Seth Rogen will return to host SNL for a third time April 12, with musical guest Ed Sheeran. Rogen’s comedy Neighbors, which costars Zac Efron and Rose Byrne, hits theaters May 9. Taylor Swift pal Sheeran is making his debut as musical guest; he plans to premiere the first single from his second album on SNL.Source: insidetv.ew.com/2014/03/19/snl-anna-kendrick-seth-rogen/

I wonder who produced the first single?! Jake Gosling? Rick Rubin? Pharrell?

I was one of the few people who really loved "I See Fire", hope this goes the same way.

He said (on the Grammys?) that he had like 4 or so "pop/radio" tracks and the rest are all ala newer material (which I assume he was referencing songs like I See Fire)

Interested in hearing this. I really hope he did not abandon his pop-rap style for a folkier, Mumfordite sound. So no. Definitely don't want this to sound like "I See Fire"

"I See Fire" isn't Mumford-esque, it's more of a traditional-sounding folk song, which Ed pulls off quite nicely. If he could incorporate that with his rap-style vocals, then it'd definitely be a super-interesting single for sure!

I'm interested in hearing this.
I hope for less of the similar sounding guitar ballads that took up his last album and more exploration. I really like it when he goes for an acoustic hip-hop sound and wish he would showcase that more.

I'm curious. For me, he's one of those artists that I respect and even low key like some of his songs, but not interesting enough to actively listen to on my own time. He's genuinely talented though and in a place right now where if he plays his cards right, he can really blow up to the next level. It'll be interesting to see if he can leverage that or not.

This should be interesting. Ed Sheeran & Pharrell aren't even similar artists at all. My guess is this is going to be underwhelming.

This should be interesting. Ed's one of my favorite newer artists; I could see this really blowing his career up in the US if it's good. If not, I'll probably still love it.

Being a collaboration with Pharrell I'm expecting something groovier, a-la-You Need Me, I Don't Need You. Hopefully it's his American breakthrough,
