This song is basically like going to your favourite restaurant, which usually serves steak, lobster and caviar, and being served chicken nuggets and fries instead of filet mignon. Now, everyone loves them some chicken nuggers, but this is your favourite spot cuz you always get some delicious s**t you ain't gonna get anywhere else. But then they started serving fast food. And the first two times you go and get it, you're like... okay, this is a little weird but it's f**king good so I don't care!! But then you start thinking... hmm, I can just go down the street to get me some fries, I don't have to come all the way out here. There's plenty of spots that make some bomb ass nuggets. But you decide to give it one more try, third time's the charm right? So you go, and this time the nuggets taste like reheated leftovers and the fries are soggy and the whole thing has just lost its appeal. If I wanted this s**t, I'd go to McDonalds, you think to yourself. This is... scary accurate.

Sadly I can't relate to the analogy. Let's not pretend I could afford to have been going to some steak & lobster restaurant in the first place. Which is probably why I have loved this song the whole time and it still sounds amazing to me~

If WANEGBT and IKYWT are steak and lobster in that analogy, respectively, then I'm kind of at a loss for words. Best I can reason is that she's suffered from releasing three similar-sounding, Pop-heavy singles in a row.

If WANEGBT and IKYWT are steak and lobster in that analogy, respectively, then I'm kind of at a loss for words. Steak, lobster, caviar = Taylor's old material; unique and hard to find elsewhere First two fast food trips = WANEGBT and IKYWT; basically the same stuff you can get from others but still really good Third fast food trip = 22; same style but it got old and is worse now Just like that restaurant, Taylor started serving us what we were getting from everyone else, instead of what we came to love her for.

If WANEGBT and IKYWT are steak and lobster in that analogy, respectively, then I'm kind of at a loss for words. Steak, lobster, cavier = Taylor's old material; unique and hard to find elsewhere First two fast food trips = WANEGBT and IKYWT; basically the same stuff you can get from others but still really good Third fast food trip = 22; same style but it got old and is worse now Just like that restaurant, Taylor started serving us what we were getting from everyone else, instead of what we came to love her for. The subject matter remains largely the same so at least the restaurant didn't switch locations.

I wonder if there will be 4th single? If Red is not released I will refuse to refer to this girl as other than hoe or slut.

If we're going to continue this analogy, the restaurant has sold off the last of its fast food now, so it has no choice but to return to its original menu. No more Max Martin pop songs on Red.

IMO This song sounds like a rehash of WANEGBT that's why it's not doing so well.
And I'll say it again that Red should have been the 3rd single.

Or the restaurant could retrieve the expired fast food they threw out from the dumpster and serve that.

But the worry is that, because the restaurant has cheapened their image so much by serving up so much fast-food, previously loyal customers aren't even going to bother dropping by in future to see what they've got to offer.

Personally, I think it's been McDonalds all along masquerading as something finer. If you're interested in some authentic fine dining, drop me a note and I'll give you some choice recommendations.

Imo she should ditch "Red" as the next pop single. She should release "Holy Ground" because it is very mature and it is not about bashing guys, but seeing the beauty after a broken relationship. I think she needs to ditch the really pop sounding songs because after a while they grow tiring.
On country, after HDC peaks, she needs to release "All Too Well". It would be perfect because she NEEDS to keep her country fanbase happy.

The song is up to #13 on iTunes. I don't know what's causing this, maybe it's memorial day weekend and all the parties but I ain't even mad.

Wonderful, Coke finally took Pepsi's lead and made good use of their investment.

At least it peaked higher on HAC, #9 at the moment Daylight's wig is not so close but I think it can get #8 when all is said and done.

I may also add that this is the highest it's been on iTunes since the album came out, if I'm not mistaken.

When I saw Taylor in her Katie perry like outfits and set on the Grammies I knew she had taken a bite of the poison apple. Bye bye country longivity hello fickle pop stardom

I like how it's very stable on iTunes even with minimal radio support.
