"Drunk In Love" is the lead single for urban and rhythmic from Beyoncé's self-titled 5th album, a visual album. It has picked up airplay on pop even though "XO" is being pushed there.
Peaks:
Pop: 12 Rhythmic: 1 (4 weeks) Urban: 1 (7 weeks) Urban AC: 8
Hot 100: 2 Radio Songs: 6 Digital Songs: 7 Streaming Songs: 1 (4 weeks) R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay: 1 (8 weeks) Dance/Club Play Songs: 12

The Hey Ya of this Era. I think this will blow up much more quickly once more call out numbers for this are available. Pop radio should be playing this on their own to a greater degree than it has. Its always so behind lately. Pop radio has become a follower format and not a leader format.

I love this song, more than "XO" right now, even though the latter is also amazing. Hope this becomes huge.

I love "XO", but this is doing too well to neglect it. Go!

I've already heard this on WNOW in New York. I wonder if Pop will totally purge "XO" or play them alongside each other.

This is definitely a better song than XO, though I'm a huge fan of both. I don't care which smashes as long as at least one of them gets the job done.

Pop radio should let XO hang around and when DIL has run its course they already have a worthy follow up and the other Ryan T tracks will have fallen down the charts by then giving XO its own lane.

I've already heard this on WNOW in New York. I wonder if Pop will totally purge "XO" or play them alongside each other. XO is moving so slowly. No, it's not. It's only been in the top 50 for 26 days and is already #19. It's literally the youngest song in the top 20. It has a very healthy bullet and has been consistently getting updates between +80 and +150. There is no need to purge it. That's debatable. It certainly is doing well on pop radio, but it doesn't seem to be connecting very well when you look at streaming and digital sales. The callout scores have yet to come out for "XO," though, so right now there isn't much of a reason to purge it yet, but if the scores come in and they're crappy to go along with the low streaming and digital sales, it might be time to give it up. Pop radio should let XO hang around and when DIL has run its course they already have a worthy follow up and the other Ryan T tracks will have fallen down the charts by then giving XO its own lane. That's not going to happen. A song that hasn't peaked just isn't going to stay inside the top 40 of a chart for 15-20 weeks while another song by the same artist comes in. They can either become hits together, or one becomes a hit over the other. One isn't waiting around unless the record company holds off "Drunk in Love" on pop until after "XO" peaks, but even then we'd likely see an "Unconditionally"/"Dark Horse" or "If I Were a Boy"/"Single Ladies" situation.

Excited to see how this does!
If this doesn't do well, I'll use her album sales to dry my tears.

If "XO" ends up doing well, this might end up being her "What's My Name".

I need today's update. Must've been huge. Unfortunately not (at least audience). When you look at all stations urban and rhythmic (maybe urban AC too) had a lot more audience there, adding up to almost the entire overall update. Less than 100k for pop. It made me sad.
