I'm going to echo on a lot of others' statements and say this is my second favorite 1D single behind "Story of My Life". I think this is the direction I like the most for them. With that said, I'll take "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" for the next single lol.

Somebody please tell me why this isn't smashing. Easily their best single so far. Tell your worries to come back in a couple of weeks, when year-end radio play will be over and newer singles in general can go back to making progress again (rather than just the TOLs and Hanging Trees of the landscape). :)

As of now ,I'd probably rank this as my third favorite single of theirs behind Kiss You and One Thing.

This should start to climb soon. The song is doing well on itunes and it's a very pleasant song (and no polarizing). I think they have a chance for a third top 10 on pop

I hope this becomes another SOML for them on CHR, because it's another song in a similar vein to that one, and I actually prefer this one, which has become my favorite 1D single. That said, I'm worried this won't do nearly as well because even though it's starting to sell now, the sales for this were lagging for awhile and it hasn't been growing much in the way of airplay, and not just because of the holiday season. I'm a little skeptic of its chances just like all their other singles that should've done far better.

This is still going but so slowly... amazing how many of their singles have peaked between 12-21. What's going to happen?
EDIT: Just realized this has literally been in the same spot for a month! :o I can't remember seeing a single just tread water like this for so long.

This is going to be ran over by several songs if it doesn't start moving quick. I wish radio would get over whatever they have against this group. If listeners didn't want to hear them then they wouldn't be selling out stadiums and platinum albums. Radio just gave an ex Jonas Brother a #1 hit so they can do the same for 1D. Come on!

Is it just me, or has this song pretty much been forgotten about? Like...it doesn't seem like there's been any buzz for them after the holidays, and none for the song, either.

Are there just a few stations that are playing this song more? I never hear 1D here in DC except for SOML. Granted, I don't usually listen to the radio, but still. I'm surprised some of their singles got as far as they did on the pop chart which goes back to my question. I can't see this picking up but it IS still going!

They are not promoting the song, and i know they are very big and all that jazz, but they need to start to make some noise. A hit helps the album sales and the road to irrelevance is icredibly short for a boyband

With 70.8% familiarity, this is the 3rd most liked, 6th most favorited, and 2nd least disliked song in the pop callout scores. This definitely should be performing way better.

That's just proof that if this song dies around #20 then it is radio industry prejudice alone against 1D taking priority over listening to their listeners.

Well, Riptide and Stolen Dance scores were great and Stolen dance is dead and Riptide is not doing that well.
They need promo, do a tv performance, make the song top 10 on itunes and made difficult to radio to ignore your song

Well, Riptide and Stolen Dance scores were great and Stolen dance is dead and Riptide is not doing that well. For that matter, Vance Joy and Milky Chance were complete strangers to Pop up until now, though the underperformance of one and struggles of the other haven't really helped as far as that goes. 1D obviously don't have that problem.

For what it's worth: They did make numerous promotions towards this song in the beginning. They performed this at the AMAs, SNL, Dick Clark's New Years Rockin' Eve, and some more places. It's not like they did nothing for it. I guess it just didn't connect. Sure, nothing has happened as of late, but it's not like they didn't try at all.

But their song is underperforming too, no matter how famous they are. In fact it's on the verge, the small positive uddates are hopefull because if starts to fall it will drop like usually their singles do after peaking in the 15-20 zone. They are big, but they only have two big hits on pop radio What i wanted to say it's no matter how good the callout scores are, if radio doesn't want, a song doesn't happen. And in other comparative example, I'm not the only one scores were better than Jealous, and Sam is way bigger than Nick right now. Jealous peaked at 1, I'm not the only one probably will peak at 4 (at 3 if its lucky enough) I think they are not doing the promo of the singles well. It's not the first time. With a correct video and being a theirs, any song is going to sell well in the first weeks and get decent (or very good) airplay. They need some timing to get their songs to a different level. They were unlucky that the song rose on itunes during the freeze, and they didn't capitalize that on airplay They are not at any risk, but if none of their singles took off, they will probably end their era too soon (not that it's going to affect that much their album sales)

If "Where Does Broken Hearts Go" does not get a chance at radio, it'll be the most stupid decision made in their entire career. That song is a sleeping monster waiting to go on the loose!

With 1D...clearly it would have to be something other than that. That said, the Callout scores just came in for this (this is the first week in about a month that that chart has actually updated, I think - josh, confirm?), so unless this decides to suddenly start free-falling, I'd say there isn't a need to panic yet.

That and "No Control" are what I want as singles. Both are jamsssss. "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" is more radio-friendly though.

RIP "Night Changes." Date of death was today with a -105 bullet after the life had been slowly draining from it over the last week. Another #19 peak. Liam hinted in an interview recently that their next single had "something to do with running" so obviously it's "Ready to Run." I'm guessing add date in late Feb or March. I don't see that one doing any better. "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" is the Top 10 smash in waiting that needs to happen now!

It would be refreshing to see a 1D song get into the Top 10 again. Almost every 1D song besides SOML and WMYB has peaked Top 20.

I began to wonder what was going on after the past few days of small negatives, but the +67 today means this is back to having a weekly bullet.
Looks like a (deserving) second wind is happening - now if its sales could just pick up a little...

I wouldn't get too excited. There are 2 songs with +1000 bullets ready to jump over this by the end of the week and the 3 songs below those all have +500 bullets. "Night Changes" probably won't make it into March in the top 30.

I'm looking more at the +77 that it got today (this went from a weekly negative yesterday to a +174 today cause it lost the -83 from last Thursday) - still good, but I'd really like it to stop following up with small losses the next day or two. For now, I'm still hopeful.
Ellie will pass them tomorrow, but I don't think they'll have much trouble staying out of Usher's reach for this week. Next week will be crucial.
