^ Yeah, Haunted is a masterpiece. I hope they send it to radio eventually.

It's not my fault. I made it "TBA" and then Adam (UTR) changed the title on me. Twice. :'( All this after someone locked it, too. My poor thread. :'( Of course it was. Adam (UTR) is a shady sis tbh.

I love this it's one of my faves and she shot the video at Funplex!
I remember going to my cousins bday parties there and going skating in that rink. Funplex was the spot in middle/high school lol.

This is my least favorite along with the opening track.

Now don't every Beyonce fan massacre me at once, but I honestly don't see this album producing anything more than an urban hit or two. I appreciate her for trying something different, but the album just really isn't a singles or radio album. 4 was far more mainstream friendly, and look how those single did (outside of urban). I think XO would have been the safer choice for CHR, but it's not really a big deal since I don't think that would smash either.

It makes no sense to me that the CHR/Pop single is Urban, but they're sending something else to Urban. This could just be the single across the board. But they're probably just trying to get multiple songs out there. Urban will play a bunch of Beyoncé songs at the same time like they always do. I'm assuming they're of the mind set, more successful songs = more album sales.

LOVE this choice. It will be the 'Single Ladies' of this album.
Time to vindicate 'Run The World' :'(

I like the retro vibe of it...but it is so much more Solange for me than Beyonce! Haunted rest my favorite after hours of listening to the album

"Blow" is easily my favorite on the album. Love its disco flavor, Bey's smooth vocal and don't get me started on the lyrics! Who knew she had that filthy side to her?! The video is my favorite of the bunch too. I like the colorful, 80's throwback and all of her outfits/styling. She looks incredible. I'm glad this is a single, hope it slays.

I agree with him in a way. 4 had a lot of pop-friendly songs on it like End of Time, Countdown, Best Thing I Never Had, however, it was released in 2011, probably the worst time in this century to release an album like that. 2013 has been a lot more friendly to Beyonce's kind of music, so I think she could get bigger hits with this album.

Hmm dunno what to say yet until I hear the hook, chorus. Do like the beat so its a good teaser. Its like summer 2013 all over again lol when everything sounded like it was from 1979/80 lol. This is def. going for the same sound and riding the trend. Sounds very SOS Band/ very early 80s funk/dance lol. From all the clips I'm def. feeling Haunted (both the song and esp. that video)! Wow, she reeally needs to get that out (as possibly single #3 or #4)!!

Yeah, in 2011 it wasn't pop friendly, but pretty much anytime before then and after then those songs were imo. Some of the songs on 4 have very strong melodies, catchy hooks, full production, they could have been pop hits. It's just that in 2011 you had to do dance-pop music to get the biggest pop hits. Only Adele was able to stop that mess.

Pop's love of Pharrell and the disco revival makes this a no-brainer. It will be her Blurred Lines from this album.

OK I will be the odd one out again. I listened to this a couple of times. I can't tell where the chorus starts or ends. Does it even have a hook? It just starts and goes on and on and on...

I also feel like this will be a Single Ladies situation, except backwards. I expect Drunk in Love to absolutely explode on Urban and peak really fast (at #1 of course). Then Urban radio will latch on to this one, and there you have the crossover smash that we all want. :)

Remember that happened almost 10 years ago with their double albums.

You guys are forgetting that Get Lucky and BL were both far poppier and hooky than this song. I like this song quite a bit, but let's not pretend this has anywhere near the hooks of either of those. It's too unconventional for pop. As some others here have already pointed out, it's hard to make out where the chorus is, and that's a problem for pop. I predict a similar run to Run the World on CHR, albeit with a little higher peak since big name songs take off so huge these days.

I can see this taking off really fast at CHR/Pop and stalling in the teens.

Yeah, urban is another story. This very well could be a hit there. I'll be shocked if it's a pop hit, and I called Single Ladies a pop smash back in the day from the moment I heard it.

This song self edits itself for radio. Cut out the a capella out and cut it right after Cherry ends. SMASH. Skittles, flavor, and turn that cherry out will be the new hot words for next year.

I'd liken this more to Justin's "Take Back The Night" in that it's a throwback to the style of early 80s R&B (post-disco) that didn't even cross over to CHR/Pop back then.
