I find the song decent, but I wouldn't call it amazing. I much preferred "Pocahontas Proud", "When It Rains", and "The Bed" on her first release to the singles that she put out but I didn't dislike any of them. This one sits @ #28 this morning on Mediabase.

So where ever it lands tonight will be its R&R and BB debut? Or will that come next week?

Gretchen debuts on this weeks R&R at #24 for "All Hyped Jacked Up". It's ridiculous the way radio does this kind of thing for a song that's seriously average. Spins: 1109 Aud: 11.425 Stations: 112 If you sort the R&R chart by audience alone, she's ranked 20th.

Does Shania's Love Gets Me Every Time hold the "highest female debut" on Billboard with a #22 entry? If that's the case, then Gretchen might have a chance at bettering it. There was a nice-sized audience gap between Hicktown and It's A Heartache on last week's Billboard, 11.3 to 9.8. If Gretchen has an audience total similar to Faith's debut, 10.5 on the 5/28 chart, she'll fit right in between those two. With Blake gone up above, that would be a #21 debut.

Shania's "Love" debuted at #29. She holds that record with "Gonna Getcha" which debuted at #24 in its first week, October 2002. She kept her record on R&R, as "Love" debuted at #20 there..

The country music e-mail alert from Billboard Radio Monitor had this to say today:
With the lead single and title track from her forthcoming "All Jacked Up" album invading the chart at No. 20, Gretchen Wilson sets a new debut record for a female artist and posts the second highest bow in the monitored airplay era. With just over five days of airplay, "All Jacked Up" makes 11.2 million audience impressions at 108 monitored stations. She tops a No. 24 bow in October 2002 by Shania Twain's "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!" in the female category, and is second only to Garth Brooks' No. 19 start with "The Thunder Rolls," which holds the BDS-era high debut record at No. 19 (May 1991).
--------
I think the song is all pucked up along with country radio at-least right now. Right now I only like 2 songs out of the Top 20 from last week. Sugarland and Sara Evans.

I have a feeling there was a typo on the BB newsletter as the "Chart Highlights" that they post on their site list the song as the Highest Debut/Greatest Gainer/Most Airplay Adds at #21. They have "Hicktown" as an "Airpower" record at #20.
The full chart comes out tomorrow for those who pay for the Airplay Monitor subscription, so we'll know for sure then whether she came in at #20 or #21.
Doesn't matter with the record as she'll be second whether she's at #20 or #21.

1492 spin gain for AJU's first week on MB. How does that compare to the largest spin gains for LLYWD, Have You Forgotten, and other huge songs the past few years?
Of course, the size of the monitoring panel has not been the same (121 stations for Gretchen, I think in the 140's for Worley), so you can't make perfect comparisons.

Indeed, she debuts at #21 according to this morning's chart. 27 if it was based on spins however. Shania might have debuted in the top 20 had they done audience based back then too!

Congrats she may of got that high debut but the song defintley doen't deserve the hype it is getting. She passed many songs that are way better than this.

Y'all might remember that I made a comment on the thread for Toby's single that "As Good As I Once Was" was pretty much "the perfect chart run". I know it's way early, but I think we already have a new champion chart run in the making. Already, in just her first week, she's beaten Toby's best-ever one-day performance. Toby's best one day gain on R&R was 1.377 million. Gretchen on Tuesday alone gained 2.325 million. She's already beat his best day by ONE MILLION! Same story with spins. Toby's best one-day spin increase was 171. Pretty damned impressive, until you look at what Gretchen did on Tuesday. She gained 254! I mean, come on! :o Her bullet is 1492. I wonder what the all-time highest R&R bullet is? Toby's biggest bullet was a mere 914. That Toby... Tsk tsk... he's such a slacker.

I know it's way early, but I think we already have a new champion chart run in the making. It's all the fault of those redneck lyrics, boogie-woogie guitar break, and that call and chant. We're doomed to hearing this song on the radio every fifteen minutes for the next six months. ~ Jim

I'm thinking Darryl Worley scored the highest multiple week spin gains. He reached #1 on BB in a mere 5 weeks, and gained an avg of almost 1000 each and every single week to do that.

Thanks smack. I wasn't following the country charts at that time. Heck, I wasn't following any charts at all until last year. By the way, Gretchen had a bit of a 'correction' today. On the early morning daily R&R update, she's only up 10 spins and actually down 322K in audience.

When I Think About Cheatin' isn't a cheatin' song anyway. She doesn't even get through one dance with the guy she's imagining cheatin' with, before she abandons the idea lest her man will leave her. That's wuss music, not a cheatin' song. It's about as far from "nympho" as you can get. She doesn't even kiss her stranger, let alone "nymph" him.
All Jacked Up isn't especially a redneck song. To me, it's just a bad song. No special category is necessary: it's just a bad song, featuring bad melody, bad singing, bad arranging, bad lyrics, and no clue. But not especially redneck, if that matters, which it doesn't. If y'all enjoy it, don't let my displeasure bother you any.

I don't recall stating anything about "milking the redneck woman thing". If I did, please point it out. I said just because it talks about drinking and getting drunk doesn't make it pure redneck.

This is easily her WORST single to date; the fact that it debuted @ #24 in R&R doesn't change my opinion of it under any circumstances.
If she does get to #1, she won't stay there very long, because Keith Urban's 'Better Life' is going to spend SEVERAL weeks at #1.

I actually think this is a fun tune and will do well for her. I don't know about Keith and what this new single will do for him. Heck, been so long since I've listened to that blah cd that I don't even remember what it sounds like.

Love this song myself. Glad to see it doing so great right away. I think you either love Gretchen and get what she does or you hate her---doesn't seem to be a lot middle ground.
