Snooki should be given a part of the money that WB is garnering from sales

I wonder how the Britney Jean era would have fared had Scream and Shout been HER lead single.
It's a crime this didn't smash though. It's too ahead of it's time me thinks

It's too ahead of it's time me thinks That or because Britney and her team ended up treating WB as if it was riddled with STD's and distanced themselves from it 8 seconds after it was released. #58 on iTunes which is amazing all things considered. Seriously, one performance could do so much....

Wow, Most of the boost is from Snooki, same thing happened the last time she danced to it. Here's hoping she performs this Tuesday, doubtful she will do anything but if so my guess is this will enter the top thirty on iTunes, The performance with the album release ....what a great song this is, the most forward thinking track on the album. Really think it flopped because of the radio edit, the bitch makes the song, Still convinced this will live on
On the other hand perfume left a bad scent, Brit can do ballads but with a good song, Alien would have been such a better choice, only heard it twice but got the not alone stuck in my head.

How much has this sold so far? If this reaches 1M then I guess I'll be okay with this flopping/underperforming, whichever you guys prefer lol. Sad that Snooki's performance is the only thing keeping this alive. Imagine if it were Britney herself. hays

A couple weeks ago someone posted 520,000 thousand. So maybe 600,000 by now. I think this is going to become one of her most well known songs eventually, a movie, a gym commercial, something will push thing song, it's too good, funny, innovative to be forgotten. Broadcast tv and the majority of radio stations won't touch it but a movie or cable network may.
It quite possibly could end up being her biggest hit off the album, The video is great, but one good performance of her with a whip. Slave 4 u is one of her signature songs and that peaked at 27, It had a great video but that had a few performance and of course the legendary snake.
Talk to me in two years. I will either be a genius or I can blame it on the crack smoking. (Kidding)

Part 2 of "Work Bitch" dance tutorial has been uploaded on Britney's YouTube channel. (I don't remember if part 1 was uploaded, but here it is just in case)

#49 on iTunes right now and still going up.
If by some miracle she performs at all next week then this could easily go up to at least top 20.

Whoever would think that it would take a miracle for an artist to do a performance for her leaf single on a studio album. Lol. Sucks to be a Brit fan.

It has that high energy scene feel.

Another performance of WB...that's not from Britney. It's from a Britney impersonator who did a fantastic job w/ the WB choreography.

Who would've thought 2.5 months after the release it'd still be Top 50 on iTunes? Pretty sure HIAM was long gone at that point lol

Because the song is amazing! It's such a shame that it wasn't as huge as it should have been. Still a hit though!

I think the radio edit hurt the song, it stunk. The word bitch worried stations also, when it didn't hit one on release everyone panicked and Brit fans wanted a different single right away.
I guessed they missed how campy and fun the song is. It something u have to hear a few times .
Not having a performance hurt too,
On the other hand it's has a great video, and it's showing legs, I hope it goes platinum and becomes one of her greTest hits.

I'm still not tired of this and I still think the video is the best of her career. After listening to the album, was it the best choice to lead? No. But, it's still an epic song. If this had come after a campaign of hits I think fans and the public could have appreciated the campiness of it more, maybe as third or fourth single.

Its not like this flopped though. Work Bitch did exactly what it was supposed to do. No one can argue that it didnt help get word out for new Britney music. I dont't think the label even expected this to go top 10 on CHR or go recurrent...that's Perfume's job to do.

I think they should have tried to push this a little bit more instead of releasing Perfum that soon.

what's the secret about this song? every time i listen to it, it's like the 1st time ever :O Because it's actually good. ITA with others that the label or Brit or both pushed it aside way too soon. I viewed it like Applause, it just needed time to catch-on with the masses. The Kia commercial did wonders for Applause when it was in that middling phase at radio and call-out scores. The commercial boosted sales and it got the hook in everyone's brain, which only helped at radio.

"Applause" also had the luxury of having a pop star who actually likes being a pop star and cares enough to perform. While WB had a pop star who performed in the form of a music video, lol.
Plus, the edit may have hurt it as well. It took emphasis away from the word "bitch", which is one of the selling points of the song. The song was basically declawed.
It was climbing an uphill battle and a performance in the form of a music video was not going help it overcome all that it had against it. It's nice that it's doing as well as it's doing now but it was a smart move to just move on. They likely wouldn't have planned anything to help this song even if "Perfume" was not a single at this point considering that it's the week her album debuts and there's practically nothing lined up for promo.

Hitting platinum in this climate isn't as big a deal as it may have been before digital sales really exploded. Still can't get into this track- my heart still belongs to "Ooh La La."

Let's see, Obviously it's going to drop , but I think a slow burn to this song, Who knows what they have planned for promotion, If they are following a plan, the plans not working good and besides the rush release of the worst song on the album they seem content. Sad. After the release of this single and then the video, I had high hopes.
This single is considered a flop right now, but it's going to be around for years .

I think you are reading the wrong thread, Flop is used in the perfume thread by me because it describes that song perfectly. Hasan is a very popular name for the Lebanese,

So finally I get my work bitch performance, it would have done wonders for this song had she performed it earlier on the Ama's, I've seen the videos of the Vegas show and it is the first time I think she performed good since her breakdown, I was impressed, she could have done any of the songs on a award show and it would have been considered good.
Just when I am about to write her off she come back in almost a big way, really happy for her.
I just wish she would not have released such a bummer of a album, at least she got another classic legendary song with work bitch.
