That I Used to Know" as the biggest hit of the year, was a huge grower for me. It lasted over 30 weeks in the Top 40, never passing #16. I also loved "Good Time" and "This Kiss", which captures the whole album best of the three singles. While it is very generic, I actually see why she only got two successes. The songs just don't sound like hits. Nevertheless, the songs are fantastic. There are no duds, not even "Beautiful" with mentor JB. A few songs with a bit more substance would have made this a flawless album, but it's still great as it is. Favorite Songs--"More Than a Memory" -"Your Heart Is a Muscle" -"Call Me Maybe" -"Tiny Little Bows" -"Hurt So Good" 9. Pitbull- Global WarmingThis is actually the second year in a row where Pitbull had one of my Top 10 albums. I swear, this guy is fantastic. I don't just like, I love every song on both Planet Pit and Global Warming. They sound like they could be Greatest Hits and Greatest Hits II because nearly every song is radio friendly. Like Carly's album, there really isn't much substance though. It's a great dance album, but you don't really get much out of it. The songs are all great though! Favorite Songs--"Feel This Moment" -"Get It Started" -"Hope We Meet Again" -"Party Ain't Over" -"Have Some Fun" 8. MGK- Lace UpI first heard white rapper MGK on Ester Dean-featured single "Invincible" and loved it! I then heard "Wild Boy" and was really impressed with his rapping ability. MGK became really popular amongst all of the guys in my school, so this album was a big deal for everyone. And we all loved it! MGK is a phenominal rapper. His lyrics are really good, he can rap incredibly fast, and the songs all even have catchy, infectious choruses. There are a few duds, but the other songs more than make up for them. This is a fantastic album, and while he might not be the next Eminem, he is sure to get some major success in the near future. Favorite Songs--"Runnin'" -"Warning Shot" -"Invincible" -"What I Do" -"Edge of Destruction" 7. Imagine Dragons- Night VisionsThis album was originally going to rank just outside the Top 40. Overtime, I've been coming to love it more and more until it made its way all the way here to #7! This band is just awesome! Their music is alt-rock, but it incorporates pop and folk elements as well in a way I've never really heard before. And all of their music is different too. For example, lead singles "It's Time" and "Radioactive" are both fantastic, but completely different songs. This is exactly what I've been locking for in terms of alt-rock groups. They're just so amazing, and this album is flawless! Favorite Songs--"Radioactive" -"It's Time" -"Demons" -"Every Night" -"Tiptoe" 6. Bridgit Mendler- Hello My Name Is...I'll admit that I thought Bridgit Mendler would be just a poor antempt by Disney to turn their current popular girl into a generic pop star. I just didn't think she had it in her. However, Bridgit is probably their least generic attempt yet! Of course, that also translates to least successful Bridgit incorporates a reggae and folk sound into her generally pop music. There actually isn't a generic song on here. They all have substance. And her singing voice is actually really good! "Ready or Not" proved to be a decent success, but I hope she can eventually get a smash and join the ranks of Miley, Demi and Selena, because she's just as good! Favorite Songs--"Forgot to Laugh" -"Ready or Not" -"Top of the World" -"Hurricane" -"Rocks at My Window" 5. Justin Bieber- BelieveAt first, I was slightly disappointed with Believe, but I came to realize that was only because I'm a big fan of the old Bieber. However, this new Bieber is even better! I can't even view them as the same person anymore. New Bieber is a pure pop star! The new JT. This album has surefire hits, plus other potential successes, and other examples of experimentation. It's such a diverse album. He tackles old-school MJ on "Die in Your Arms" and later MJ on "Maria", which is actually based on a real life event of Justin's. He also tackles dubstep, rap, dance pop and R&B. Justin is shaping up to be the ultimate superstar and this album, which includes the flawless masterpiece, "As Long As You Love Me", is just the beginning! Favorite Songs--"As Long As You Love Me" -"Believe" -"Beauty and a Beat" -"All Around the World" -"Take You" 4. The Wanted- The WantedOkay I lied. I said Karmin's Hello was the only EP on the list, but there's kinda this too. It is an EP, but the deluxe edition is actually an album. This is basically a Greatest Hits collection. The standard EP is all of The Wanted's hits plus new songs "Chasing the Sun" and "Satellite". The deluxe edition of the album adds their other less successful singles. Honestly though, they all deserved to smash! This album is literally flawless. The worst song is "Rocket" and I even love that song! I actually listened to this album 30 times! I expect their true US debut album to be just as amazing, because this one is absolutely perfect! Favorite Songs--"Warzone" -"Heart Vacancy" -"Glad You Came" -"Chasing the Sun" -"Lose My Mind" - Songs #10-4 will be posted tomorrow morning! The Top 3 Albums will be posted later on tomorrow!

I've decided to do dedications for the Top 10 songs like josh :) Top Singles10. The Wanted- Glad You Came This song was pretty instant for me, but it took a while before it hit #1 on my chart. It's such a great song that never really gets old. There's not much to it, but that's okay, because it's meant to be a great dance song, which it is. The pre-chorus is very creative with its layout. Fantastic song! "Turn the lights out now, now I'll take you by the hand, hand you another drink, drink it if you can.""Glad You Came" is dedicated to sthomas90, for being my favorite poster to arrive since I joined. 9. B.o.B- So Good This song is just all kinds of flawless. It praises a girl for more than sex, so thematically it's good. The lyrics reference all sorts of Renaissance culture, showing a very intellectual side to B.o.B. The actual rapping is great. All these things aside though, the chorus is fantastic! One of the best and most beautifully sung melodies, which is backed by Ryan Tedder, that I've heard all year! The perfect climax to a perfect era for B.o.B (song-wise, of course it flopped ). "I'll be Da Vinci if you'll be my Mona Lisa, so smile.""So Good" is dedicated to Xivii, for being such a good poster and Mafia Mod. 8. The Wanted- Chasing the Sun I never thought The Wanted would release a follow up to "Glad You Came" that I actually liked more than its flawless predecessor, but would you look at that... "Chasing the Sun" is so catchy, and such an amazing song. There isn't much to it, but the vocals, especially from Max, are fantastic! Flawless follow-up that deserved to hit the Top 10. "When the daylight's fading, we're gonna play in the dark till it's over again.""Chasing the Sun" is dedicated to ry4n for no reason other than you deserve a dedication :) 7. Ke$ha- Die Young When this song came out, I liked it enough to debut in my Top 40, but eventually I started to love it! This is my favorite Ke$ha single to date. It's so unique compared to everything she has released before, and it works so well! The vocals and raps are great, and the production is flawless! This also led into one of my favorite albums ever!! "That magic in your pants, it's making me blush.""Die Young" is dedicated to Nicholas 2.0 and the Sandy Hook victims for their unfortunate losses. You are all missed :'( 6. Carly Rae Jepsen- Call Me Maybe I couldn't stand this at first. I thought it was immature and annoying. Well it kinda grew on me, and was able to chart, but only peaked at #16. However, it lasted over 30 weeks, shorter than only "Give Your Heart a Break" :O 20 of the weeks were between #16-20 :O :O Anyway, while this didn't truly grow on me until after it peaked, it had a great run on my chart, and is such a great song, worthy of its fantastic success! "I threw a wish in the well, don't ask me, I'll never tell.""Call Me Maybe" is dedicated to Au$tin, because PM me maybe 5. Selena Gomez and the Scene- Hit the Lights I've liked Selena more and more with everything she did this era. "Who Says" and "Love You Like a Love Song" both made my year-end Top 25s, and this song is perfect enough to make the Top 5 :O "Hit the Lights" is flawless. The chorus is fantastic, especially the "mad, mad world" part. Selena's voice on here is perfection, and so unique and even sexy. I really like how the theme of the song is played out too. The verses talk about how you may have missed a lot of opportunites, but then the chorus to tells you to just let go and live life to the fullest. Flawless song, and I still find myself going back to it! "It's all the dreams that never came true cause you're too damn scared to try.""Hit the Lights" is dedicated to Landmarx for no reason other than you deserve a dedication :) 4. JoJo- Disaster During my "Better Than I Know Myself" commentary, I said that Adam's label is the second worst management ever. Well the winner is... JoJo's fucking label, that was described best by Au$tin who believes they deserve to burn in hell. JoJo is one of the best talents I've ever heard, and they treat her like a piece of shit! I want her album, and I want her to be able to release it, because she deserves it! JoJo is so diverse and multi-talented, and I just love her. Anyway, this song is flawless! It's kind of a rehash of "Too Little, Too Late", but that song was flawless too, and I think this one's actually better :O The lyrics, the melody, the production, and especially the flawless vocals are just perfection! I want more JoJo!! "Feel the fire cause it's all around and it's burning for forever and always.""Disaster" is dedicated to Flopfire because :kii: - Busy day today Top 3s coming tomorrow!!! And I know this hasn't done anything yet, but any final guesses???

Well fine I'll admit you get a dedication, but you'll have to settle for something that isn't your jam
