Just noticed that this song started to chart on HAC as well, #49 on MB today.

Yet another error by Billboard: "Need You Now", anyone? SMH, Billboard Maybe solo artist? The article didn't say that, though. If you read the whole thing in last night's BCU it mentions solo males, solo females, and groups, and says no artist has spent more than 4 weeks at #1 since Taylor had a 6-week run in 2007. Well, "Need You Now" of course spent 5 weeks at #1 in late 2009. Billboard just doesn't fact-check very well of late.

The bigger tragedy in that article is the fact that Never Wanted Nothing More was a five week chart topper.

The bigger tragedy in that article is the fact that Never Wanted Nothing More was a five week chart topper. That's one of my favorite Kenny songs. It was the lead single at a time when Kenny was red hot and was extremely radio friendly. Might not be your cup of tea, but I still love that song to this day. "Well, I'm what I am and I'm what I'm not, I'm sure happy with what I've got, I live to love and laugh a lot, And that's all I need." One of my favorite Kenny lyrics.

I too liked "Never Wanted Nothing More". Not as much as his next single "Don't Blink" which is probably my second favorite song of his behind "Anything But Mine". "Don't Blink" was supposed to be the lead single for Poets and Pirates: Just Who I Am but the label changed their minds at the last minute. He also released "Better As A Memory" off that album which is another favorite of mine from him. In regards to "Play It Again" spending multiple weeks at #1, I really wish there were more of these now and days like there were 7 or 8 years ago. I'm sick of the rotating door at #1 especially MB and wish that labels would settle for a #2-5 peak.

Thank God this song is finally dropping. Maybe now my cousins and niece will finally stop singing it all the time. I went to see Luke both Thursday night and last night, and that man puts on a heck of a good show! (Lee and Cole were really good live too. Cole still needs to work on his dance moves.) This was the encore (along with Country Girl). He also performed This Is How We Roll with Lee and Cole.
