The fact that this song bounces back up practically every time there is even the slightest amount of promo makes me a bit disappointed that she didn't give this song a public performance. A proper performance of this song from her could have really helped. This track is totally the MATM of new Britney. If only Perfume would be the Everytime. ;( It's more like IS4U honestly and Perfume is like INAGNYAW.

In years to come this song will be compared to toxic because it is one of her best tracks. Needless to say if this was performed on a awards show now it would rocket to the top of iTunes, people recognize the beat and britney is performing pretty well, well enough that most people would appreciate it.
A performance on maybe the billboard awards so she could do part of this song and then part of whatever the next single is, if people see her performing well again, tickets to her vegas show would be a hot commodity.

We still have the Grammy's. Britney could perform there. Britney and those vegas shows are def. a hot commodity right now.

this is already becoming a Britney classic I agree. The song, video, tour performance - it's all perfect Britney. Femme Fatale's singles were much better than either of these two lead singles from Britney Jean.

This track is nowhere near as good as "Toxic," so I'm not sure what you're talking about, monster. :)
It did re-enter the Hot 100 at No. 86 this week, though.

I can admit to saying "WTF" upon first listening to this. It wasn't until maybe a week ago that I realized how iconic this song is. I can see it becoming a career highlight for her. People might appreciate it over time. I just wish there was a performance to cement that.

The Vegas performance is good (and certainly at least serviceable compared to many other recent female artists' performances,) and I feel pretty confident that it needed a little push for it to catch on. The consistently-decent sales attest to that.

Well, we all do have our preferences, that is true. :)
It just didn't click with radio listeners, and not much more with the general public- sales may be consistent, but it's not like the sales are in the upper region of the chart. A televised performance probably would result in upward movement on iTunes, but probably not to the top 20 or anything. We saw what kind of impact the video had.

If I'm not mistaken, it rebounded to the 20s on iTunes following the video premiere. With all versions combined, it moved 22-14 on Digital Songs the following week.

I Love this song but a lot of people I've spoken to thinks it's to repetitive. However a couple of people I know who doesn't care about Britney all that much love it.

^I went back and skimmed through this thread to confirm, and there it was. Thanks for the reminder. :)
On a related note, I'm not sure why people put weight on of-the-moment iTunes rankings. It's the final Digital Songs ranking that matters, and, for that week, as noted, it jumped eight spots to No. 14. WB did log one week in the Digital Songs top 10, though, when it entered at No. 6.

As many have repeatedly said, the radio edit killed it. It didn't click with radio listeners because of the edit. "Work work," to me, sucks. "Work Bitch" is my favorite Britney track since "Gimme More". General public-wise, this was a hit. People are still quoting it on on my facebook every morning "time for work, bitch".

Of course it was a "hit"- it peaked in the top 20 on the Hot 100. :) It just wasn't a very big one, with six weeks spent in the top half of the Hot 100.

Ok, this song is not as good as toxic but it is damn close, This is probably her second or third best single imo, The song is probably dead now but every time it got any kind of promotion it jumped pretty impressively up the iTunes Charts, the video, snooki's performances, the album release, start of Vegas and now the little boost from the peoples choice, and the song was only played for five seconds.
I think this song is going to see brighter days.

The song is so weirdly bizarre but I'm not sure why radio gave up on it, to be honest. The critical and public response to this wasn't that bad, and fan response was overwhelmingly positive. It also had a pretty big impact on pop culture too-- from a potential Rihanna cover to a South Park parody. When is the last time any of her singles got a response like that?

I think this this song and video are among her career bests, perfume is to me the worst single she has ever released, not to mention one of the worst songs of her last four albums, anyhow I was soooo mad about her not doing a performance for this song, and then releasing the crappy perfume song, then hearing the whole album was somewhat disappointed, I wondered why I was a fan, But after seeing some of her vegas show online, seeing her move and dance, something she hasn't done since 2004 I am happy to say I can't wait to see what she does next, a performance of this song on a high rated special would make me really happy,
Chelsea handler ragged on her big time the other night saying she couldn't dance, I think she probably seen a small clip and not the whole performance, I want people to see the new improved britney, every performance I saw online was better than any performance she has done since 2007
And yes the song and video cement this song as iconic but a tv performance ,,damn,

I think the title alone hurt Britney in addition to her last single "Scream and Shout" included "Britney Bitch". Also I think radio is a little tired of all the Euro dance rehash.

You'd have a point if that point wasnt that Work Bitch was a "euro dance rehash" wrong, it was actually one of the more original and daring songs from the pop girls this past year. If the rest of the album was as daring as WB she would be running shit rn

Yeah Work Bitch may be EDM but it doesn't fit with the other generic EDM radio singles from others IMO. It hits a lot harder than the others.
