Looks like Charli XCX is going to get #1 on overall airplay!? :o She's still 100 million behind Sam though, she could peak before she catches up I guess.

She looks to be peaking within the next couple weeks based on how the airplay increases have slowed, I doubt it will reach above 150M AI due to it not really having any AC potential/other formats than pop potential.

I doubt it will reach above 150M AI due to it not really having any AC potential/other formats than pop potential. Fancy, The Monster, and Thrift Shop were all multi-week #1s on Radio Songs even though they had even less potential than Boom Clap on formats other than Pop and Rhythmic...those two formats are quite dominant over AC and others so they're often enough for a #1 lol...

1. Shake it off 2. All about that bass 3. Anaconda 4. Stay with me 5. Rude 6. Break free 7. Black widow 8. Fancy 9. Bang bang 10. Rather be
in fact based on YouTube "streams" for Anaconda, it might even make top 2...it broke the 24-hour Vevo record (previously held by Wrecking Ball which I would've preferred because at least the song is good even though the video is awful too)...luckily Taylor should be able to save us! Phew! This is why I'm not too keen on the YouTube/Vevo streaming methodology because a lot of people just watched the video to look at Nicki's ass and not for the song but I'm not trying to start the rant again...it does account for some popularity because I'm sure a significant portion of people watched for the song...I'm thinking they should account for the number of likes and dislikes as part of their methodology. Anyway hopefully M Train will get enough points to stop Nicki from surpassing Super Bass for her highest peaking song as a solo artist (thus not counting BedRock)

Naw, she "needs" that #2 spot, haha. It's funny how this is the one song of hers that could potentially peak the highest of them all (and would easily be a candidate for #1 if T Swift didn't show up and splash right in the nick of time). I would definitely prefer something like Starships or Turn Me On or even Super Bass to be the highest peaker. Those songs felt much bigger than Anaconda did and probably ever will...well we will see how it goes, as Anaconda's streams are slowing down (it's been more than 3 days and half of its streams were in the first 24 hours and most of those people were just curious and didn't watch it again because they realized that they hate it lol)

Taylor Swift Aiming For No. 1 On Hot 100 With 'Shake It Off'The song looks likely to soar in as her second Hot 100 leader next week. Expect a major "shake"-up atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart next week, as Taylor Swift appears headed for a No. 1 debut with her new single, "Shake It Off." Based on expected massive first-week sales, airplay and streaming, the song looks likely to open atop the ranking. Check out Billboard.com on Wednesday (Aug. 28) when highlights of the chart will post. (The full Hot 100 will update online the following day.) Swift released the celebratory, anti-negativity anthem on Monday (Aug. 18, just after 2 p.m. PT/5 p.m. ET), when she hosted a Yahoo! live stream. "Shake" introduces 1989, Swift's fifth studio album and first since Red two years ago. The set arrives Oct. 27 on Big Machine Records. Here's a look at how her new hit is shaping up in the Hot 100's three measurement metrics. SALESAccording to industry projections, "Shake" could start with more than 475,000 downloads sold in the U.S. in its first week (ending Sunday, Aug. 24). Such a sum would mark the biggest arrival this year, besting Ariana Grande's "Problem," which bowed with 438,000 sold and debuted at No. 1 on the May 17 Digital Songs chart. (It entered the Hot 100 at No. 3 and went on to peak at No. 2 for five weeks.) The last song to start north of 475,000 sold: Katy Perry's "Roar," which debuted atop the Aug. 31, 2013, Digital Songs tally with 557,000. It vaulted 85-2 on the Hot 100 that week ahead of its two-week stay at No. 1. STREAMINGIn addition to launching as the top-selling song in the country, "Shake" should begin as the most-streamed in its first week, too. According to preliminary data from Nielsen BDS, "Shake" easily drew the most streams in the U.S. on Aug. 18-19 on Vevo on YouTube: 6.3 million. Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass" ranks second with 2.7 million streams in that two-day span. "Bass" currently leads Billboard's Streaming Songs chart with 8.1 million U.S. streams overall, with 4.4 million via Vevo on YouTube, in the week ending Aug. 17. While it boasts a strong early lead in Vevo on YouTube streams, "Shake" is not available on on-demand audio services. AIRPLAY"Shake" is also bound for a monster frame of radio airplay in its first full week of availability. On BDS' building chart, the song ranks at No. 10 with 22 million in all-format audience since Wednesday. (Because the Radio Songs airplay chart, which powers the airplay component of the Hot 100, follows a Wednesday-Tuesday tracking week, while sales and streaming cover a Monday-Tuesday period, "Shake" debuted on this week's Radio Songs chart at No. 45 with 29 million impressions in its first two days. It was aided by hourly plays on participating Clear Channel and Media Entertainment-owned pop and adult pop radio stations in its first day and a half.) "Shake" currently ranks at No. 9 on both the building Pop Songs and Adult Pop Songs charts (which run Monday-Sunday). It's on track to make a record-setting start on each list, as no song has ever debuted in the top 10 since the tallies launched in 1992 and 1996, respectively. In all, Swift seems a safe bet to storm in at No. 1 on the Hot 100 next week. Should it rocket to the top, "Shake" would become her second No. 1, following "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." The first single from Red vaulted 72-1 on the Sept. 1, 2012, Hot 100 following its first week of availability. It led for three weeks total. www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/6229111/taylor-swift-shake-it-off-hot-100-chart-no-1-1989

I find Starships and Turn Me On extremely annoying, and I think Anaconda is great, so I guess Nicki will never please everybody. I'd rather see Anaconda at #1 than Shake it off, but I know that's not a possibility.

So the Taylor Swift song will start at 475,000? A travesty, I tell ya, no self respecting Taylor Swift fan would accept anything less than 476,000. This one is a flop. Her career is over !! Just kidding

Excellent! I like Shake it Off, and I'm glad that its blocking All About That Base (although I wouldn't be surprised if All About That Base still gets to #1 after Shake It Off drops).

Enigma. Since Wrecking Ball . That happened because it only went back atop due to the Chatroulette(?) parody. Before that "Last Friday Night" also made the 1-5 drop in 2011.

Guess we will finally have some emotion happening in the top 10 after long weeks with the old same thing.

Sooooo.. 1->5 is possible for Rude.. Will that be the steepest drop from #1 since...when? I think since Eminem's "Not Afraid" debuted at #1 in May 2010 and then fell 1-6 the following week and Britney Spears' "Hold It Against Me" did exactly the same thing IIRC. I remember "Lose Yourself" also by Eminem fell 1-9 after a 12-week run at #1. Does anyone know the record for the biggest drop from #1 in the history of the chart??? Guess we will finally have some emotion happening in the top 10 after long weeks with the old same thing. Was thinking about that lately too! So glad to finally see some shake up and newer songs making big jumps! That should make for a less boring Hot 100

This is why I'm not too keen on the YouTube/Vevo streaming methodology because a lot of people just watched the video to look at Nicki's ass and not for the song but I'm not trying to start the rant again... A lot of people just watched the Taylor video to see her make a fool or herself and listened to song to hear how awful it was. Doesn't mean they like it. What's the difference? If you don't want to start the rant again, don't.
