I honestly haven't liked anything other than "Latch" from what I've heard by them, but I hope this one is a good track!!!

I wonder if it's from Settle or something entirely new. I wanted "F For You" to be released, as that's the only other song I've liked from them aside from "Latch".

I have a feeling that it's going to be something new. I mean, Settle was released almost a year and a half ago, while a new version of the album was sold exclusively through Target, so I don't think there will be another re-issue for this album.
Personally, "F for You" would have been a great follow-up when "Latch" peaked a while ago on this format, but I would have preferred to see "White Noise" to be released instead, although the chances for this to happen were really low.

I'd have loved to see "White Noise" or "You & Me' released in the US on the coattails of their success, but honestly, those shits are so old now that I can't even feign interest. So may as well bring on something new and sync us up to speed with their UK release schedule. Let's just hope Mary's album isn't indication of a sophomore creative slump!

I'n wondering as well if it's an old song or what. I don't think it's too late to release another song since Latch was really old by the time it became a hit in the US and that didn't seem to hurt it much. They could go for the Mary J Blige remix of F For You (probably the song which would get played on most formats), or the Flume Remix of You & Me since that seemed to be quite successful last year.
I certainly wouldn't mind a new song though!

They should re-record this, Sam Smith's vocals sound very odd in it right now. I'm not sure Disclosure were necessary for this track, either, it doesn't seem to have very many EDM elements in it at all. 3/10

There isn't much to get out of an 18 second clip of pretty much nothing but I hope this smashes on the radio unlike Sam has done with LIC solo. Maybe this will be amazing.

From the clip, it actually reminds me a lot of the bonus track, "Together," from the deluxe edition of "Settle," which I love:

Music Video:I thought AllAccess would bring this back as under Cool New Music (with the proper audio of course!) after its radio premiere today, like it happened to "How Deep Is Your Love" and "She's Kinda Hot" last week, but it wasn't. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Hope it will be added/brought back in the following hours~ETA: The radio edit of the track (3:16 min.) is under Cool New Music and AllAccess brought back the previously Mexican audio too

Disclosure + Sam Smith = Masterpiece, first Latch and now Omen. Is fantastic.

I like it, but it's not nearly as good as "Latch," and I don't see it doing nearly as well either.

This is pretty good! That chorus hits HARD!
My only complaint is Disclosure's production takes a backseat to Sam's singing and Jimmy's hook writing. Can we get some more bouncy synths please?
As for the inevitable "Latch" comparisons, I feel like their creative intentions are soooo different that it's almost unfair to take the bait and do so. Disclosure was practically an underground act at that time and "Latch" wasn't intended to be a commercial hit. On the other hand, "Omen" is intentionally designed for radio playlists, Billboard chart, and general commercialism. There's a definite difference in sound as a result, but similar enough that you can tell it's by the same act right away... which is the proper balance to strike imo.

Taking this strictly on its own terms, it's good. The whole thing doesn't really reveal itself fully on the first listen, but the chorus more than does its job of sticking in your head. As far as it's commercialism relative to Latch goes, I think the press announcement a bit ago that this would mostly had a more song-based approach kinda defends them in advance. This fits those descriptions and builds off their climb up to now.

This is boring and the chorus is annoying.
