No shade to any of the songs on this list b/c they're all great, it's just that there are so many great hip-hop songs that got snubbed. 2pac, 90s' Snoop and Dre, Nas, Wu Tang Clan, some Common...the 90s was the golden era of rap, imo. Of course if we're really going to go old school, Run D.M.C. and LL Cool J warrant mentions as well. And even with that I know I'm wrongly leaving some people out.
I'm kind of too stuck on the omissions but I decided to vote for Lose Yourself b/c that has become something of a modern classic and Em's signature, and Doo-Wop (That Thing) b/c Lauryn's one and only album was truly a masterpiece that has held up even after all this time.
