YOUR ONE-DAYS: RCA's Justin Timberlake will stay at #1 for a third week. Here are this week's key debuts:
The Band Perry (Republic Nashville) 105-115k Tyler The Creator (Columbia) 85-95k New Kids on the Block (The Block) 45-50k Killswitch Engage (Roadrunner) 40-45k Bring Me The Horizon (Epitaph) 24-27k
In other market news, album sales were up 7% against last week and up 6% vs. the same week last year. However, Easter fell a week later in 2012, so make of that what you will. Speaking of which, we're still eating Easter candy from 2012, and the Peeps are finally getting stale enough. (4/3p)

Decent numbers for all. Both Band Perry and Tyler are about double the sales of what they debuted with their last albums. New Kids is down about half the sales from their 08 release and Killswitch is down about 10K from their 09 release. Could be worse.

Good start for The Band Perry, though I was hoping it would be a little higher and take #1 from Justin.

I think The Band Perry will trend up as the week goes on. I think they should end up with around 125k.
For the JT haters, I think now with week 2 and week 3 under way, week 1 was not a fluke. Promotion can only go so far. People are only going to buy what they want. The fact that he is so solid is a great accomplishment.

Justin Timberlake Heading for Third Week at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Chart News /
It looks like Justin Timberlake's "The 20/20 Experience" will spend a third consecutive week atop the Billboard 200 chart next week. The set could sell in the range of 150,000 to 170,000, Billboard estimates, based on the sales patterns of the last couple albums that debuted with a half-million or more. We'll have a more exact sales projection for "20/20" in the next day or two. The new Billboard 200 chart's top 10 will be revealed on the morning of April 10. If "20/20" holds for a third week at No. 1, it will be the first set to spend its first three weeks at the top since "Red" did so on the charts dated Nov. 10 through Nov. 24, 2012. ("Red" then left the top slot for three weeks, only to return for another four-week engagement at No. 1.) The last male artist to rule for his first three weeks was nearly three years ago, when Eminem's "Recovery" spent its first three frames at No. 1 (July 10 through July 24, 2010). Next week's top debut should be country trio the Band Perry with its new album, "Pioneer.” The act's second set might sell around 110,000, according to industry sources, and bow at No. 2. Its self-titled first album debuted and peaked at No. 4 in 2010 with 53,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The smash set has gone on to sell 1.5 million in the U.S. and was the No. 6 best-selling country album of 2011. The second-highest entry next week could come from Tyler, the Creator with his second album, "Wolf." It may shift around 75,000 to 80,000 copies. His last set, "Goblin," debuted and peaked at No. 5 in 2011 off a 45,000 start. Other albums aiming for a top 10 start include New Kids on the Block's "10" (50,000) and Killswitch Engage's "Disarm the Descent" (45,000).

Now I'm dying to know who last had their first 4 weeks at #1. Michael Bublé's album Christmas spent its first 4 weeks at #1. Mumford & Sons' Babel & Taylor Swift's Red both came close, with their first 3 weeks at #1 in the 4th quarter of last year.

Recovery by Eminem. First 5 weeks. Now I'm dying to know who last had their first 4 weeks at #1. Michael Bublé's album Christmas spent its first 4 weeks at #1. Susan Boyle. First 6 weeks. I think. No, 1-1-3-1-1, only 4 non-consecutive weeks. It's still this: Recovery by Eminem. First 5 weeks.

Unless he holds really well, JT should get knocked out of #1 next week.

Brad Paisley and Paramore are the only two big name releases (that I know of) for next week. I'm thinking Brad will break 100k and be #1. Not so sure about Paramore. Brad's last album opened with 153k in May 2011 and Paramore's last opened with 184k in September 2009 (and since then they had a nasty split with two of the members).

Paramore still have a lot of fans though. Brad and Paramore will both without a doubt be over 100k.
It will probably be pretty close. I think JT has a small shot at #1 but orobably not

YOUR TOP 15: As expected, Justin Timberlake will remain at #1 for a third week, leading a Top 15 that reads like a who's who of the music industry with almost as many individual labels represented. The 20/20 Experience, already the year's best selling album in just three weeks, extends its lead over 2013's #2 best seller, Mumford & Sons, by nearly double, approximately 1.42m to 717k. Here's how it looks headed into the weekend:
Justin Timberlake (RCA) 140-150k *The Band Perry (Republic Nashville) 110-120k *Tyler The Creator (Columbia) 85-95k Blake Shelton (Warner Bros. Nashville) 75-80k Lil Wayne (Young Money/Cash Money/Republic) 65-70k *New Kids on the Block (The Block) 45-50k *Killswitch Engage (Roadrunner) 45-50k Imagine Dragons (Interscope) 35-40k Pink (RCA) 35-40k Bruno Mars (Atlantic) 30-35k Alan Jackson (Capitol Nashville) 27-30k Now 45 (Capitol) 27-30k *Bring Me The Horizon (Epitaph) 27-30k Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (Macklemore) 24-27k Mumford & Sons (Glassnote) 22-25k OneRepublic (Interscope) 22-25k
* Debuts
Meanwhile, we may or may not be on the brink of war with North Korea. Enjoy! (4/4p)

^How do you know this?
Walmart doesn't really discount albums.
Neither does Barnes & Noble.
Yes, it's been discounted at iTunes and Amazon.
