After the initial buzz, I'm kind of over this song now. It still doesn't seem Sheeran-y to me. I haven't checked out his other songs from the album yet though but I'll still get the CD anyway.

The rap is what kills it for me. The rap needed to be the bridge, and there needed to be another fully sung verse. I can't into the song fully because the song's stricture doesn't flow well. The rap verse itself is also really poor. Disappointed.

I'd say the rap is my favourite part of the song. The chorus is my least favourite.

My favorite parts:
1. The rap 2. The Oh's/Chorus 3. The ending (when the two parts combine) 4. 1st verse 5. The breakdown

Every time I hear this I feel like it is a song Justin Timberlake passed on but I sure do love it.

As I said previously, this song is derivative Pharrell - basically, Pharrell ripping himself off in producing this. Next song/single, please. Actually I'd love it if he made "Don't" next.

Pharrell does this with everything though. As distinct as his style is, the songs themselves are almost indistinguishable from each other. Ok, slight exageration, but you get the point. Regardless, I don't think this is *that* Pharrell sounding-- at least not 2014 Pharrell. I actually had no idea he produced it, although it makes perfect sense.

This seems to be destined to be his first number one in UK. Big advantage over the last two number ones (secondcity and Sam Smith). So if this doesn't start to tank (it happened to some of ODirection singles that after a big advantage managed to lose number one) it will be a sure shot at number one next week

Indeed now his first UK #1. Sold 123k which (provided I counted right) places it as the 5th highest opening of this year so far (behind Rather Be, Timber, Hideaway and Waves).

Just heard this song for the first time this weekend and I keep thinking Justin Timberlake, however I do really like it. Never expected it to be Ed Sheeran though.

I don't think his falsetto is very good. I much prefer the other parts of the song.

I feel like this song got lost in the shuffle. It did well -- top ten, clearly -- but it seems to be falling prematurely, especially given the way it started off.

This song has about 2 weeks until it disappears and we realistically will never hear it again. No way this has any legs for recurrent.
"One" is a great song, I think it will be huge or flop, if it flops, Sheeran is pretty much done with this era, which to me, would be a real surprise. I just think "Sing" was such a departure and obviously mimicked JT so much that it turned people off, I really don't know. I think a lot of people are tired of Pharell as well as much as I hate to say it. There's a reason he didn't have multiple songs on the charts that were smash hits at the same time for the past 14 years, right?

Just heard this song for the first time this weekend and I keep thinking Justin Timberlake, however I do really like it. Never expected it to be Ed Sheeran though. This. I ignored this when it came out, in what, April? I didn't like any of his previous singles so I didn't check this one out until I was on my road trip to New York. I kept hearing this song on the radio, but every time the song ended I either couldn't hear who they said sang it or they cut to another song. It wasn't until I got home and specifically searched for this song that I discovered it. Love it now, but I'm very late to the game.
